1-Day Katavi Day Trip Safari from Zanzibar

06:00 – Zanzibar Airport Check-in
Meet your representative, receive a short briefing, and board a charter flight to Katavi (approx. 3.5–4 hrs). Enjoy scenic views of Lake Tanganyika and western Tanzania.

09:30 – Arrival in Katavi National Park
Land at Ikuu Airstrip and meet your guide to start the morning game drive along Katuma River. Spot buffalo, elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, and hyenas.

Midday – Hippo Pools & Bush Lunch
Visit the hippo pools and enjoy a picnic lunch under acacia trees while watching wildlife.

Afternoon – Lake Chada Area
Explore Lake Chada’s grasslands to see elephants, antelope, predators, and various bird species.

17:30 – Return to Ikuu Airstrip
Drive back to the airstrip for your charter flight.

18:00 – Flight Katavi → Zanzibar
Fly back to Zanzibar, arriving in the evening and transfer to your hotel.
