Great communication and safety
People say an African Safari is a once in a lifetime experience, but I feel I can’t wait to go back with my kids and grandkids.The communication with Tellena Tours was excellent from the beginning of planning until the day we left. I dealt with Victor and he was always available and showed up whenever we were in Nairobi to make sure everything was going as planned. Our tour guide, Dickson, made the safari complete as he made sure we saw the Big 5 and his ability to see hidden animals was amazing.My wife and i felt extremely safe with Dickson as well as enjoying his personality.
A few suggestions/changes I would give is to arrange air travel between the different national parks as traffic is unpredictable and we lost most of one of our days there driving to another park (we had planned for 4-5 hours and it took over 8). Flights are an adventure themselves and being in a Land Cruiser for an extended period an become uncomfortable, Also make sure to confirm the Land Cruiser is a newer model with taller windows (ours was dated and I was constantly bending to see outside). We did the hot air balloon in Masai Mara and it was amazing (the landing can be a little rough so be prepared). Also, if air conditioning is important to you, make sure and request it where available (i don’t believe most hotels inside the parks have it as the nights are traditionally cool). One last thing, let them know if you plan to bring large luggage so they can arrange a larger vehicle.

This was an incredibly unforgettable and wonderful journey. I booked the 5 days and 4 nights itinerary, which was very full but well-organized. I want to thank the travel agency Victor for his consistently prompt replies, and the tour guide for his hard work and excellent commentary. Regarding the price, I compared quotes from many different agencies, and this one offered the best value for money. Moreover, the itinerary was very reasonable and comfortable. The hotels arranged were also outstanding, allowing us to fully enjoy delicious food and get proper rest. I highly recommend this travel agency! Thank you again to all the staff for your hard work, and I hope you continue to thrive and do even better!

We had the best tour guides and the best time with Tellena Tours and Safaris. Every tour was on time and everyone was so helpful! We learned a great deal about the Kenyan culture and animals. I cannot wait to come back with my husband and children. I highly recommend this tour company!
