Very helpful.
5/5

I want to start this review by saying we had the most incredible and unforgettable experience ever!
Anitha our tour operator was amazing from the beginning. I sent an email via Golden Trip Tanzania’s website and Anitha was in touch incredibly quickly. She asked many questions of what we’d like to do, how long for.. all the right questions you’d like to be asked before booking a safari. She then created several itineraries so we could see several options. We decided we liked the 3 day safari first day in Tarangire National park, second day Serengeti, third day Ngorongoro Crater all staying at budget campsites. However after discussing the rest of our trip and as we were coming from Dar Es Salaam, We decided to add 2 nights at a summit safari lodge so at the start of our trip we’d be there ready in the morning and then once the safari was over we had somewhere to stay that night as travelling to Zanzibar the next day. We also included our flight to Zanzibar in this package deal. Anitha also created an itinerary included Zanzibar for us however we decided to not accept this as my partners dad is from Tanzania and was meeting us in Zanzibar and we didn’t want a strict schedule. A couple of days prior to the safari we were told that our safari journey was going to be changed as a a lack of animals were being seen in the Tarangire national park and therefore were going to have 2 days in the Serengeti and one day at the crater which was fine with us so be prepared for some flexibility which we were fine with.
Upon arrival in Arusha we were picked up by a driver and Anitha who greeted us and took us to the lodge where we checked in and sorted final payments out with Anitha which was absolutely fine, we decided to pay by the 90% left to pay on card and there were a few issues with the card machine so we ended up just doing it by transfer which was all fine with us!
The stay at summit safari lodge was amazing, we arrived quite late and dinner was nearly over however the lady let us order off the menu rather than eating what was left of the buffet which was incredibly kind as we were more than happy to just have what was left as we were tired after a long day.
We were picked up around 7:40 the first morning despite being told 7am which we a little worried about by got reassured the driver was on his way as he was! We both had big hard shell suitcases with us as we told these will be fine to bring with us on the safari however we decided to condense it down just to 1 as it would be silly bringing all our clothes with us just for a couple of day, we left 1 case at the lodge as we were coming back. We were told we would be able to take both cases but we didn’t anyway. On pick up our driver told us we could not take the big case as there would be no room however we had no option so he managed to fit it in. Our first day we spent driving through Ngorongoro national park, stopping at a site for lunch and continuing through to the central Serengeti, it was a long day of just straight driving however it was all so worth it, we stopped a couple of time to view some animals but we all understood it was important to make it to our campsite before dark to set up the tents. Anitha checked in with us via WhatsApp regularly throughout the safari which was nice. The next day was a day of game driving which was the most incredible day ever, we saw everything you could imagine and our driver ibriham went above and beyond and honestly created the experience for us along side the other people in our car- they were a group of people from Spain and just us two so there was 7 of us all together and the driver, we could not of asked for a better group of people to have spent the 3 days with. Ibriham’s driving through the unpathed roads etc made us all feel very safe and was very professional, he was driving for 3 days straight and not once did we feel unsafe. The third day we went to the Ngorongoro Crater and the drive down to the crater was a steep 600 meters down and he was just absolutely incredible ensuring our safety was top priority. He always stopped at anything we wished for and all the entrance signs etc for photo opportunities and toilet breaks. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions we had regarding animals, landscape, the Maasai, absolutely anything we had a question about he knew the answer.
We arrived back at our lodge around 7pm on the last day which we there tipped Ibriham for his time and knowledge which he was extremely grateful for.
On the day of our flight to Zanzibar I doubled checked the flight time with Anitha as our itinerary said 14:30 however a copy of our tickets said 17:30. She said when booking our flights the 14:30 flight was no longer available which was a little annoying as we didn’t realise we would be arriving in Zanzibar later than expected but we just accepted for what it was and we’re kind of grateful for a chilled day at the lodge which we were able to stay in the room and didn’t have to check out by a certain time. We were told we were going to be picked up before 4pm for our flight which we thought was cutting it fine but again just went with it as who enjoys sitting in an airport anyway. It was then 4.10pm and no driver was there so reception called our tour operator and she said a driver was on his way and we wouldn’t miss our flight. 4:30pm and our driver arrived at this point we were stressed about missing our flight. We arrived at the airport with 35 minutes till take off but Arusha being a small airport we went straight through and thankfully didn’t miss our flight. Overall we had the most incredible experience my only advice would be to ensure you check absolutely everything before your trip as there can be a little bit of miss communication and make sure you can be a little flexible and open to option etc and if things change they aren’t always for the worse! We could not have asked for a better time but Ibriham and the people in our safari car really did make the experience that little bit more special for us. Thank you Anitha, Ibriham, the chefs and the camps and the people we met on this safari, you were all amazing.

An Incredible Safari Experience with a Knowledgeable Guide and Excellent Support Team
5/5

I recently returned from a solo private safari and had a truly memorable experience. From the abundant wildlife — including all of the Big Five — to the thoughtful logistics and expert guiding, the trip exceeded expectations in all the right ways.

