Day 1
Jinka -Hammer-Turmi

Jjnka/Baco (BCO) - Drive to Turmi (130 km, 2 hours)
Your guide will welcome you at Jinka (Baco) Airport and start a 130 km (2:30 hours) drive to Turmi town where the Hamar tribe resides in nearby villages. If it is a market day (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday), you will visit a tribal market either in Jinka, Kako, Keyafer, Aldubba, or Turmi town. On the way, you will visit the Banna tribe village. You will also visit a small group of Mursi people near Keyafer town where you will see women with a lip plate and body scarification. You may also see the Bull Jumping Ceremony of the Hamar (optional) or the Evangadi Dancing Ceremony (upon availability).

Day 2
Drive Turmi - Karo (Kara) Village - Turmi
Drive Turmi - Karo (Kara) Village - Turmi
Drive 65 km (1 hour) west to visit the Kara (Karo) people who live by the Omo River and experience their culture and lifestyle. The Karo (Kara) tribe is the smallest ethnic group in Omo Valley. They are famous for elaborate body and face paintings. You can get your face or body painted like the Karo way of beautification. You will return to Turmi for lunch, you may attend a tribal market on a market day (Monday, Thursday, and Saturday). In the late afternoon, you will visit the local village of the Hamar tribe. You may also see the Bull Jumping Ceremony of the Hamar (upon availability) or the Evangadi Dancing Ceremony (if available).

Day 3

After breakfast, depart around 8:30 am on a 72 km (1 hour) drive to Omo Rate town to genuinely experience the culture and way of life of the Dassanech tribe. It is the last town near the Kenyan border, you will go to the immigration post before heading to the Dassanech village. You will cross the Omo River by a dugout canoe and walk for about 10 minutes to get to the village. Return to Turmi for lunch, you may attend a tribal market on a market day (Monday, Thursday, and Saturday). You may also see the Bull Jumping Ceremony (upon availability).

Day 4
Drive Turmi-Konso
Drive Turmi-Konso
After breakfast, embark on a 200 km drive to Konso, stopping to visit the Arbore tribe, an agricultural and pastoral community situated in the desert area near Lake Stephanie, who speak a Cushitic language. The journey continues to Konso, renowned for its remarkable terracing skills, where ancient villages over 1,000 years old and the surrounding terraced landscape are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Konso people are also known for their distinctive wooden statues, or totems called “waka,” which honor heroes and chiefs. Overnight accommodations will be at Kanta Lodge in Konso.

Day 5
Drive Konso – Arba Minch
Drive Konso – Arba Minch
On this day, you will continue on a 90 km 2-hour drive to Arba Minch. Embark on a boat trip on the lake to see crocodiles and hippos on the so-called crocodile market, and finally you will go to Arba Minch.
