We trusted Ozon Tours with our 10-day honeymoon in Tanzania: six days on safari and four days in Zanzibar, and we couldn’t have chosen a better company to help us explore Tanzania and make this dream come true!

From the very beginning, communication with Mr. Yohana was smooth, prompt, and reassuring, making us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout the planning process.

Our guide for the six-day safari was Denis, an incredibly funny, kind, and knowledgeable person. He helped us spot all the animals we had hoped to see—and so many more! His amazing ability to spot animals from incredible distances, combined with his extensive knowledge of wildlife and infectious enthusiasm, made our safari an unforgettable experience.

We learned so much about the different animals we encountered, from mammals to birds and even butterflies (Denis’s favourites!). He always made sure we had the best views and plenty of opportunities to take amazing pictures. He was also incredibly patient, giving us as much time as we wanted to admire our favourite animals, answering all our questions, and making sure we had everything we needed along the way.

We cannot recommend Ozon Tours enough! If you’re planning a safari in Tanzania, we wholeheartedly recommend booking with them and, if possible, having Denis as your guide. His passion, knowledge, humour, and kindness truly made our honeymoon special.

When I first started planning my dream trip to Tanzania, I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of tour operators. However, from the moment I received my custom-designed quote from Ozon Light Tours, I knew I was in good hands. The 11-day itinerary, which perfectly blended the thrill of a Northern Serengeti safari with the relaxation of Zanzibar’s beaches, exceeded every expectation. While the landscapes and wildlife were breathtaking, it was the human touch—specifically the outstanding support from Yohana and the tireless dedication of our guide and driver, Jovin—that truly made this trip unforgettable.

If Yohana was the architect of our trip, Jovin was the engine that drove it. Our guide and driver, Jovin, was nothing short of extraordinary. Over the course of 11 days, he did far more than just drive us from point A to point B. He was a guardian, a teacher, and a friend.

Jovin’s work ethic is unparalleled. I must specifically commend him for his tireless efforts and the long hours he put in. Waking up before dawn to ensure the vehicle was ready for the balloon safari, navigating the challenging, dusty roads of the Serengeti, and then ensuring we were safely settled into our lodges every evening—he never showed a moment of fatigue. His commitment to our safety and comfort was unwavering.

What stood out most was his incredible knowledge of the wildlife and his determination to give us the best sightings. Jovin has a sixth sense for the bush. On Day 4, in the Central Serengeti, he spotted a leopard lounging in a tree from what seemed like miles away. On Day 6, during our search for the Great Migration in the Northern Serengeti, his expert driving brought us right to the edge of the Mara River where we witnessed thousands of wildebeest crossing—a scene I will never forget. He knew exactly where to position the 4x4 Land Cruiser to give us the best photographic angles, always respecting the animals' space while ensuring we got the shot.

Attention to Detail and Genuine Care

Jovin’s assistance went beyond spotting animals. He was incredibly attentive to our personal needs. The vehicle was always stocked with unlimited drinking water and soft drinks, just as promised. He ensured the fridge in the jeep was always cold, a small luxury that made a huge difference in the heat. When we were at the Ngorongoro Crater, his knowledge of the terrain allowed us to see the critically endangered black rhino, something I had dreamed of.

Moreover, Jovin’s warm personality made the long drives enjoyable. He was patient with our endless questions about Tanzanian culture, the Maasai people, and the ecology of the parks. He also went out of his way to help us communicate with the local staff at the lodges, ensuring our dietary preferences were met.

The Itinerary and Highlights

The itinerary itself was flawless. The accommodations, from Kia Lodge near Kilimanjaro Airport to the luxurious Ngorongoro Safari Lodge, were comfortable and well-chosen. The transition from the bush to the beach was seamless. The domestic flight from Arusha to Zanzibar saved us a grueling drive, allowing us to maximize our time relaxing at Kendwa Rocks Beach Hotel.

The hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti was a bucket-list moment. Drifting over the savannah as the sun rose, seeing elephants and giraffes from above, was magical. And the final days in Zanzibar were the perfect way to decompress. The optional snorkeling and dolphin tour on Day 9, arranged by the team, was a delightful addition.

