Incredible safari with a great guide, once in a lifetime experience!
We went on a 9 day safari and it was amazing. The most important thing when going on safari is your guide, and our guide from Rover safaris was fantastic! Joachim knew everything about Tanzania and taught us so much about all animals we saw. He is a safe driver and we felt very comfortable with him in the safari jeep. He speaks English fluently and was very kind and patient. He always made sure we had the best spot to watch the animals, we spotted over 130 bird species and all big 5 animals! Joachim had a great eye for spotting animals we wouldn’t have seen without him ;) We would highly recommend booking with Rover safaris to family & friends and anyone reading this who wants to have a great safari with the best guide who really loves nature.

Rover Safari is so professional! They arranged every part smoothly, and I didn’t need to worry about anything. The hotels, meals, communication and service were all excellent—I really have wonderful memories of Tanzania：-）
By the way, what impressed me most was our guide. He knew all the different animals we encountered along the way and shared so many interesting stories about them. I’ve already recommended Rover Safaris to my friends, and I hope they keep getting better and better!

Our recent safari in Tanzania with rover Safari was nothing short of spectacular. From start to finish, every detail was meticulously planned and executed.
We were incredibly fortunate to have our guide. He was the heart of our amazing experience. He was a true gentleman—always professional, patient, courteous, and knowledgeable. His dedication was evident from the very beginning; he was utterly committed and professional, driving for hours and tracking animals with an expert's eye to ensure we saw the Big Five and so much more.
His experience and expertise were unparalleled. He seemed to have an innate sense of where to find the animals, taking us off the beaten path to witness breathtaking scenes—from a leopard resting in a tree to a herd of elephants crossing the river at sunset. The landscapes he showed us were absolutely stunning, and he always knew the perfect spot for a photo.
Ah, the photos! He was also a fantastic photographer! He knew all the best angles for both wildlife and group shots, often using his own binoculars or spotting scope to help us get the perfect shot through our cameras. We came home with incredible memories, beautifully captured, thanks to him.
We cannot recommend Rover Safari, and especially our guide , highly enough. If you want a seamless, educational, and profoundly memorable safari with a guide who genuinely cares about your experience, look no further. Thank you for the trip of a lifetime!

Joachim was our driver on a 10 day / 9 night northern circuit safari in Tanzania in early March, covering Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater, Ndutu and the Serengeti . From the moment we were picked up at JRO airport, we were at ease.
Joachim was extremely knowledgeable about the animals and their habits, including all the different types of birds that we saw. Somehow he was able to navigate the entire time without a map. He was also incredibly respectful to the rules of the parks and also the animals in general, which was in stark contrast to some of the other guides/jeeps that we saw. He was also extremely professional as a driver, never going too fast and always prioritizing our comfort.
Most importantly, he is a great human being, and we were very luck to have him as our guide on a once-in-a-lifetime trip. Highly recommend requesting Joachim as your guide if book with this operator!
