What an amazing time we had in Victoria Falls and Botswana. Jonathan was able to organise fantastic accommodation, an amazing Guide, Locks for the Victoria Falls excursion and an amazing Safari Guide, Moshe for the Chobe National Park Safaris (we ended up doing 3 Safaris in the end). As we were a crew of 3 travelling together, our ages varied; we were aged 50, 73 and 82 years old. When planning our holiday, Jonathan took this into consideration; difference in our ages and abilities to join the activities/excursions. Also, as 2 of the 3 travellers are Coeliacs, Jonathan ensured that the food was suitable to eat at each Lodge and ensuring that when we went out for Lunch or Dinner, they were aware of our requirements. Upon arrival in Victoria Falls, we stayed 2 nights at "The Shrub Lodge" and then the following 2 nights were at the "Kwalape Safari Lodge" in Botswana. After our National Park Safaris, and the Chobe River Cruise, we returned back to Victoria Falls, for another 2 nights at "The Shrub Lodge". Staff at both Lodges were amazing, extremely polite, and helpful. To be honest, when we left "The Shrub Lodge" it was hard to say goodbye, as over the 4 nights we stayed, the staff became like family. I may have had tears in my eyes when I got into the vehicle to leave. Each time we went out, we felt safe and confident that if we needed anything, Jonathan would be able to assist us.
At this point, I’ll be planning another holiday with Jonathan to return to Victoria Falls, Botswana and to see what other adventures he can suggest for me and the crew. I’m also going to see if any other friends or family want to join the adventure.

We were extremely happy with our entire Zimbabwe trip, and honestly wish we could have extended our stay. We booked Jonathan after reading the reviews, and I’m so glad we trusted our instincts because he did not disappoint. Jonathan is a superb planner—very responsive, organized, and thoughtful in every detail. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely special as a family.

All our transfers were private, never shared, and the vans were spotless and comfortable. Every ride was prompt, and all the connections and handoffs between tours were incredibly smooth. His tour guide, Mr. T, was just as warm and accommodating. Our family felt secure, cared for, and well-guided throughout the entire trip.

They even helped us with border crossings and navigating the immigration lines, which made a huge difference and took away so much stress. Jonathan’s quote was also very well priced compared to other operators. I sometimes worry when a company has only a handful of reviews, but this time I’m grateful I followed my gut—Jonathan exceeded every expectation.

I visited many countries but Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 took my heart ❤️
I was lucky to find African fairytale and my friend Jonathan. Very professional , punctual , flexible and the most important Fun guide. I recommend him if you want to have a complete "fairytale" trip experience, from visiting the best places, having the best recommendations and offering help for all what you need. We were a group of 5. Jonathan was helpful planning the 6 day trip but also with the execution. I made changes to the trip and Jonathan cheerfully worked out my requests. This was not my first safari. We started in Victoria Falls with a sunset cruise that included drinks and snacks. Next day visited the falls and then drove to Botswana. The lodge in Vic Falls was spotless with A/C. Staff at the lodge was helpful with good wifi. Nice breakfast and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our plan only had breakfast. After the cruise we had the driver drop us in Victoria Falls for dinner. Jonathan picked us up and took us back to the lodge.
The game drives in Chobe were awesome. Saw over 30 lions in addition to a leopard plus elephants, zebras, giraffes, baboons and more. On the cruise we saw hippos, crocodiles and more.
The Travel Lodge Botswana was great with breakfast and dinner included.
Jonathan checked in at least once a day to make sure things were going as planned. Great time and great value. Work with Jonathan for an awesome holiday!
