They really tried their best to do everything possible, there was sometimes transparency missing
4/5

We booked the tour online in advance, which of course sometimes raises concerns about whether the provider actually exists. It does exist😉 We then received several route changes; apparently, the budget wasn’t enough for the route we wanted. The tour was shortened over the course of the days while keeping the booked price the same—we didn’t want that. More changes followed; this time, destinations we’d requested were omitted, partly with flimsy excuses like “too much rain” or “the volcano is currently active”… eventually, we were able to agree on adjustments: no longer a private tour, but still covering the most important sites. I actually expect that when I book a tour, it will be offered exactly as I booked it. And that the money for my package will “be enough.”
But maybe that’s just the Tanzanian way of life—it’ll all work out fine, and we’ll see how it goes….

The evening before the tour, we sat down with the guide again and were able to ask all our questions—that was really great, put our minds at ease, and got us excited for the tour.

Then came the Serengeti tour; we picked up three more participants and saw a lot. On our first night at the campsite, we were greeted upon arrival by a herd of elephants running around the campground. Exciting and definitely special. We then spent the next night at the Ngorongoro Crater to explore rhinos and the crater early the next morning. Unfortunately, that’s when the poor communication began; we had to escort a participant who had left the group out of the park. This meant we were all able to see less, but we weren’t really given any information. Then we spent the night outside the national park, but without any information—this wasn’t what had originally been agreed upon. We were then given incorrect departure times for the next leg of the trip. Breakfast wasn’t served until an hour later than originally announced. We then continued on to Lake Natron. The drive was really cool because we got to see a bit of the surrounding area. There, we had a guided tour to a waterfall with a Maasai—a definite highlight. Especially since we were there so early; a few more tourists arrived after us and had to share the waterfall, but we had the whole place to ourselves. That was really nice. In the evening, we took a trip to Lake Natron to watch the sunset and see the flamingos, and the next day we headed back.

All in all, the tour was wonderful if you can overlook the fact that, every now and then, things that had been agreed upon didn’t happen. The driver and guide were very nice and knowledgeable, and the cook was also very friendly. The food was delicious.
We saw amazing animals and certainly gained many experiences that we will remember for a long time.

Short but amazing safari!
5/5

We only had 3 days for a quick safari with friends and I’m so glad we chose Civet Adventures. The communication during the booking was very clear and everything went smoothly once we arrived. No stress at all.

Huge shoutout to our guide, Jeremy. The guy is a pro. He knew exactly where to take us to see the animals and was really patient with all our questions. We had a blast and the views were just incredible. If you're short on time but want a quality experience, definitely check them out. Thanks Jeremy!

Best 5-Day Safari with Jeremy.
5/5

We just returned from an incredible 5-day private safari with Civet Adventures, and it exceeded all our expectations! Traveling as a group, we wanted someone reliable, and this team delivered perfectly.
Our guide, Jeremy, was truly the star of the trip. In the photo, you can see him with our group—he’s not only an expert spotter but also a wonderful person who made us feel like family. His knowledge of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater is unmatched. Thanks to his sharp eyes, we saw everything from a pride of lions to the elusive leopard!
The safari jeep (License: T726 ANT) was super comfortable and handled the rugged terrain with ease. It was clean, well-stocked, and the pop-up roof was perfect for our group to get the best wildlife shots. Every detail, from the lodges to the daily schedule, was handled with such professionalism. If you are planning a trip to Tanzania, look no further than Jeremy and the Civet Adventures team. Asante sana for the memories!

Four Days Fresh Air and a Different Kind of Family Trip.
5/5

Went on a 4-day safari with my family last week. Honestly, it was a fairly easy trip overall. Getting there and settling in didn’t take much effort which helped since we were traveling with kids.
The stay was decent clean rooms quiet surroundings and close enough to the main safari area. Nothing felt over the top just practical and comfortable. Most days started early with the drives, and the guides handled things calmly. They pointed things out when needed but didn’t talk too much which I personally liked.
We saw quite a few animals over the days though some drives were slower than others. That’s just how it goes I guess. The kids stayed interested, so that was a good sign.
By the end of it, the whole trip felt steady and manageable. Not perfect, but it worked well for what we wanted — some time outdoors without too much hassle.

Proper Tanzania trip with Jeremy.
5/5

Jeremy really is the standout here. His spotting skills are on another level—he managed to find a lion tucked away near some zebras that we totally would’ve missed (posted the shot here). It didn’t feel like a rushed tourist tour; he actually took the time to let us watch the wildlife properly.
The setup with Civet Adventures was exactly what we needed. Our tent had this great wooden deck where my kids just spent their downtime relaxing and taking in the view between drives. It felt rugged but was still very comfortable for a family.
The highlight for us was definitely the evenings. Sitting by the campfire with a drink, watching the sun go down over the plains... it’s those quiet moments that made the trip. If you want a straightforward, well-managed safari that doesn’t feel scripted, this team is a solid choice.
