Our trip through Ethiopia was truly remarkable from start to finish, and Mulugeta played a massive part in making it so special. Having guided extensively across both the North and the South, his depth of knowledge and experience is second to none.
With natural beauty and diverse cultures, Ethiopia holds a singular status in world history and African culture. Unlike almost any other nation on the continent, its identity was shaped by millennia of unbroken sovereignty, distinct spiritual traditions, and profound historical firsts.

The Reason I Keep Coming Back to Ethiopia

I’ve traveled to Ethiopia several times, and the main reason I keep coming back is Mulugeta. He is far more than just a guide. He has a remarkable knowledge of Ethiopia’s history, culture, and traditions, and he shares it with genuine passion and pride.

Lalibela is where he truly stands out. Visiting the rock-hewn churches with Mulugeta completely changes the experience. Instead of simply looking at historic sites, you begin to understand their meaning, history, and spiritual importance. He knows the hidden details, the best times to visit, and the stories that you would never discover on your own.

What impressed me most is that he never rushes you. He answers every question patiently, adapts the tour to your interests, and makes you feel more like a friend than a customer.

If you’re planning a trip anywhere in Ethiopia, especially Lalibela, I cannot recommend Mulugeta highly enough. Without him, my experience of Ethiopia would never have been the same, and he is the reason I’ve returned to this incredible country more than once.
