In the morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out of your rooms and transferring to your lodge at Lake Bunyonyi. The scenic 2-3 hour drive from Mgahinga Gorilla National Park winds through the lush southwestern highlands, passing terraced hills, small villages, and beautiful landscapes perfect for photos and cultural stops. Known as the “Place of Many Little Birds,” Lake Bunyonyi offers a peaceful retreat after your gorilla trek. Upon arrival, check in and have lunch, then spend the afternoon canoeing, birdwatching, exploring islands, or hiking to viewpoints overlooking the lake. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Transfer to Entebbe

After breakfast and a relaxing morning at Lake Bunyonyi, you will check out and begin the transfer back to Entebbe. The drive takes approximately 7 to 9 hours, depending on road conditions and stops along the way. As you travel through southwestern Uganda, enjoy scenic views of rolling hills, farmland, and vibrant local communities. There will be opportunities for breaks and refreshments en route. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, concluding your memorable adventure filled with wildlife, culture, and stunning landscapes.
