Nassari resident of Tanzania. We began operations in July, 2013. We offer all types of safaris: traditional driving safaris to all Tanzania National Parks, mountain climbing expeditions, trekking and walking safaris, and beach holidays.

Amazing experience!

We had an amazing 6-day safari with Meru Slopes Safari. Our guide Samwel was super friendly, professional, and knew so much about the animals, nature, and local culture. We saw so many animals, it was for sure a once in a lifetime experience.

Camping at night with animals around was exciting, and the food from our cook was really tasty with lots of variety.

We‘d definitely go with them again and totally recommend them!

We are so glad that we chose Meru Slopes! Meru Slopes provided a safari experience that managed to exceed our already high expectations. Gift T. communicated swiftly and clearly during our planning. He helped us customize the perfect 8 day safari experience. Our driver and guide Florian was friendly, experienced, very professional, and responsible for providing us with an even better experience than we could have imagined. He knew every animal and could spot them with surprising speed. We noticed many other safari companies struggling with inexperienced or poorly maintained vehicles. Our vehicle was very well maintained and our driver gave us the highest confidence. We also did a Materuni Falls day trip, prior to our safari. In that case, our driver and guide was Herman. As with the other Meru Slopes team members, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and the best guide and new friend. I highly recommend Meru Slopes tours and safaris. Their prices were very fair, their lodges and hotels were spectacular, and their guides were the utmost professionals.

My husband and I just returned from an unforgettable 8-day safari with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris, and we can't recommend them highly enough. While a safari hadn’t originally been on our bucket list, we joined close friends on this adventure and we’re so glad we did!

From the start, our experience was seamless. Gift Tembo, our Meru Slopes coordinator, was outstanding. He was prompt, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. Every detail was handled smoothly, and we felt well taken care of from the moment we landed in Tanzania.
The accommodations during the safari, a mix of charming lodges and authentic bush camps, were excellent, and the food throughout was fresh, flavorful, and plentiful.

The true highlight of our trip was our guide, Stanley. Calm, knowledgeable, and deeply passionate about his country and its wildlife, Stanley made every game drive an adventure. He grew up around wildlife (his father was also a guide), and his instincts were amazing. He often spotted animals in the distance that we never would have seen. Thanks to him, we saw lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, rhinos, zebras, hyenas, hippos, and more. One magical moment we’ll never forget was watching a cheetah mother teach her cubs to hunt.

This was truly the trip of a lifetime, and we’re so grateful to Gift, Stanley, and the entire Meru Slopes team. If you're considering a safari, look no further. Meru Slopes delivers an exceptional, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

My recent safari trip to Tanzania, arranged by Meru Slopes, was nothing short of incredible. From start to finish, everything was handled with the utmost professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. Here’s a breakdown of my wonderful experience:

Outstanding Planning by Jerome
First and foremost, I want to thank Jerome, who was in charge of organizing the itinerary. He was extremely patient, kind, and responsive throughout the entire planning process. Every request I made—big or small—was taken seriously, and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was arranged perfectly.

Jerome clearly cares deeply about guest satisfaction. He even followed up after the trip to get feedback and was always open to adjusting plans to accommodate both our preferences and local considerations. That level of commitment made a huge difference and really put us at ease.

Knowledgeable and Enthusiastic Guide – Julius
Our tour guide, Julius, was equally amazing. He spoke fluent English, was very enthusiastic, and had deep knowledge about the wildlife, nature, and history of the areas we visited. He made every game drive exciting and educational, and his passion for the region and its animals was infectious.

Julius made sure we felt safe and comfortable at all times and helped us spot all the Big Five and so much more! Thanks to his guidance, we were able to see a stunning variety of wildlife in their natural habitat—truly a dream come true.

Exceptional Accommodations and Service
We opted for a private safari, and all the accommodations arranged by Meru Slopes were top-notch. The lodges were clean, well-maintained, and staffed by friendly and attentive people, including many wonderful women working in hospitality who made us feel very welcome.

Each stay was thoughtfully chosen and provided the perfect mix of comfort and authentic safari experience. From meals to hygiene, everything exceeded our expectations.

Perfectly Handled Logistics
The team took care of everything from airport pickup to drop-off. The transitions between lodges, parks, and activities were seamless and stress-free. Knowing that we were in good hands the entire time allowed us to just relax and enjoy every moment.
