Tanzanian wilderness loop with our clan
5/5

Booking a 4-day wilderness expedition across Lake Manyara and the Serengeti highlands with children felt daunting, yet the whole journey unfolded smoothly. Our six-member squad shared an extended vehicle driven by Jeremy, whose tracking skills led us straight into sight of resting cheetahs, towering giraffes, and hippos cooling off near marshlands. Having built-in power sockets preserved our devices, while the onboard cooler provided refreshing beverages during warm afternoons. Lodging selections offered delicious dinners and peaceful rest throughout our stay. Excellent coordination altogether!

Solo 3-day trek — Jeremy made the bush feel like home
5/5

Did a quick 3-day solo run through Tarangire and Ngorongoro. As a solo traveler, safety and good company matter most, and Jeremy was spot-on. He pointed out hidden lions, rhinos, and massive elephant herds while giving me all the space I needed to take photos. Smooth setup from start to finish!

Quick 3-day loop with 7 of us — Jeremy was brilliant.
5/5

Travelled through Tarangire and the Ngorongoro highlands with a family crew of seven. With three generations in one vehicle, things could have easily felt crammed, but the extended land cruiser gave everyone proper legroom and window access. Jeremy kept the momentum steady without rushing us through animal sightings. We ended up catching massive elephant pods beneath the baobabs and spotted two black rhinos along the crater floor. Clear communication from Suricata Safaris from day one. Highly worth it.

Inside a documentary - A DREAM!
5/5

I did a 5 days safari (middle range).
Our driver GERARD was EXCELLENT!
We spent all the days together and he drove us everywhere and make sure we could see all the animals. He was replying to all our questions and always make sure everyone was ok with photos and videos before leaving.
The accomaditons were really cool except for the 1st and last night in Arusha where I would have expect a better accommodation.
I didn’t like the idea of paying 5% surcharge when doing the 80% payment at the arrival because bringing all those cash is not easy.

Gerard was an excellent guide and driver who made our Suricata Safari an unforgettable experience.
4/5

Our safari with Suricata Safari was made truly exceptional by our guide and driver, Gerard. He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and had an incredible ability to spot wildlife that we would never have seen on our own. He always made us feel safe, answered every question with enthusiasm, and ensured we had the best possible experience throughout the trip. Gerard is a real asset to the company, and I would highly recommend requesting him if you book a safari.

That said, there were two aspects of the overall experience that were disappointing. First, the company applies a 5% surcharge for card payments, which was not clearly communicated upfront and felt like an unnecessary hidden cost. Greater transparency about payment fees would improve the customer experience.

Second, the pre-safari stay at SG Hotels in Arusha did not meet the standard we expected. The hotel felt dated, and the rooms and overall hospitality environment were old and uncomfortable. Given the otherwise premium safari experience, choosing a better partner hotel would make a significant difference.

Another drawback was that the company mixed mid-range and camping guests in the same safari vehicle, resulting in unnecessary delays and logistical inefficiencies at nearly every stop as different accommodation drop-offs and pick-ups had to be coordinated. This seemed like an issue with other company vehicles and needs to be corrected!

Overall, the safari itself was fantastic thanks to Gerard, but improving payment transparency and upgrading the accommodation in Arusha would make the experience even better.
