The tour was amazing from start to finish! They communicated everything before we even had to ask, which was greatly appreciated. Donald, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the animals and was excellent at spotting them - we were lucky he spotted a Leopard in a tree on our last day, and we were also fortunate to see a cheetah! He was great at pointing out and explaining the different animals we saw and was all around very friendly and personable as well. Donald was also a great cook, which was an added bonus!! And they were great about my sister’s dairy allergy ( they checked with us about allergies before). We absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking to have an amazing experience visiting Kruger!!

Our Safari tour with Kalanga was overall an excellent experience. Like any 4-5 day tour some aspects didn’t go quite as planned but the staff at Kalanga were very quick to respond. They tailored the tour slightly to suit our needs and accommodated us when we made special requests. The tour guide spoke with excellent English and was very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend them.

Shoes was an incredible safari guide! His love for the land and the animals was apparent in his actions and his words. I would explain my experience on safari as a spiritual one.

Shoes also has such a wonderful teaching ability, teaching us about the animals, the land, and it’s history. He has a gentle soul that exudes positivity.

Additionally he’s an amazing cook. You will absolutely not be disappointed by booking with shoes. You will know your money will go towards conservation and preservation of the land, and you will have a once in a lifetime experience.

My friend and I booked a 5 day safari with Khalanga and were absolutely BLOWN away!! Shoes was our guide, and from the very first contact we were so impressed with his professionalism. He helped coordinate our private safari via email, he was very quick to reply and so helpful coordinating and planning a safari exactly to our meet our requests/desires. When we arrived and started the tour with Shoes we quickly realized that there was no one better than Shoes!! He was so very passionate about the beautiful park and animals, he taught us so much about the flora and fauna and shared with us his knowledge, expertise and passion for conservation. We were so grateful to learn about his ancestral land and the Khalanga peoples. Shoes is such a lovely and joyous personality! He is also an incredible cook!! This trip was truly the best vacation of our lives - it was so much better than our wildest dreams. I recommend Khalanga safaris and Shoes 100%!!!! Book with this company, you will not be disappointed!

Amazing Adventures with Khalanga

Wow! What an amazing adventure we had with Shoes from Khalanga Safaris in Kruger National Park. During our 5 days we saw all big 5 along with so many other interesting animals. Shoes was an excellent guide- he could spot animals that we never would have noticed- big animals at a distance, a snout poking out of the water, an owl hiding in the shadows, a chameleon crossing the road. He also knew EVERYONE and got tips that helped us find snoozing lions, rare birds nibbling in the grass, a leopard munching on an impala in a tree and more! He was interesting to talk with and shared his extensive knowledge with us about all that we were seeing. He cooked us delicious meals and his hospitality helped us enjoy all the moments of our experience. Thank you so much for your guidance and for sharing this time with us. HIGHLY recommended!
