From the onset, while i requested a quote for the trip, Rachel was very informative, accomodating, transparent and flexible in her recommendations and alway responsive for the million queries i had.
From pickup at the airport to drop off on the final day, the whole experience and hospitality was beyond reproach.
Alex our safari guide was always a happy presence throughout our week's trip. Travelling with family and a kid, we were not always on time. And we had many requests and adjustments in the middle. He was so patient in accommodating all our requests.
The safari lodge options suggested were all wonderful and gave us a unique blend of all we needed for our first trip to Kenya.
The whole experience was beyond amazing and it was mainly thanks to Splendid vacations and their awesome service.

Great 4-day safari to Masai Mara & Naivasha
We had four amazing days. Well balanced schedule, combining game drive, boat trip and walking amongst animals. Accommodation was great, SOPA lounges both in Masai Mara & Naivasha. in Naivasha there were zebras & giraffs knocking on the hotel room windows. Food buffé was way above expectations (given we were in the middle of the Savannah), with plenty of options.
Service was 5/5 across, both in terms of hotel personell, drivers (Simon) and splendid vacation customer service.
Special shoutout to our guide / game driver Willy who really did his best to maximize our experience. Including had us focusing on the rare animals. It’s easy to get excited about the first zebra, wanting to stay and take 100 photos, but Willy convinced us to chase the cheetahs, lions & leopards instead as we would see plenty of the ”common animals” later during our trip - which we did. Willy also ”felt the room”, provided plenty of interesting facts, but also kept quite at times when we just wanted to feel the moment. We can really recommend Willy.

Unforgettable safari experience
We had an amazing 7-day safari experience with Splendid Vacations visiting Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and lastly Masai Mara. Our guide, Alex Masila, with his charisma, long experience and expertise in the field gave us unforgettable Safaris. His spider senses always ensured we had perfect locations for taking amazing videos and photos! Would definitely recommend Splendid Vacations and looking forward to our next visit to Kenya.

Well organised trip , everything ran smoothly.
The four day trip was completely organised for us, picking us up at the Airport in Nairobi and back again after visits to Naivasha and the Maasai Mara. This included two game drives within the Mara plains. Communications were great with the operator and the value for money was fantastic. The driver we had for the time was great, with fantastic knowledge of the animals and took time to answer our questions.

I don't even know where to begin with how wonderful our experience with Splendid Vacations was for our 9 day safari. Rachael provided efficient, polite, and thorough communication through the entire planning process. I honestly found myself thinking "It can't really be this easy", but it absolutely was! Our trip began with our guide, Gabriel, who took us on an amazing day tour of Nairobi that included many of the best sites like Nairobi National Park and National Museum, and so much more!
The next day we were greeted by our safari guide, Timothy. Timothy took our trip from great to absolutely incredible. His years of experience as a guide were immediately evident. He was able to provide us so many interesting facts about all the animals we saw. He also knew exactly how to position us for the best viewing experience and could basically predict where each animal would be or where they might go next. He was very personable, pleasant, professional, and always on time for our next adventure.
I was so nervous when picking a company for our Kenyan Safari, but Splendid Vacations exceeded all of our expectations. We paid a very reasonable price for our trip and the accommodations selected were beautiful and comfortable!
I will definitely be recommending Splendid Vacations to my friends and family!
Wonderful safari
Splendid Vacations was a wonderful choice. Alice, our tour operator, was responsive and kind, adjusted the safari according to our needs, and was the only operator providing transparent pricing, which we appreciated. She was always available and communicated with us throughout the safari. Tim, our guide, really made the trip. He has had many years of experience, which meant he was very knowledgeable of the animals and the best way to see them, and adjusted the schedule to our needs. He was also an excellent driver (which is very much appreciated in the Kenyan roads!).

Alice was very flexible and happy to adjust the itinerary to suit our own request she then provided a perfect Safari packages as per my request. Communication with her via WhatsApp was easy and efficient. She was always quick to respond and answering all our questions with care. We were also delighted to meet Alice in person, who gave us such a warm welcome at the airport. It was a wonderful surprise and made us feel valued and well cared for right from the moment we arrived.

He was the heart and soul of our adventure his expertise, warmth, and genuine passion for wildlife made every moment unforgettable.
Tim had an extraordinary ability to spot animals from great distances and always positioned the vehicle perfectly to give us the best views whether it was a pride of lions lounging in the shade, elephants & rhinos crossing our path, or a leopard hidden in the trees. He was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing detailed insights about each animal’s & birds behavior, habitat, and conservation efforts.
Beyond his guiding skills, Tim was simply a joy to be around punctual, patient, kind, and always attentive to our comfort. He made us feel safe, informed, and completely taken care of from start to finish. Each day with him was a perfect balance of adventure, learning, and laughter.
By the end of our safari, Tim wasn’t just our guide he felt like a family. Tim treated us like family in his attentiveness. We are so grateful to have shared this experience with someone so dedicated and passionate. If you're planning a safari, ask for Timothy—you won’t regret it. He made our trip truly exceptional.

Unforgettable Safari Experience with Splendid Vacations
We booked a 5-day safari tour to Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and the Masai Mara with Splendid Vacations. Our consultant, James, helped finalize our itinerary according to schedule.
A special thanks goes to our game driver—also named James—for his excellent driving skills, professional knowledge, and patient care throughout the trip. He consistently positioned the vehicle for the best photography opportunities and even gave us helpful photography tips. Thanks to his expertise, we not only saw the Big Five—including a leopard—but also the “Ugly Five.” The safari experience was truly amazing and flawless.
Before the trip, we listed the wildlife we hoped to see and categorized them into "common" and "rare" sightings with the help of ChatGPT. Without James’s guidance, we wouldn’t have been able to achieve that goal.
For accommodation, we chose Ol Tukai Lodge in Amboseli, Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge at Lake Nakuru, and Muthu Keekorok Lodge in the Masai Mara. These were selected for their excellent views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Lake Nakuru, and the Hippo Bar, respectively.

Incredible experience from start to finish – well organized, reliable, and truly memorable!
We booked a 6-day safari with Splendid Vacations covering Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara, and had an absolutely amazing experience. Our driver Julius was the heart of the trip — kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. From the start, he showed his deep experience: in Amboseli, he guided us to a cheetah family, and we were the only ones there to witness it! Throughout the tour, he adapted to our pace and made us feel completely at ease — whether it was letting us rest quietly during long drives or sharing fascinating insights about the wildlife and landscapes.
