Intimate experience
I spent 2 days with our driver William. Absolutely amazing 2 days safari. We saw 4 of the big 5 and many other animals. William is very patient and kind. people say he doesn’t talk much but he actually does if you chat we had nice chats.
From the pick up to the hotel in dar es salaam to the safari it was all good we saved some time by taking the express train saved us from 6 hours drive .
Everything was handled by Donatus very easy to contact on WhatsApp he handles all the logistics.
This operator is the best regarding price at first I hesitated to book with them because it was not that expensive.
Some competitors asked double price for the exact same experience and camp
So I’m Happy to promote Selous that type of honest company and the service was perfect
Everything is excellent
We did a 2-day safari in Mikumi Park. Our driver was Rajab and he was a delight. He tried in every way to make sure we saw as many animals as possible and the ones we liked the most. He definitely exceeded our expectations. He was also lovely to us.
The hotel we stayed in next to the park was great and the staff was wonderful.
All the staff at the safari were very attentive to us, picking us up and taking us to all the places in the car so we could enjoy the safari in the best way.
I would definitely do it again and I recommend it 100%.

Amazing
We stayed 3 days, the houses are wonderful, in the morning you wake up with monkeys right outside the house. The organization of the days was excellent, the food from breakfast to dinner is really good.
We really thank everyone, thanks to all the staff, thanks to our guide Apollo.
You are perfect!
Great tour for low budget travelers
We were picked up at our hotel (Protea Marriott Courtyard - highly recommended!) early in the morning by our guide, William, and made our way to Mikumi in time for a good lunch and a great afternoon tour of the park. William was very accommodating and answered our endless questions without hesitation and with great knowledge. He knew the animals and their habits well, including the ages of baby hippos and elephants, one of which he watched being birthed. He is a capable and careful driver on the busy paved roads leading to the park, as well as the dirt tracks in the park.
We were offered the opportunity to change our accommodations and opted to stay in the park to allow for late sunset and early sunrise drives. This allowed us to see the last of a group of lions finishing the remains of a night-time zebra kill before joining her group under a tree, satiated and exhausted. We were all amazed that these powerful beasts were unfazed by our vehicles as we watched. The park rangers carefully managed the observation. The only down side was the hoped-for air conditioned rooms were already filled by the time we arrived at the park, so we stayed in a lodge with fans and screens instead. But the staff were very attentive, and the breakfast was great, catering to the tastes of international visitors.
Amazing experience
The 3-Day 2-Night Mikumi and Udzungwa trekking was a great experience I would recommend to anyone to book.
We were picked up in the morning of the first day by our excellent driver/guide William, and drove to Mikumi national park. We had time to go on a short game drive in the evening. We opted to sleep inside the park on the first night so we could get extra time in on the second day for the game drive. No complaints on the rooms in the park, they were more than adequate for what we needed and the food was great.
On the second day we went on the second game drive, where William worked hard to ensure we saw all the animals we wanted to see. In the afternoon, we went to Camp Bastian to rest before the trek the next day. The camping option was ok, but at the time of year we went it was particularly hot at night which can make sleeping difficult. The food here was also excellent and there's a pool.
On the final day, we set off early for the trek in Udzungwa to the Sanje Waterfall. It's not too strenuous, and a beautiful sight. Be sure to pack a swimming costume and towel so you can swim here! There are changing rooms available at the waterfall.
The only thing I think could be improved is the communication with pick up time, as we had been given a different time to the driver which caused some confusion.
I'd like to thank William again for making the trip extra special, he really does go above and beyond to make it one to remember!
