Kilimanjaro Trekking

Our group of four friends took on the Machame Route on Mount Kilimanjaro and it turned out to be the adventure of a lifetime.
We met the crew at our hotel in Moshi for a detailed gear inspection and briefing. From the very beginning everything felt organized and professional. The trek was tough with long days steep sections and the challenge of altitude but the incredible support team made it possible every step of the way.
We were lucky with great weather and the food was excellent and surprisingly varied. The experienced crew led by Juma checked our health regularly and kept our spirits high. The tents were sturdy the sleeping bags warm and comfortable and all the equipment was top quality.
Summit day was the hardest but most rewarding. Reaching the top and taking in the breathtaking views above the clouds was unforgettable. Standing together at the summit we felt proud grateful and deeply connected not just to the mountain but to each other.
We came for the climb and left with friendships and memories to last a lifetime.

We had the best time celebrating my birthday hiking Mount Kilimanjaro with Zara Tours. Lema and his team supported us every step, ensuring safety, comfort, and encouragement throughout the six-day climb. Special thanks to our porters too, whose warmth, humor, and care made each day memorable. The team even surprised us with a birthday cake at the summit. Professional, friendly, and attentive, they made us feel like family. We couldn’t have asked for a better Kilimanjaro trekking experience.

An extraordinary and memorable experience

Our safari was an extraordinary and memorable experience from beginning to end. In Tarangire and the Serengeti we were lucky enough to see four of the Big Five several times, and spotting rhinos in the Ngorongoro Crater allowed us to complete the full Big Five list. That moment was truly special. The entire journey was thoughtfully coordinated by Isdory, and everything ran smoothly and efficiently throughout the trip.
Juma, our guide, was outstanding. He was highly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely kind. His deep understanding of the wildlife and his ability to position us for great sightings made every game drive exciting and informative. We always felt well cared for and in excellent hands.
The accommodations chosen along the safari route were beautiful and comfortable, with attentive service at every stop. Each lodge added something unique to the overall experience.
We highly recommend Zara Tours to anyone looking for a well organized and authentic safari adventure in Tanzania.

Trekking Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route in 8 days was the toughest thing we have ever done, but also one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives.
This climb demands real endurance, mental strength, and expert support, and we could not have asked for a better crew. Under the leadership of our guide Lema, we felt safe, motivated, and incredibly well cared for every single day. The professionalism, skills, and genuine friendship of the entire team made all the difference. Their support carried us through the hardest moments.
The meals were excellent (far beyond what we expected on a mountain!), the equipment was great, and the organization was flawless. Along the way, we were constantly amazed by the changing scenery, from lush rainforest to alpine desert and the breathtaking views that never stopped inspiring us.
The summit was incredibly tough, but standing at the top made every step worth it. The sense of achievement is something we will carry forever. We also loved the camaraderie within our group, the Swahili songs on the trail, and learning so much about Tanzania, its culture, and its people.
Saying goodbye at the end was honestly the hardest part. What started as a trek ended as a shared journey and deep connection. Asante sana to Lema and the whole crew you made this adventure truly unforgettable. 💙

We did a 9-day luxury safari and it completely exceeded our expectations. Thanks to our outstanding guide, Mushi, we saw the Big Five and so much more. He worked tirelessly to find wildlife and delivered sighting after sighting.
Staying at Ikoma and Serengeti Wild Camps was unforgettable, with wildlife all around and lions incredibly close by. Highview Hotel in Karatu was the perfect place to relax between adventures.
Mushi also made our visits to the Maasai village and the Hadzabe bushmen truly special. Cycling from Karatu to Mto wa Mbu was a blast and gave us a beautiful glimpse of local life and scenery.
This is a trip we’ll remember forever. We can’t wait to return for another migration scene and when we do, we will definitely go with Zara
