Nairobi to Tsavo West National Park

You will be picked up by your driver in the morning and transferred by road to Tsavo West National Park, a scenic drive of approximately 6 hours. Upon arrival, you will proceed to check in at the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge, known for its unique architecture and excellent views of the surrounding wildlife.

After enjoying a freshly prepared lunch, you will embark on an afternoon game drive in the nearby Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. This privately-owned reserve offers a rich diversity of wildlife and picturesque landscapes. The game drive continues until evening, offering chances to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and a variety of bird species.

After the safari, you will return to the lodge to relax and unwind. Dinner will be served at the lodge, followed by an overnight stay in the comfort of your safari accommodation.

Tsavo West National Park

After an early breakfast, you will depart for a thrilling full-day game drive in Tsavo West National Park, renowned for its dramatic scenery, including rugged hills, ancient lava flows, and expansive savannahs. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, giraffes, and an abundance of bird species. Key highlights include a visit to Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear waters attract hippos and crocodiles, and the Shetani Lava Flow, a vast expanse of solidified volcanic rock.

A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic spot within the park, allowing you to relax while taking in the natural beauty. The game drive continues in the afternoon, maximizing your chances of spotting wildlife in their natural habitat and photography opportunities.

Later, you will return to Salt Lick Safari Lodge for a relaxing evening, delicious dinner, and another overnight stay in the heart of the wilderness.

Tsavo West National Park to Nairobi

After breakfast and check-out from Salt Lick Safari Lodge, you will embark on your road transfer from Tsavo West National Park to Nairobi. The journey offers scenic views of Kenya’s diverse landscapes, including vast savannahs, rolling hills, and rural communities.

Midway through the drive, there will be a scheduled stopover at a reputable restaurant for lunch, providing an opportunity to rest and refresh before continuing. Following the break, you will resume your journey, arriving in Nairobi by late afternoon or early evening.

Upon arrival, you will be safely transferred to your preferred destination, concluding your memorable safari adventure.
