Day 2

After breakfast, your Kilimanjaro On Foot safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation and drive you to Tarangire National Park, a scenic two-and-a-half-hour journey on well-maintained tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the vital water source for wildlife during the dry season. Renowned for its large elephant herds, Tarangire offers incredible opportunities to witness these majestic animals gathering by the river. Along the way, you may also spot giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and predators such as lions and leopards.

Tarangire boasts the highest diversity of bird species in the world, and its landscape is dotted with ancient baobab trees, some believed to be over a thousand years old. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a designated spot within the park.

After your morning and afternoon game drives, you will continue to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, resting up for more adventures ahead.
