Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara

Have an early-morning pickup from the airport or hotel, then head to our office to meet with members of a small group for the safari. Thereafter, depart for the Masai Mara, stopping at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to see this geological feature, which has its origins in Israel, and later stop in Narok for lunch. Upon arrival in the Masai Mara in the evening, check in, relax and later visit the Maasai village (pay $10 USD directly to the Maasai). Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the campsite.

Day 2

Masai Mara

After breakfast, proceed with a full-day game drive within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for wildlife in Kenya, as it has an extensive road and track network, which allows for close-range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodiles.

Today is not only for full-day game viewing but also for the exciting (optional) hot-air balloon safari. For the balloon safari, you will need to rise at the crack of dawn so that you can be airborne just before sunrise. This magical experience is followed by a champagne breakfast. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the campsite.

Day 3

Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru

Enjoy breakfast at the camp, then check out. This morning can be spent with an optional visit to a Maasai village to learn about the culture and traditions of the Maasai people. Depart for Nakuru with an en-route lunch, enjoying scenic distant views of Mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha. On arrival in the afternoon, check in and relax at the hotel.

After breakfast, you will proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, known for its prolific birdlife, including flamingos. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino. Species like Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. Enjoy a hot lunch and drive to Naivasha. There, you can go on a boat ride on the freshwater lake to see hippos and fish eagles, and visit Crescent Island (at an extra cost). Dinner and overnight are at the hotel.

Day 5

After breakfast, have a nature walk in the Hell’s Gate National Park. You may hire bicycles to cycle only in this area. There are over 100 species of birds in the park, including vultures, Verreaux's eagles, augur buzzards, and swifts. African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboons are also common. The park is also home to klipspringer antelope and Chandler's mountain reedbuck.

The park has attractions like Olkaria and Hobley's, two extinct volcanoes and obsidian formed from cool molten lava. Within Hell's Gate is the Hell's Gate Gorge, lined with red cliffs that contain two volcanic plugs. Later, drive to Amboseli with lunch en route. Amboseli National Park is popularly known for its large herds of elephants and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive in the afternoon, check in and relax at camp.

Day 6

After breakfast at the camp, a true African experience awaits in this park. You will set off early to see the magnificent view of Mount Kilimanjaro and set off for another extensive game drive before the clouds build up over the summit. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a wide variety of wildlife, including wildebeest and giraffe. You will spend the full day in the park with a packed lunch. Later, you will return for dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 7

Later, depart Amboseli Park for Nairobi with a picnic lunch en route. Arriving in Nairobi late afternoon, you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home.
