Shabani is the BEST guide EVER

I had an incredible private, custom safari experience for my 40th birthday, booked through Gosheni. I went with my cousin, and we were really happy with the hotels and camps we stayed at — each one was beautiful and the service was excellent throughout.

The absolute highlight of the trip was our driver and guide, Shabani (who also goes by Simba). He completely made the experience. Not only was he fun, personable, and kind, but he was also incredibly accommodating. His positive energy was contagious, and it was clear that he was respected by other guides too. He went out of his way to make sure I saw every animal I had on my birthday wish list, and his diligence paid off — we saw so much wildlife.

Every day we found ourselves saying how grateful we were to have chosen Gosheni, and more specifically, to have been matched with Shabani. From the moment we met him, he elevated the whole experience and made it feel extra special.

The food at most camps was really good. The Four Seasons was stunning, as expected, and they added some thoughtful touches for my birthday that I really appreciated. At Ngorongoro Lodge, the spa staff went above and beyond — my cousin was even able to get a massage after hours because they genuinely wanted to make us happy.

Also, the lunches we were served during the game drives were consistently delicious. We noticed other groups had very simple boxed lunches with sandwiches and fruit, but ours were full meals. That might have been part of booking the luxury package, but either way, we appreciated the quality and attention to detail.

Overall, this was one of the most memorable trips I’ve ever taken. I can’t recommend it enough, and if you can, ask for Shabani. He made it magical.

Amazing

After researching multiple tour companies, we booked our Kenya Tanzania trip with Gosheni. Our trip itinerary was created by Marlene who did a great job of booking great lodges and hotels. What made our experience incredible was our Tanzanian guide Ombeni. He is extremely friendly, polite and was good with our kids. He drove safely and showed us the big 5 and many more. I highly recommend Gosheni and ask for Ombeni for a incredible experience

Best safari tour with Michael

My safari adventure in Tanzania was absolutely incredible, thanks to our amazing guide, Michael! His deep knowledge of wildlife and the local ecosystem made every moment special. We witnessed the breathtaking Great Migration in Ngorongoro and explored the stunning Ngorongoro Crater—each experience was more awe-inspiring than the last.

Michael’s professionalism, friendly personality, and keen eye for spotting animals truly enhanced the trip. He also shared fascinating insights about Maasai culture and Tanzania’s conservation efforts.
