Sekanka Safaris founded in 2014 is a citizen-owned mobile safari company originating and based in Maun, Botswana_ within the fimbriae of the unique world-renowned Okavango Delta. The founding team members were born and raised in Maun and Kasane and growing up they knew no other source of employment other than the widespread bush camps, lodges and mobile safaris. After more than 25 years of garnering experience in this industry, it is our pleasure to show you our HOME with great authenticity!

One of the best experiences of my life
I travelled with my mother and we had such a fabulous time! We had an 8-day safari from Okawango Delta through Chobe national park to Victoria Falls. We did camping options so we spent 5 nights camping in the bushes - 2 nights in Moremi, 2 nights in Khwai and 1 night in Savuti. I must admit, that I was really nervous at first for sleeping in the tent, but in the end I am extremely happy we did it. The tents had comfortable camping beds and the camp crew was amazing! Mompati was super nice and helpful, and our own master chef Creature cooked amazing meals for us.
Monika was such a professional and knowledgeable guide. He taught us a lot about the wild life and he knew his way around the national parks like it was his own backyard. He seemed to have a sixth sense when it came to finding the animals - we saw so many! Lions, cheetah, giraffe, elephants, zebra, wild dogs and many more. Leopards seemed to be hiding well from us, but we did eventually manage to see one of those too!
Sekanka's local partners in Zimbabwe were extremely friendly and professional too, and The Shearwater Explorer Village was a great place to stay after all the camping. Victoria Falls was definitely worth the visit and the sunset cruise in Zambezi river was a cherry on top of the already great experience.
Everything went great from the start, when I first contacted the office to the final ride to the airport. Even though there were some unexpected challenges during the trip (like a flat tire etc.), they were handled really well and professionally. I literally have nothing bad to say about this trip. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and I will be recommending Botswana and Sekanka Travels to anyone thinking about doing a safari in southern Africa.

A well-planned tour for those who want to experience the wilderness, including Victoria Falls.
Overall, everything went extremely well, and we were really satisfied with the experience. The organization was excellent, and we encountered virtually no significant problems.
Over four days of safari, accompanied by an excellent guide, we explored Botswana’s parks and managed to see practically all the wildlife. Staying in the two tented camps was an authentic experience, allowing us to enjoy nature up close, while the lodges were excellent, particularly Shearwater’s Explorers Village.
The flight from Moremi to Kasane was also a great choice, saving us a considerable amount of time and effort. Chobe, on the other hand, was a little disappointing. Our transfer to Victoria Falls was followed by a fantastic, very well-organized cruise on the Zambezi River.
We suggested a couple of improvements for future trips: using safari vehicles with fold-down windscreens and replacing the river cruise in Chobe with an alternative activity.
Excellent value for money, and communication via WhatsApp was always prompt and reliable.
We would definitely recommend this experience!
Wonderful Safari Tour operator
We had a wonderful safari in Botswana with Monika our guide from Sekanka Safaris. He was excellent and very skilled at finding the animals. We saw Lions, Leopard, Cheetah, Giraffe, Zebra, Elephants, Hippos, Warthog, Hyena, Buffalo, Kudu, Impala, Birds, Monkeys, Mongoose & more. It was the most amazing experience and a very professionally run tour for our family group of six. The cook was excellent and the meals were delicious, catering for both conventional appetites and vegetarians. The camp staff were very attentive and friendly, a great mid range camping experience. We thoroughly recommend this tour operator.

Brilliant organization, individual trip with great experience
We had an absolutely wonderful trip through Namibia and are so grateful to Anna and Tepo for organising everything so beautifully. The journey was tailored specifically to our family and our wishes, and for us it was the perfect balance between thoughtful planning, unforgettable experiences, and still having the freedom to explore Namibia in our own way.
We experienced so many unique and special moments and felt very well looked after throughout the entire trip. Whenever we had questions along the way, Anna and Tepo were always quick to respond, incredibly helpful, and very patient.
You can really feel how much experience, care, and personal attention goes into their work. We were extremely happy with the whole experience, would recommend them without hesitation, and are already looking forward to planning our next trip with them!

All expectations were exceeded
We went to Botswana in August 2026 and were curious and also a bit nervous as it was our first trip organised by a travel agency and not by ourselves. However, there was no need to be nervous at all. We had a few different drivers and guides, all of them were helpful and friendly at all times. When we had questions, we could always reach out to somebody at any time. Furthermore, the tour was just fantastic and we gained a wonderful insight into Botswana (and also Simbabwe). Thank you once again for this experience, we well never forget it.
