7:00 AM: Depart from your Nairobi hotel after breakfast, driving south (approx. 4-5 hours) through the Athi Plains. Enjoy scenic stopovers at viewpoints that offer glimpses of vast savannas and the distant Mount Kilimanjaro.
12:00 PM: Arrive at the Amboseli National Park entrance; enjoy a quick lunch at a picnic spot en route.
1:00 PM: Check in to your room in Amboseli Sopa Lodge.
3:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Afternoon game drive spotting elephants, giraffes, and lions against Kilimanjaro's backdrop.

Start your day with an early morning game drive for you to catch a glimpse of the snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro and enjoy the view of herds of zebra and wildebeest drinking at shimmering swamps. This early morning drive provides you with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spot predators like leopards or cheetahs in their prime hunting hours. After this thrilling experience, you will return to your lodge and enjoy your buffet breakfast, fuelling your energy for a full day packed adventure across the vast savannah of the Amboseli National Park. Enjoy up-close views of the majestic and trumpeting elephants, views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, and cultural immersion with the Maasai community located in their villages outside the park. For your memories, do not forget to take lots of pictures as Amboseli National Park is famous for its scenic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background of almost all shots of animals taken there!

Day 3

You will have your morning breakfast at Amboseli Sopa Lodge as you prepare to depart for Lake Naivasha - a 5-6 hour drive northwest passing through the outskirts of Nairobi with a couple of stops along the way for snacks, fresh fruits, and local crafts. You will also traverse changing landscapes from the Nairobi urban views to the Great Rift Valley escarpment (where we will stop at the viewpoint for stretching and photo-shooting). You will arrive at Muthu Lake Naivasha Country Club, freshen up, and enjoy a sumptuous lunch before we take a boat to the famous Crescent Island and enjoy the view of hippos, fish eagles, pelicans, among others. Later, you’ll have a guided 2-hour walk where you will get to see up-close giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, and birds – it's like a mini savannah on foot. No predators, so it's safe and relaxed. You will be back at your hotel for dinner and evening rest!

After breakfast, you will head out for a short drive to Hell's Gate National Park for a guided hike through these starkly beautiful and dramatic gorges, home to a variety of wildlife including baboons, zebra, hyena, African buffalo, giraffe, and even a handful of reclusive big cats, not forgetting the over a hundred species of birds. The alien landscape is characterized by sheer red rock cliffs and punctuated by spectacular rock towers and geothermal steam spewing from the underworld. You will then head to Lake Nakuru National Park and check into your hotel (Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge), freshen up, and grab your lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive around the soda lake, viewing flamingos, the endangered species of the white rhinos, and leopards.

Return to your hotel later in the evening for dinner and relax after a thrilling and adventurous-packed day!

As dawn breaks around 6:00 AM, savor a hearty breakfast at your Lake Nakuru Sopa lodge. By 6:30 AM, depart in a sturdy 4x4 safari vehicle, leaving behind Nakuru’s acacia-dotted plains. After about 70 km, pause at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint, where the escarpment’s dramatic cliffs unveil a breathtaking panorama of sprawling valleys. As you traverse the rift valley, the road winds through rolling hills, where Maasai herders in vibrant red shukas guide their cattle across golden grasslands, a timeless scene framed by the Rift Valley’s rugged beauty.
In the afternoon, you will arrive in the Masai Mara, settle for a delightful lunch, and savor local flavors like vegetables and nyama choma. Embark on a thrilling 3-hour game drive, traversing rolling hills and riverine thickets. The Mara’s beauty captivates wildebeest herds, especially vibrant during the July-to-September migration. After breakfast, you will head to a nearby Maasai village( optional $20pp). There, you will be welcomed with traditional songs and get a glimpse into the Maasai people's unique customs, homes, and way of life. You will explore handmade crafts and purchase a few colorful beaded souvenirs as keepsakes. After thanking your hosts, you begin the journey back to Nairobi, enjoying the scenic views of the Great Rift Valley along the way. By afternoon, you will arrive in the city, bringing with you unforgettable memories of the Mara.
