Smooth and very well organised
We were travelling to Nairobi and the Masai Mara as a group of five people. Two of us had some previous experience with East African safaris, while for the rest of the group it was their first time in Africa. Since I personally have experience both working and travelling across the continent, I had some reservations regarding the services - you always have to keep in mind that something might go wrong or at least not go according to plan. This time, however, it was a completely different experience. The Axis Safaris team was accessible and well organised, and everything went according to plan, on time, and as agreed. They provided us with excellent accommodation partners, including a last-minute upgrade to a better location in the Masai Mara. Our tour guide, Kevin, was outstanding. It’s clear that he is a true professional who genuinely loves his work and nature. Lucy from Axis Safaris is also a true professional, and I will definitely recommend them to our friends who are planning to visit Kenya. The cherry on top was that we managed to spot the Big Five in the Masai Mara, which made it an unforgettable first-time experience for all of us. Truly great memories and an excellent experience for a lifetime.

Great Safari experience
We had a wonderful experience of Safari in Masai Mara with Axis.
We did a 3 days private safari and entered 2 days in the park. We were a couple with 2 kids and our guide Nelson Seratoi was both thoughtful and attentive with them.
We saw all the big 5 thanks to our wonderful guide that didn't quite until the kids complete their list of animals plus a few extras we didn't expect like cheetah, serval cat, chackal (and the list goes on and on)
Car (jeep) was great and clean, we could charge our phones in the car and that handy and water was provided.
It was my 6th safari and the best until today. We were very lucky
The staff from the office was also nice.

I really enjoyed the safari organised by Axis. Our driver, Tribon, was very knowledgeable and also good fun! He went the extra mile for me ensuring I arrived safely at my new apartment after the safari which I was so grateful for as I was very tired!
Tabitha was an excellent sales rep, she answered all my questions promptly and patiently, it was her pro-activeness that led my to choose this company over others.
My only niggle was that I had specific dietary requirements that were not passed on to the lodge or restaurant. In the case of the lodge, Sankale camp , they were excellent and really accommodated me well. Hint - if you stay budget bring plenty of mosquito repellent, I used citronella incense sticks in the bathroom which worked great!
We saw lots of beautiful animals and enjoyed the scenery immensely. I chose not to take the nature walk along the banks of the Masai river as it was just too hot at 2 pm for me :) maybe take an umbrella for shade .
The visit to the Masai was interesting. Thank you Axis for a great trip!

Great experience! The guide was exceptional, a great animal explorer, and respectful.
We really enjoyed the whole experience: the lodges, the pleasant transfer, and the excellent communication. The guide was a key part of the experience and very knowledgeable.

Excellent from start to finish
We just got back from an amazing safari, first safari for us, but surely one of the most memorable journeys. We are very glad to have found Axis Africa Safaris as everything was perfect from the very beginning. Jackline was very helpful with organizing the trip – we got several options to choose from in terms of the hotels and had no issues whatsoever with anything. I can actually say that the travel direction starting with Amboseli, then Naivasha, Nakuru and lastly Maasai Mara is the one I would highly recommend to everyone.
But, of course, the man we could not make a memorable journey without, was our guide and driver and a friend Yasin. We saw not only the Big Five or Big Nine but basically every animal available from great angles and in large amounts. In one week we saw three lion hunts, a lion and leopard together in one tree, herds of giraffes and elephants, plenty of rhinos, hippos and several cheetahs. While one can argue this is due to pure luck, Yasin knew the behavioral patterns of the animals, such as the movement trajectories, which allowed us to get the best angles for the photos. In addition, we were interested in local birds, and, when told, Yasin did his best in showing a lot of different species – we even had a special “hunt” for the Secretary bird and surely managed to find some.
