Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park Full Game Drive & Night Safari

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel at 4:00 AM and transfer you to Zanzibar Airport for your 6:00 AM flight. Upon landing at Mtemere Airstrip in Nyerere National Park, you’ll be welcomed by our safari guide, who will give you a brief orientation before your adventure begins. Breakfast will be served around 10:00 AM, followed by continued game drives leading up to lunchtime. Later in the afternoon, you’ll head to your lodge for some rest. At 6:00 PM, prepare for an exciting night game drive, complete with dinner in the park. This unique experience offers a chance to spot nocturnal wildlife such as lions, leopards, genets, civets, porcupines, bush babies, and rabbits.

Village Tour and Sunset Boat Safari

Following breakfast, you'll set off for an engaging cultural village tour, offering a deeper understanding of the local lifestyle and age-old traditions. During this two-hour visit, you'll immerse yourself in the rhythms of village life, observe local schools to witness the education system in action, and experience the vibrant culture firsthand. Afterward, you'll head back to the lodge to enjoy a relaxing and well-earned lunch.

Later in the day, at 4:00 PM, you’ll embark on a stunning sunset boat safari along the scenic Rufiji River. This two-hour journey treats you to spectacular views of hippos rumbling in the water, crocodiles basking on the riverbanks, and a colorful variety of bird species, all bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun. Upon returning to the lodge, you'll be served dinner and settle in for a restful overnight stay.

Full Game Drive and Visit Hotspring

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast before venturing into the vast wilderness of Nyerere National Park. Home to an incredible array of wildlife, you'll have the chance to spot elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, impalas, and even lions.

The park is also renowned for its thriving population of African wild dogs—the largest in Tanzania. Guided by our expert driver-guide, you'll journey to the Beho Beho Chemka hot spring, where warm, crystal-clear waters offer a tranquil, refreshing swim.

Around midday, enjoy a scenic picnic lunch in a safe, serene spot, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the wild. Keep your eyes peeled for animals roaming freely in their natural habitat.

By 5 PM, return to the lodge for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay, recharged for the adventures ahead.

Begin your morning with a guided bush walk alongside a ranger and a local bushman, where you’ll learn about native trees, animal tracks, and the hidden wonders of the wild. After this immersive nature walk, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast.

Next, dive into the rich traditions of the Maasai during a visit to a local village in Nyerere National Park. Surrounded by untouched landscapes, you’ll take part in cultural rituals, enjoy a traditional Maasai meal, and gain a deeper understanding of their eco-conscious way of life. This enriching experience offers a rare window into one of Africa’s most iconic cultures.

After returning to the lodge for lunch, you’ll prepare for your onward journey. At around 3 PM, depart for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon landing, a professional driver will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel of choice on the island.
