Unforgettable Safari Experience in Tanzania

I’ve just returned from an incredible journey in Tanzania, and it has truly been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We went on safari in Ngorongoro, Serengeti, and Tarangire, where we witnessed breathtaking landscapes and countless wild animals that left us in awe.

A very special thanks goes to our guide Rashid, who was simply outstanding: extremely knowledgeable about the parks and the wildlife, always ready to answer every question with patience and detail. With his “eagle eye,” he was able to spot animals from far away and make sure we didn’t miss a single moment. His cheerful personality and positive energy brightened every day and made the whole trip even more enjoyable.

I also want to thank Samueli and Lobulu, who were equally professional, kind, and always available to share stories, explanations, and interesting insights.

These were truly wonderful days, filled with emotions and unique experiences that we will treasure forever. I wholeheartedly recommend this safari to anyone who wants to live an authentic, exciting, and unforgettable adventure in Tanzania.

One in a lifetime experience, perfect orchestration

As a couple, we made a private 4 day mid range safari tour with one day coffee and waterfall excursion.
First of all, our pre-safari communication with Shadrack, the manager, was smooth and reactive. He sincerely wishes to make sure your experience is one of a lifetime’s. He met us in person before and after our safari tour to brief before and gather our thoughts and recommendations after.
Secondly, all of our guides were knowledgeable, adaptive, funny and helpful. Special thanks to our guide Fred who was a very good driver, excellent guide (both knowledgeable about the type and description of animals, places to look for them and safety concerns related).
Our accommodation was generally good : both with “glamping” in Serengeti (heritage camp) and Ngorongogo (Ngorongoro Wild Camp) and more European style hotel in Arusha (Arusha planet lodge) and nearby Tarangire National Park (Eileen’s trees inn). All of the hotels personnel were very helpful, friendly and kind. Breakfast and dinner in our accommodation was mostly varied and with some vegetarian options (a little less options in Serengeti heritage camp and ngorongoro but understandable because of the distance from the bigger cities). However, even though we shared in advance that we both were vegetarian, on a few occasion our choice was quite limited with rice and a few raw salad. On a brighter side, we had “unlimited” beer and wine as well as coffee (in powder), water and tea available for us in the van.
We celebrated our first lion sighting with a glass of wine which was memorable.
All in all, we wish we had booked one or two days more than we did because we felt it was not that tiring and enjoyed our time. Thank you again for this lifetime experience. We certainly recommend Meru Slopes tours and safaris. You will not be disappointed! Don’t look any further.

From the moment we first inquired about a safari with Meru Slopes, our representative Almachius was on the ball. I was apprehensive when first making contact as I received an immediate response (i was hoping this was not a bot) but he quickly earned our families trust with his timely response to our questions and his flexibility in arranging a personalized tour based on our requirements. Our experience with Meru Slopes could not have been better. The accommodation that they arranged for us during our safari exceeded expectations and we had the most wonderful and knowledgable guides throughout our trip (shout out to Juma, Kennedy and Nickson). The service and check in's we received from Almachius during our trip made us feel really well taken care of. We will definitely be returning and would not hesitate to book through Meru Slopes again. Thank you for making our safari the most wonderful experience.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to your company for arranging our guide, Andrew, during our trip to Tanzania. Throughout the journey, he was not only thoughtful, warm, and attentive, but also very knowledgeable. Whenever we encountered any issues, he always handled and solved them promptly, which made us feel completely at ease.

What impressed us most was Andrew’s exceptional thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Every day he carefully prepared our lunch boxes, adding fresh vegetables such as salad, cucumbers, and tomatoes, just to meet our personal preferences and special needs. This kind of care made us feel truly valued.

In addition, he always managed to find the best spots to witness the great migration, as well as other wildlife moments. While observing animals, Andrew demonstrated an incredible sensitivity—he could quickly detect their movements and bring us to the perfect angle to appreciate and photograph them. His deep knowledge of the animals—their habits, behavior, and the times and places where they were most likely to appear—left a lasting impression on us.

Thanks to Andrew’s professional guidance, our experience went far beyond our expectations. We were able to witness the magnificent wildebeest migration as well as the wildlife we had always dreamed of seeing, including cheetahs, leopards, and lions, elephants, giraffes and zebras. Because of his great efforts, we were so lucky enough to encounter all the animals we had hoped to see.

We are truly impressed by Andrew’s professionalism, dedication, and thoughtfulness, and we also deeply appreciate the careful arrangements made by Meru Slopes. This journey was not only smooth and enjoyable but also far exceeded our expectations.

Once again, thank you very much! We sincerely hope that one day we can return to Tanzania and meet Andrew again.

Visited Arusha and did safari for 7 days overall was a great experience,, made even better by the guys at Meru Slopes,especial shout out to Patrick our safari guide and Victor. They certainly made the difference and will recommend to anyone, thanks again for everything
