A huge thank you to Simba Land Magic Tours, represented by David, for their professionalism and the perfect organization of our safari.

We were fortunate to be accompanied by Elias, who was both our driver and our guide. He was exceptional from beginning to end: very welcoming, always smiling, respectful, dedicated, and passionate about his work. He also speaks excellent French, which made our conversations and all his explanations even more enjoyable and easy to understand.

Elias explained things very well and always took the time to answer our questions and share a wealth of interesting information about the animals, nature, and the park. Above all, he did everything he could to ensure we saw as many animals as possible during our safari. Thanks to his motivation, patience, and experience, we managed to see all the animals we hoped to see!

We felt confident and very well taken care of throughout the entire experience. Everything was perfectly organized, and we will cherish incredible memories of this safari.

We thought carefully about how many stars to give, and it was a tough decision. We booked an 8-day safari, and the experience we had was quite mixed. Our operator was great, mostly responded immediately, and was very friendly and forthcoming!

However, we repeatedly had issues with the car we used to travel to the Serengeti, which cost us a lot of time. I know that breakdowns happen often and that the roads are bumpy, but this jeep had more than 500,000 kilometers on it, and I think it’s time to replace it. The experience also depended a lot on which guide we had each day. They ranged from super motivated, knowledgeable, and engaging to catastrophic, barely talking to us at all.

We had a really great cook. The food was delicious, and for some reason, he was the one who gave us the most reliable information.

When going on a safari, I think it’s important to keep in mind that things simply work differently in Africa. Most likely, the safari will involve quite a lot of waiting because “African time” is different. I think it’s part of the experience that not everything goes exactly as planned.

We saw all of the Big Five, and even got to see some of them up close, and that’s what matters.

Honestly, I think you can be lucky or unlucky, no matter which safari provider you choose.

Overall, we had a great time and came home with some good stories to tell!

The organization was a complete disaster. On the day we arrived, a driver picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel at 1:00 p.m. He told us that someone would come later that afternoon to give us a briefing. As soon as we arrived, I sent a WhatsApp message to our contact person, but they never replied. We found ourselves stuck at the hotel with no idea what time the safari would start, who would pick us up, or what the plan was.

Eventually, at around 7:00 p.m., the hotel reception managed to get in touch with them, and they told us that the briefing would take place the following morning. It never happened. They simply picked us up from the hotel and drove us straight to the parks.

Once we were there, I think your experience depends entirely on the driver you get. Ours was terrible. He barely explained anything, rarely stopped at good photo spots, and although we were very lucky to see all the animals we hoped for, it certainly wasn’t because he was actively looking for them. In fact, he spent most of the drive using his phone.

On our first day in the Serengeti, he picked us up 1 hour and 15 minutes later than the agreed time. Even worse, on the day we visited the Ngorongoro Crater, we had been told it was essential to leave early to make the most of our permit before it expired. Instead, we left the camp two hours late because our driver was waiting to help one of his colleagues.

The parks themselves are absolutely incredible, but the company’s organization leaves a lot to be desired. After the trip, we sent them a WhatsApp message with detailed feedback so they could improve their service. They never even replied with a simple “thank you.”

I would never book with this company again.

Very good price relationship. Both the travel company, the assigned guide (Rehema and Shedrak) have been very considerate, always attentive to anything we need and adapt to what we also wanted without problem. It has been a very enjoyable experience thanks to them. We have learned several new things and have been able to discover the wonders of Tanzania.
