Fabulous and amazing arrangement

I joined the safari tour with my daughter, and it was an awesome experience! Even with a last-minute flight cancellation, the travel agency and tour guide took great care of me as an elderly person. They changed the itinerary to fit what we liked in different places. The guide was so kind – he even suggested the best spots for taking pictures. Thank you so much!

Big thanks to Tellena tour and safari for making our trip wonderful even with problems!

A sudden flight cancellation on the departure date made us so panic. With swift and helpful response from Mercy and Victor, an alternative itinerary for our safari trip was agreed within an hour.

Even though the replacement flight made us miss connection and one day of itinerary, you guys were fast to switch us from the original planned group tour to a private safari tour and fair price.

What's more, Mercy continued to help track our delayed bag until the last day and stayed with us in the Nairobi international airport and guided us what to do at airport to get the bag back.
The tour guide, Philip, was amazing – very tender, professional, and extra caring because my elderly mama were with me. He looked after us so well in the entire journey and introduced different facets of Kenya. thank you very much! Highly recommend🫶🏻

Company is female owned and operated but subcontracts driver/guides. Good budget safari. Our guide Steve really made the trip for us, allowing us to customize on the fly. If you are doing a private tour, I highly recommend including a full day at BOTH Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. As long as a GUARANTEED view of Kilimanjaro ( and it’s never guaranteed) is not on your list, one full day at Amboseli is enough. We arrived late in the day and tried to do a game drive starting at like 3 or 4. We didn’t see much on that drive but hot dust and the animals must have felt the same way because we didn’t see many. Would have been better to spend longer at Lake Naivasha then arrive Amboseli in evening for late dinner, skipping that first drive. Getting up early the next day, we were richly rewarded with views of Kilimanjaro and wildlife galore (although still super dusty). Amboseli was last on our itinerary and the drive from there to Nairobi airport was long but easy. Be prepared for a lot of red tape checkpoints at airport on departure. Finally I would say double check your safari contract before making final payment as things we thought were initially included (like drinks, other than water) were not. The operator was good about absorbing some price increases that occurred after we made final payment although we were quite surprised that this final payment was expected to be in cash not credit card. We negotiated the use of a credit card if we paid the extra card processing fee. It was just a surprise we were not expecting as were in transit as part of a multi national tour.

Mercy, Victor and the team at Tellena tours made our trip to Kenya an unforgettable experience.

Their friendliness,and organisation of our itinerary, made our holiday so enjoyable. Our driver, Milton, was so knowledgeable and going on safari with him was a pleasure.

The accomodation was top quality.

I would recommend doing as many extra activities as possible. Visit the Giraffe Centre, National Museum and Elephant orphanage in Nairobi, take the sunrise balloon ride at the Masai Mara, do a night safari and go snorkelling at Wasani reef.

Thank you Tellena tours, our memories of Kenya and it's people will last forever.

Tellena is fantastic. We booked our 10 day safari + beach resort a bit late. They were able to accommodate us withour an issue. We also had dietary restrictions which they were considerate of, ensuring each camp or hotel we visited were aware of them.

We had Kelvin and Daniel as guides. They were experts in finding animals and telling us about them as well as the areas we visited. The vehicles we rode in were Land Cruisers with roofs that opened so we could see out of them. Each vehicle fit up to 8 passengers, so we got to meet some other people from all over the world.

Transportation was always handled, whether it was by our safari guide, hired driver, or first class train ticket. They were very responsive on WhatsApp as well.

I felt safe and well taken care of the entire time and had an incredible time!
