We had a wonderful experience from star to finish. What truly stood up was our tour guide Rama , he was very kind patience and knowledgeable about wildlife, landascape, local culture. We thoroughly enjoyed our safari in Nyerere National Park.
From the very beginning of our direct booking with Uwanda, we had excellent communication via WhatsApp. Questions were answered immediately.
A day beforehand, we were informed about an early morning pickup from our hotel in Zanzibar. Upon arrival at Mtmere Airstrip, our professional driver, Shabani, and expert guide, Mr. Martin, were waiting to immediately begin one of our private game drives.
We enjoyed our time with Mr. Shabani and Mr. Martin in the park, as well as Selous Safari Lodge with its spacious detached cottages, tours in Mloka Village, our time with the Maasai, and the boat trip on the Rufiji River.
Mr. Shabani guided us safely over the most difficult roads, and Mr. Martin was very enthusiastic and told us a lot about the many animals we saw.
Everything was well-organized, punctual, professional, and with a smile. I would definitely book with Uwanda again next time.
In total it was beyond our expectations.

Good value for your money. Apparently there are even better parks in Tanzania but we wanted a short cheap safari experience quick and easy and you couldn't ask for that to be fulfilled in a better way. Got to see many Giraffes, Elephants, Crocodiles, Hippos, Baboons, Pumbas, Zebras, Wilderbeasts, Impalas beautiful Birds and much more in their natural habitat. Great experience for a first little safari. Beautiful diverse landscape including the 2nd largest river in Africa. Lots of friendly people and smiles everywhere except for the car drivers for some reason.. :) And the Selous Lodge staff is the friendliest hotel staff I have experienced and they helped us learn some Swahili on the go. My heart is filled with joy. Asante sana.

Our three-day Safari with our guide, Kapande, was incredible.
Kapande has incredible knowledge of african wildlife, flora and fauna. Thanks to his knowledge of the area, we were able to observe hippos, giraffes, zebras, impalas, warthogs, buffalo, elephants and a lion, among others.
This safari was breathtaking for me and will remain unforgettable.
