My wife and I went on a safari in Kenya with Rochar Africa Expeditions in October 2026. We really enjoyed the trip and came home with wonderful memories.

Thank you to Phinorah for being kind and helpful while we planned our trip. We really appreciated her help with the arrangements.

Simon was always on time and did his best to show us different animals and their behavior. With him, we saw lions, cheetahs, and hyenas eating their prey. These were some of the most memorable moments of our trip. We could see how hard he worked to help us see as much as possible.

Francis taught us a lot about the animals and nature around us. He told us the animals’ names, how to spell them, and many interesting facts about them. He also pointed out signs left by animals that we would not have noticed on our own. His explanations helped us understand more about what we were seeing.

We saw four of the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. We didn’t see a rhino, but we weren’t disappointed at all. We saw so many amazing things and were very happy with the whole experience.

Thank you to Phinorah, Simon, Francis, and everyone at Rochar Africa Expeditions for making this trip so special. We are glad we chose Rochar and would recommend them to anyone planning a safari in Kenya.

A very well organised tour

We arranged a very last minute tour through this operator and the communication was excellent with very quick responses to all of my questions via email and WhatsApp. Everything worked out perfectly, with the drivers always exactly where they said they'd be at the time they said. I normally arrange my own transport, hotels, tours, etc. But this operator took all the stress out of it and the accommodation they arranged was all very good. They were flexible- I told them what time we had and what we wanted to do and they quickly built the package based on that. The safari was excellent- we saw so many animals and a range of different scenery. It was great being a private tour as well. My only negative was that the safari guide/driver wasn't the friendliest- he spent most of the time on his phone and didn't really seem to enjoy his job. However, he done an excellent job at finding animals and was a good driver.
People were surprised how reasonable the price was given all it included.

The perfect safari experience

Rochar Africa Expeditions was our choice of tour operator when we decided to treat ourselves to a ten-year wedding anniversary safari in Masai Mara, and for obvious reasons. From our first contact with Phinorah Moruri, her promptness and service-mindedness set Rochar apart from the other operators we approached via SafariBookings – shoutout to Phinorah! Rochar catered to all our wishes and needs in a compact, complete yet ambitious plan: pickup at Nairobi Airport by a private guide, drive directly to Masai Mara, accommodation at the wonderful Mara Ngenche Camp – shoutout to manager Paul and his wonderful staff – and plenty of game drives for three whole days before flying back to Nairobi from the park.

We were promised a good guide, and our hopes were fully met in the very capable hands of Benson L. Maatany, who must be the best driver and guide in Masai Mara – shoutout to Benson! We're so grateful!

In summary, and thanks to Rochar's arrangements, everything was executed to perfection. A 10/10 experience we'll remember forever. We give Rochar Africa Expeditions our warmest recommendation. Look no further!

Thank you to Phinora and Francis (driver) from Rochar expeditions, the safari package was perfect and exceeded all our expectations!
The hot air balloon and Diani Beach add-on was well worth the money.
We were lucky to be able to see the Big 5 and thank the team for the hard work and dedication, every single moment was accounted for and we have enjoyed this as our first time in Kenya!
