Friendly, but not reliable

but I have to give makini 3/10 because:
When you arrive they ask you to pay in cash, but they don't have change on them. So I got promised that they would give me my money on the last day, but I never saw the contact person again.
Also when I was seperated with the rest of the group, since I was the only one left and I went to a hotel for my last day of safari, I tried to get in contact with my contact person and he did not pick up the phone or text back for 2 hours. They were responsible for dinner, since it was included. I had no dinner, I was starving. And no one had told me at what time I'd be picked up the day after. Also the next morning no breakfast, so 24 hours without food. The contact person called me back after I was already asleep and told me at what time they'd pick me up, but ignored the fact that I had no dinner.
They asked me for my t-shirt size, also never saw that t-shirt.
I would recommend the safari a 100%, just not the company.

We did the 4 day camping safari and it was amazing. Our guide Gifty was very friendly, knowledgeable and took the extra effort to ensure we saw everything we could at the best angle. He was also great to have a laugh with! The tour itself was also great, the tents were comfy and sturdy and the food was delicious and in large quantities. Would definitely recommend if you are looking to see abundance of herd animals as well have the many big cats. We ended up seeing close to 30 lions and 3 leopards and even had a cheetah jump on top of our car.

From the very first inquiry, Nancy was outstanding. Her communication was prompt, professional, and informative. She answered all of our questions, provided detailed information about the itinerary, and helped us feel confident and excited about our trip long before we arrived in Tanzania. Her professionalism and attention to detail made the entire planning and booking process stress-free and enjoyable.
Our guide, Rashed Kihiyo, was simply amazing. His knowledge of the wildlife, parks, and local culture was impressive, and his passion for his work was evident every day. He worked hard to ensure we had the best possible game drives and wildlife sightings.
Thanks to his expertise and dedication, we were able to see an incredible variety of animals and enjoy experiences we will never forget. Rashed takes genuine pride in his work, and it shows. We will absolutely be recommending him to our family and friends.
We would also like to recognize our chet, Denis, who did a fantastic job throughout the safari. Every meal was delicious, fresh, and prepared with care. We were genuinely impressed by the quality and variety of the food, especially considering we were traveling through the national parks. Denis played a huge role in making our safari experience even more enjoyable.
The entire Go Makini Tanzania Expedition team made us feel welcomed, safe, and well cared for throughout our journey. Everything was organized professionally, the service was excellent, and the overall experience exceeded anything we could have imagined. The combination of outstanding communication, exceptional guiding, delicious food, and excellent value for money made this one of the best vacations we have ever taken.

We went on a 7-day safari with Makini, and everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. Our WhatsApp contact, Nancy, was extremely helpful, responsive, and always quick to communicate, which made planning and coordination smooth and stress-free.

Our safari driver, Elisha, was outstanding and truly made the experience unforgettable. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and went out of his way to ensure we saw as much wildlife as possible, including incredible sightings across the Serengeti and beyond. His dedication and expertise made every game drive exciting and rewarding.

Overall, it was an amazing experience that exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend Makini, Nancy, and especially Elisha to anyone planning a safari.
