Perfect in all aspects.
The tour was excellent- I cannot say enough good things about Nature Travel Namibia. NTN planned an excellent customized itinerary for me that took me throughout Namibia as well as to Cape Town, So Africa. I had such a memorable time due to NTN’s excellent service and personalized attention given me all along the way. And in planning, NTN always responded to my questions promptly.I really appreciate all Pepi and her team did and thank them for their patience and making this trip happen so seamlessly and without a glitch. A sightseeing flight in Swakopmund over the desert was a special highlight, as were all the wildlife and birds I got to see throughout. My guide, Falco, was also a big plus as he was exceptionally knowledgeable in all facets of Namibian culture, history and geography, as well as having a keen eye for spotting animals, birds, and native fauna along the way, of which there were many. It would be difficult to say that any point of my itinerary was less special than the other- They all exceeded my expectations.
I highly recommend Nature Travel Namibia for anyone seeking a first class adventure to a lovely country,

Fantastic tour of Namibia, Botswana, Victoria Falls
16 Day, Namibia, Botswana, and Victoria Falls.
Our trip with Nature Travel Namibia was truly amazing. Kudos to our coordinator Nadine for the great communication and organization of everything. All of the lodges and camps were lovely, with modern facilities, comfy beds and great food.
Our guide Delano exceeded any expectations we had about spending over 10 days with a guide on a private tour. He took care of everything, made sure we were comfortable, and did a great job of showing us his beautiful country. We had some concerns that being in a car for days (and having most of our meals) with a stranger could be weird, but in no time we felt like old friends.
Delano’s ability to spot wildlife while driving was amazing. We saw so much wildlife, particularly in Etosha National Park and Chobe National Park. Lots of elephants, zebra, impala, giraffe, springbok, wildebeest, and hippos. Also oryx, kudu, lions, cheetah, hyena, rhino, jackals, so many birds, and some other animals we’re probably forgetting.
The unexpected gem of the trip was the Living Desert tour in Swakopmund. The guide Shantelle took us into the desert in Dorob National Park where she showed us geckos, lizards, snakes, and birds. A true reptile and bird ‘whisperer’, she has an amazing ability to find these little creatures.
We were there from 23 May 23 – 6 June, 2025. The weather was great. Cool in the morning (55 Farenheit) and comfortably warm during the day. Of course it’s generally really sunny, so don’t forget your hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen!

Nature Travel Namibia was very responsive during the planning process and we loved Buzzy our guide
This wasn’t our first trip to Africa, where we lived and worked there most of our adult lives, but never made it to Namibia or Botswana. So, we looked for help from a local agency and Nature Travel has great reviews. Note that this review has not much new to add but can confirm that Petra is very patient and responsive. She helped us to put the Namibia and Botswana trips together within our time and budget restrictions. Between the 2 countries we arranged our own flights (with mileage points) to Zimbabwe to visit the Victoria Falls.
Our Namibia experience was mostly limited to “National parks” which have their own rules and restrictions, which means no roaming of the roads to get closer to animals or other points of interests. In Botswana we chose private camps which allowed us to see some wildlife, including the wild dogs, cheetah and leopard, very close-up.
Whereas the “big five” are a hit or, for some, a must on a trip to Africa, we also enjoy the small stuff or the tall stuff, such as the giraffe. Buzzy, our driver and guide in Namibia, knows his small stuff and we saw more birds than I ever will be able to memorize the names of. During one afternoon drive (between Swakopmund and Solitaire) he made a sudden stop and U-turn to pick up, and show us, a chameleon he had spotted on the side of the road while driving 80 km/hour. Minutes later he did the same for a very deathly scorpion. He identified both by their first and last names (or rather their Latin names😉). This is just to say that with Buzzy there was never a dull moment.
We had made our own arrangements getting to Windhoek and Victoria Falls. All other transfers, made by Petra, went very smoothly. We especially enjoyed the Botswana small Cessna flights. In Botswana we also enjoyed some “drives” by boat, some the size of a large kayak.

Penguins in the Suburbs of Cape Town & Namibia's Extraordinary "Green Season"
Penguins in the Suburbs of Cape Town & Namibia’s Extraordinary “Green Season”
I recently returned from a visit to Africa, traveling with 5 friends and under the guidance of “Nature Travel Africa”. Our journey started in Cape Town, South Africa for several days to recover from our travels. We viewed the African Penguins which are conveniently located in the suburbs of Cape Town, a beautiful drive to the Cape of Good Hope, and no tour of the area would be complete without a stop at a local winery.
The next part of the journey took us to Namibia, a mostly desert country which had record rain fall this year. The grass was tall and the animals were on the move enjoying the fresh grass and water. This translated into many encounters with the local wildlife. Most memorable was viewing a herd of Zebra’s numbering in the hundreds, arriving to drink in the fresh rain water, a Leopard crossing the road in front of our vehicle, and night viewing of Black Rhinos, Elephants and Lions at the watering hole by our accommodations inside Etosha Park. But we did much more than just game viewing. We walked the red sand dunes of Sossusvlei, took a scenic flight over the ship wrecks of the Skeleton Coast, kayaked with hundreds of seals in Walvis Bay, hiked to ancient rock art in Twyfelfontein, toured the ‘Living Desert” finding life even in the desert sands, and tracking Leopards in a wildlife reserve.
This incredible journey was possible due to the travel team at “Nature Travel Africa”. All of our transfers were on time and efficient, accommodations impeccable, and tours seamless. A special thanks to Nicolette Muller and Nick Buys for answering our many questions in timely communications, and making numerous requested changes to our itinerary. Our guides Geoff in Cape Town, Nick, and Delano in Namibia had in depth knowledge of the area, animal behavior, and great interpersonal skills, being in tune with their clients needs and wants.
Africa is a beautiful and diverse continent with so much to experience. Therefore, I have visited many times and at the end of each trip I start planning my next sojourn to Africa’s many wonders with “Nature Travel Africa”.

Best operator to book your honeymoon safari with!
Our wedding was in September and we asked well travelled friends where they suggested us to go and they unanimously said to go to Namibia. I found Nature Travel Namibia (NTN) online and out of all the operators I reached out to, NTN was the most engaged, prompt, professional and tailored operator. After reading a lot of guides, I had some ideas on what I wanted us to see and do and my husband wanted to leave from Victoria Falls. We did a 3 week tour mostly in Namibia with the end of the trip in Botswana and Zimbabwe. We self-drove across Namibia and had the most magical experience, starting the trip with sceneries (canyons, desert, sea) and finishing our Namibia and Botswana experience with Safaris. We love Petra, who organized the whole trip for us, she picked the best hotels - some of the most beautiful and surprising places we could only dream of and didn’t know existed. We had some of the best food in Namibia. We loved the calm and relaxing end of the trip in Botswana. We wouldn’t return to Zimbabwe- the falls were beautiful but it was enough to be there for 1 night before returning to our home country. We would definitely return to Namibia and Botswana, and would chose NTN again as operator in a heartbeat. We have to say that Hoodia Lodge was maybe the highlight of our trip - even if we stayed in many magical places, the staff and owners were just fantastic. Do book different types of safaris: boat, drive, morning, evening as the animals you can see and the experiences are so unique. We love the hot air balloon tour over the desert, seeing wild animals running down below. The peace and quiet of the desert and nature was fantastic, it was a shock going to a town after getting used to living with the rising and setting of the sun. Since the honeymoon we have grown our family and cannot wait for our kids to be old enough to take them on a safari, shame we will have to wait a while before going back. If you have any doubts on who to chose for a safari honeymoon or luxury holiday, I cannot recommend Petra and NTN more.
