Magical safari and beach vacation
Emma and Sarah set up the perfect Tanzanian adventure for us. They worked with us to customize exactly what we wanted and made great suggestions on accommodations and tours. Our driver, Patrick, was wonderful. He had a real knack for finding all the animals we wanted to see and was very knowledgeable about the plants and animals we saw. He seemed genuinely excited with each find right along with us. The balloon ride in the Serengeti was amazing. We did 7 days on safari in all the northern circuit parks. All of the accommodations were great and a couple were beyond our expectations. We finished our holiday with 4 nights on Zanzibar. The beach resort we stayed at was amazing with a room overlooking the crystal clear Indian Ocean. It was a perfect way to unwind after the excitement of the safari. We would definitely recommend Sunset Adventure Safari to everyone.
Magical experience in Tanzania with superb wildlife
We loved our safari trip in Tanzania as the wildlife was abundant and it truly felt that the animals were in absolute freedom, unlike other places we have visited like South Africa. There are no gates and no fences. We loved our 16 day trip to Tarangire, Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti, and finally Zanzibar. Our guide (and driver) Jonathan was excellent. We loved spending time with him and we got on really well. He knew every place so well, every road and every track and found excellent sights of wildfire for us, often by instinct, as he could anticipate well the animals' moves. He was very knowledgeable about the different species, so we learnt a lot and experienced magical moments. He really made the whole difference for us. Unfortunately though, I wish the agency had advised us better on our itinerary as we would have preferred to add North Serengeti to our programme and fly directly from there to Zanzibar. We didn't know this could be an option and that's a pity. Driving all the way back to Arusha and spend the night there in the hotel was unnecessary and didn't add anything to the trip. We very much enjoyed our day cycling and visiting plantations in Mto Wa Mbu but this could have been done on the way to Serengeti. In spite of this, communication was really good and easy with Emma prior to the trip. Overall, a wonderful experience.
One in a Lifetime Trip made memorable by Sunset Adventure Safari
Sunset Adventure Safari,
The itinerary, the flow, the team working directly and indirectly throughout this entire experience was amazing. At no point throughout the entire safari was there any hiccups, miscommunication or surprises. I will 100% recommend booking safari’s with you. From booking and inquiring before flying to Tanzania, throughout from being picked up from Kilimanjaro Airport and dropped back off to Arusha Airport, it was a once in a lifetime experience. It was an amazing week and saw all the wildlife we wanted to see and more!
Emma and Sarah (Amazing Representatives who guided us to booking our Safari),
Thank you so much for your kindness and patience! I’ve lost track of how many emails we had, and the countless of questions that I sent and every single one of them was answered. Thank you for tailoring this safari to our needs and helping making this dream into a reality. If it wasn’t for your quick and elaborate responses, I don’t know if I would have been brave enough to have gone through the process since this is my first time booking something this big. It was very smooth and all the information that was provided was of immense help, thanks you!
Adam (our Tour Guide),
Although we gave you a letter once we were dropped off in Arusha, I wanted to say again thank you for being with us throughout the safari. Your invaluable knowledge, charisma and eye-catching ability to find wildlife was amazing! Thank you for being patient with us while we were taking in the moments and capturing every image/film opportunity that came up. I can easily say that we had the best safari guide with us since even without binoculars, you were able to spot lions in the most challenging areas without any prior sightings of other guides. I am still amazed you were able to spot the rhinos from the Observatory Point in Ngorongoro Crater (1000s of yards away).
He spotted them without binoculars. How.
I can confirm since I took out my binoculars and saw the rhinos slowly walking the trail. Just amazed at his talent and was extremely blessed in having him as our safari guide.
Thank you all for all the dedication and hard work in making this a memorable experience. It will be one that I will always cherish and share any opportunity I can!
One word ‘Fantastic’
Well what can we say, we booked a 17 day trip with Emma and Sarah and the whole experience and organisation of our trip was first class. There wasn’t any issues and all Our questions, queries, changes that we had to make and requirements were met without any problem. All to happy to accommodate and assist with recommendations within our budgets, and to make it exciting and a lifetime experience never to be forgotten..
And so after being met by our guide Johnathon at the airport, we spent a few days in Arusha before going on to our safari and visiting Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro back to Arusha before flying to Stone town and then our beach villa in Zanzibar..
The safari brilliant.. what our Masai guide Jonathan didn’t know or see was unbelievable and must have X-ray eagle vision in spotting all the big 5 plus all The others you can think off and name..very knowledgeable , polite, friendly and able to pick spots other safari groups didn’t know or get too at times.. we spent time getting to know each others lifestyle, families and made us feel very welcome and safe. We are Very happy to call him a friend to the four of us!! Thank you a true star and memorable guide.
Worth a mention the Serengeti balloon flight as well , albeit an early start but fantastic experience for our ladies celebrating their special birthdays..
In summary highly recommend sunset safari, the team and guides. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
An Unforgettable Tanzania Adventure organised by the best Tour Operator!
We booked a 12-day trip with Sunset Adventure Safari from June 20 to July 2nd, combining a 6-day safari through Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater with 6 relaxing days in Zanzibar. This was an incredible way to experience both sides of Tanzania — the wild bush and the stunning coast — and Sunset Adventure Safari made it seamless from start to finish.
From the very beginning, Emma, who owns the business, made this trip incredibly easy to plan. She took the time to curate the itinerary around exactly what we were looking for, and was consistently fast to respond to my messages, no matter the time of day. That level of attentiveness and care gave us confidence in the company from day one, and it carried through the entire trip.
The safari portion of the trip exceeded all our expectations. Our guide, Abraham, was outstanding — genuinely one of the best parts of the entire trip. He had an incredible depth of knowledge about every species we encountered, not just identifying animals but explaining their behaviors, social structures, and the small details that make a real difference to understanding what you're watching. Beyond his expertise, Abraham had a wonderful personality. We laughed constantly, felt completely at ease with him, and never once felt unsafe, even in more remote areas. He struck that perfect balance of being professional and safety-conscious while also being genuinely fun to be around. I cannot recommend him highly enough — if you book with Sunset Adventure Safari, ask for Abraham.
Across the four parks, we were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five — lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant — including some truly remarkable behavioral moments that we'll never forget. We also spotted hyenas, zebra, giraffe, several species of antelope and gazelle, baboons, and hippos. Each park had its own character: Tarangire's baobab-studded landscapes, Lake Manyara's lush greenery, the vast open plains of the Serengeti, and the otherworldly setting of Ngorongoro Crater. Six days was the perfect amount of time to experience the diversity of these ecosystems without feeling rushed.
After the excitement of the safari, we spent six days unwinding at the Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort, and it was the perfect contrast. The resort was beautiful, with large, spacious rooms that gave us plenty of room to relax. The beach itself was stunning — turquoise blue water that looked almost unreal, perfect for swimming and simply soaking in the scenery. The staff went above and beyond throughout our stay, always helpful, warm, and attentive. It was an ideal way to decompress after the early mornings and long game drives of the safari.
Overall ,this trip offered the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. Emma's attentive planning, Abraham's expertise and warmth on safari, and the beautiful stay at the Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort all came together to make this an exceptional trip from start to finish. Highly recommend Sunset Adventure Safari for anyone considering a Tanzania safari, especially if you want to pair it with some downtime on the coast afterward.
