Our time with Daniel in the Kilimanjaro region was absolutely amazing. From start to finish, he made us feel safe, welcomed, and cared for every step of the way. We did the trek to the first camp on Kilimanjaro, visited the Chemka Hot Springs, explored the Materuni Waterfalls, and toured a local coffee plantation — each experience was unique, personal, and filled with genuine connection.
Daniel has an incredible depth of knowledge about the mountain, the local culture, and the history of the area. He’s passionate about sharing it, and you can feel his love for his home in every story he tells. He also knows all the best local guides at each destination, ensuring every part of the trip runs smoothly and feels special.

Amazing day trek on Mt Kilimanjaro
If you'd like a taste of the Mt Kilimanjaro trail without the multi-day commitment, I highly recommend a day trip on the Marangu route with Hilltop Travel My friends from China and I were guided by Denis for a delightful trek through the rain forest up to the first set of overnight Mandara Huts. After a tasty box lunch we continued over and down through the near by crater before heading back down to the gate. The trek gave us a sense of the majesty of the mountain and its climbing challenge at a pleasant pace. The scenery was majestic.