What an incredible experience! One of the best experiences of our lives.

From the very beginning, we were impressed by the amazing service, communication, and attention to detail. We are especially grateful to our driver, who picked us up at the airport and showed us around Arusha. He was so kind, welcoming, and joyful, making us feel comfortable from the very first moment.

And a huge thank you to Elijah for an unforgettable safari! We honestly couldn’t have imagined a better experience. Throughout the entire trip, we felt like we were travelling with a friend - sharing great conversations, lots of laughter, and experiencing so many unforgettable firsts for us. Seeing wildlife in its natural habitat was absolutely magical, especially seeing both black and white rhinos.

We will remember this adventure for the rest of our lives. We couldn’t recommend this experience more highly. If you’re considering a safari, don’t hesitate — this is the one! ❤️

We feel so lucky we went with Ozon Tours for this bucket-list trip. Everything from start to finish was completely flawless.
When we landed in Kilimanjaro, the airport pick-up and our first day in town were super smooth and welcoming. Once we headed out on safari, our guide Elijah took the whole experience to another level. He exceeded our expectations in every way possible - super reliable, friendly, and crazy good at spotting wildlife. We got to see multiple lions, cheetahs, leopards, and even rhinos!
The service, communication, and overall value for money were fantastic. We really couldn't have imagined this trip going any better. Huge thanks to Ozon Tours and Elijah for making it so special. 10/10 recommend!

Best safari & 50th birthday ever!

We had a party of three adults private safari. From pre-planning suggestions to the actual airport pickup to our 7-day safari with accommodations from hotels/tent lodge to airport drop-off, the entire trip was excellent with no real issues. Starting with Letson; the communication between him and my wife prior to arrival was unmatched. His responses were quick and informative each time, even when my wife felt like we were bugging him. He even came by the hotel the first night to ensure we arrived, all was well, and if we had any questions or concerns.
Next was Agustine, our tour guide. He’s a little soft spoken 😊…but we couldn’t have gotten anyone better! It was my wife’s 50th birthday and her name was on the side of the vehicle, some water bottles, and the wine! Awesome personal touch! Agustine also set up a birthday cake/candles and the employees sang and danced at the lodge dinner that night. He asked for my phone and took videos/photos of us as we celebrated. He set up our picnic lunches on the Serengeti and a sunset champagne/wine toast as well. Everyday was better than the day before and it kept getting better. #1 rule on safari - Trust your guide. We were so excited about seeing a black lump off in the distance that was an elephant, Agustine was not excited at all and basically said: yeah, yeah, let’s go. :) Then we’d go and 10 mins later there were 5 elephants right next to our vehicle. 😂 We saw 4 of the big 5 the first two days. Leopard in a tree. elephant and lion in a standoff, with the other 7 lions, and 2 babies nursing, laying under a tree a few feet away. We didn’t see a rhino until the 5 day at the Ngorongoro crater. We saw a great crossing with the wildebeest and zebras. Saw many hippos, crocs fighting over a wildebeest lunch, a lion eating a zebra, cheetah hunting a wildebeest but it eventually gave up, cheetah from the ground and hot air balloon, a serval…along with countless “normally” seen animals. We heard crazy noises at night at the tent lodges and zebras eating right outside our screen at 3am. Agustine knew where to go and took us there. He ensured we had great views but was also respectful of the other vehicles present. He drove multiple hours each day taking up to and fro. The roads are ROUGH. Washboards like you’ve never seen and you drive fast over them…the fact these vehicles are still in service is incredible and a huge shoutout to Toyota. If it was your typical American vehicle, it would fall apart day 1. Agustine was on time everyday and gave us instructions if needed. We are generally go with the flow travelers, so we did whatever he told us to do and it worked amazingly well. We visited Tarangire, central/northern Sarangeti, Ngorongoro crater, and Lake Manyara. Agustine was amazing.
Letson also set up the flight from Arusha to Zanzibar for us.
We had no complaints, you’re in the backroads of Africa with nothing guaranteed. Thanks again Agustine, you were excellent!
