At Maasai Mara we were able to see the Big Five in their natural setting-- we saw new life as an antelope gave birth in our presence, we saw a lion eating a wilderbeest, we witnessed the crossing at the Mara river. The weather was very nice hence we were able to do the game drive without problems. We used the Sopa lodge which was very clean with good food and evening entertainment by the local Masai who did a traditional dance. We also visited a Masai village and learned about their way of live. Our Tour guide, George of CKC Tours acted as an excellent tour guide who made us to appreciate what Masai Mara had to offer. In Mount Kenya we slept at the Serena Mountain lodge which is very beautiful and you could watch the animals from the balcony of your room as they lick salt and drink water. In Lake Nakuru we saw many animals but the most outstanding feature were the Flamingoes-- beautiful birds

The hotel Savana the best, is a very good option because you are inside of the reserve. The wildlife is espectacular, very good plan to do at least one time in your life.

First Stop on our Safari and we saw it all!

The Masai Mara reserve was the very first park we went to on our two week safari and it was more than we could have imagined! Although we were prepared to have to be patient and pace our sightings throughout the trip. We saw 4 of the big 5 animals on our first game drive! Whether it was an early morning, evening, or day time drive, we continued seeing amazing animals including: giraffes, wildebeest, gazelles, zebras, lions, and even baby leopards. The views were everything we wanted and to top it off, we visited with the Masai tribe. This was a once in a lifetime experience.

Absolutely Loved this Divine Tent Camp! The Weather was Perfect in the 80's during the day & 60's in the evening. Our Tent was Beautiful so much so that I Now want One exactly like the one we stayed in, The Staff Greeted Us & Helped us Learn some of the Native Language & Shared with Us a Few Things~ Ester the Massage Therapist, So Nice, Steven the Bartender Very Sweet & Made "my" Version of Iced Tea for Me Every Day, Edward Our Dining Waiter was very Thoughtful & Friendly & Joseph Our Game Driver had Incredible Knowledge in regards to Wildlife\Birds, & had a Great Sense of Humor. A Superb Time Here with Lots of Exciting Moments. I Helped Save a Pumba from Drowning in the Infinite Pool that Over Looks the Masai Mara & Later that Same Night was 6 inches away from a Python that I spotted too. They Titled Me" The Pumba Savior" haha Sitting on Our Back Porch Sipping on Tea watching Monkeys Play in the Trees was so Cool. Game Drives
Read more w\ Joseph were Incredibly Amazing & How Close we were to the Wild Animals~ ( Only see this on Nat Geo) & We had the Pleasure of Experiencing this right in front of Our Eyes! The Food was So Tasty, Fresh & Delicious. Sundowners & Hot Air Balloon Ride was a Special Treat. We Felt very Honored by How Well We were Taken Care of! We Loved this Place & the People so Much, We are Already planning Our Next Trip Back. We HIGHLY Recommend! :)

I have wanted to go to Mara forever and my dream came true last year. And it blew my mind - the wildlife, the landscape and the general feeling of being in the wilderness; in the midst of such incredible beauty. I cant put that feeling in words, all I now want to do is go back and feel that wind in my hair and take photos of every possible inch! The experience of a lifetime, an absolute must do. We weren't sure exactly what to expect on our safari, but we were absolutely blown away by Maasai Mara. The amount, and diversity, of animals we saw was unbelievable. We saw every animal we could have imagined, plus so many more. Even the elusive black rhino! Our guides and accommodations from at Porini Lion camp far exceeded our expectations. The Maasai know the land and the animals so well - and we were able to get up so close to the animals we saw. Do not hesitate to visit Kenya if you're looking for an incredible safari experience!

My safari to the Masai Mara was the best ever for wildlife viewing and photography.

I have been to Africa several times, and my trip to the Masai Mara National Reserve in January was the best safari I have ever been on. I loved the fact that there were less tourists than during the months of September and October when I went there before, and the reserve abounded with youngsters of all kinds of animals. The weather was very good with little rain and typical for the season. I stayed at the Mara Intrepids, and the staff and tented rooms were marvelous and the food exceeded my expectations. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and very, very helpful. One of the highlights of the trip was seeing Malaika, a female cheetah climb on to the top of a jeep, which I learned was a normal thing for her to do. All in all, I would visit there again in a heartbeat.