My guide, Dan, was outstanding. His passion for the safari experience really came through every day. With his sharp instincts and deep knowledge of animal behavior, he consistently made great calls about when to linger at a sighting and when to move on — often leading to even better encounters just ahead. Thanks to Dan’s skill and intuition, I had some unforgettable moments in the bush that I’ll be talking about for a long time.

I also want to give a big thanks to Boniphace, who handled my bookings and logistics. He was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the planning process, making sure everything came together smoothly. Even when I had an issue with a flight that wasn’t booked through them, the office staff still stepped in to help resolve it — which I really appreciated.

While no trip is without the occasional hiccup, the level of care, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm from everyone I worked with made all the difference. This was a special journey, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this team to anyone looking for an exceptional safari experience.

Incredible. Highly recommended.
5/5

Exceeded our expectations. We did a customized tour with 3 nights in Serengeti. Leticia was super helpful with itinerary design and pre-departure checklist. Dan, our guide, made the trip incredible. We saw everything we hoped for—except the rhino, which is understandably harder to spot—but we did catch the wildebeest migration, a cheetah enjoying its meal, and lions mating. Dan knows every trail in the park, and we never had to worry about what’s next, there was always something along the way that amazed us.

Amazing 4-Day Safari – Highly Recommend Golden Trips Safari
5/5

We did the 4-day, 3-night budget safari with Golden Trips Safari, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish!

Our guide and driver, Joseph, truly made the trip unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, always sharing interesting facts and insights about the wildlife and the parks. On top of that, he was kind, professional, and genuinely lovely to be around – we couldn’t have asked for a better guide!

Our cook was also an inspiring woman who impressed us every day with delicious meals, despite being out in the bush. The food was fresh, varied, and full of flavor — a real highlight of the trip.

There was a small issue with transportation back to our hotel initially, but both Joseph and the company acted quickly to resolve it, which we really appreciated. Their responsiveness showed a true commitment to customer care.

We highly recommend Golden Trips Safari for anyone looking for an authentic, well-organized, and welcoming safari experience. Thank you again for such a memorable adventure!

Trustworthy
5/5

Gasper is very reliable. He is a Wikipedia of Serengeti! Not only he has all the knowledge of animals, his driving skills is super! He has rescued 2 cars during our 3 day safari. Can you imagine how terrible if your safari car got trapped on the road and you spent time waiting and fixing it? It happened often to other tours but Gasper would never have that problem! Our tour has been worry free, sit back, relax and taking lots of animal pictures! We saw great migration several times in ONE day! Highly recommend Gasper!

Unforgettable Safari in Serengeti – Highly Recommend Dan!
5/5

We had an absolutely unforgettable safari experience in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, and our guide and driver, Dan, played a huge role in making it so special.

Dan is a highly experienced driver with excellent driving skills — always calm, confident, and in control, even on the roughest roads. On top of that, he has a wonderful sense of humor and a warm, engaging personality that made every moment enjoyable.

What truly sets Dan apart is his deep knowledge of wildlife and his incredible ability to spot animals, even from a distance. He explained animal behaviors in great detail and was always happy to adjust the itinerary based on our interests. He really paid attention to what we wanted and went out of his way to make sure we had the best possible sightings.

Over the course of our safari, we saw an amazing variety of animals — especially lions, which was a highlight for us. Thanks to Dan’s sharp eye and expertise, we got to witness some once-in-a-lifetime moments.

This trip was everything we hoped for and more. I would highly recommend this company — and especially Dan — to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania. You won’t be disappointed!

A Trip of a Lifetime with Golden Trips Tanzania – Unforgettable and Seamless!
5/5

My 70-year-old mother and I recently experienced a private safari organized by Golden Trips Tanzania, and I can say with full confidence that it was one of the most unforgettable and well-executed experiences we've ever had.

From the start, Anitha, our trip coordinator, demonstrated exceptional customer service. She was friendly, incredibly responsive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Over the course of planning, we went through nine revisions to fine-tune every detail—and every single change was handled quickly and with patience. Just days before our departure, I was unexpectedly hospitalized for nine days. During that stressful time, Anitha continued to check in with genuine care and compassion. When it came time to reschedule the entire trip, it was completely seamless, with no hassle or extra stress. That level of support meant the world to us.

The actual safari portion of our trip exceeded every expectation, thanks largely to Gaspar, our guide for the mainland portion. Gaspar is an expert in the Serengeti—his knowledge of the land, wildlife behavior, and even the smallest backroads is extraordinary. Within just hours of starting our game drive, he had already tracked down four of the Big Five, including three leopards and multiple groups of lions. His ability to spot animals from great distances was unbelievable. But beyond his expertise, what stood out most was his care—he drove safely and respectfully, ensuring my elderly mother was always comfortable throughout the journey.

The itinerary offered by Golden Trips Tanzania—Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, and finishing with a relaxing Zanzibar beach stay—was the perfect balance of adventure and tranquility. The accommodations and logistics were smooth and well-planned at every stage.Golden Trips Tanzania delivered a personalized, heartfelt experience that catered beautifully to both adventure and accessibility needs. If you're considering a safari and want top-notch professionalism with a deeply human touch, this is the team to trust.

Five stars all around—thank you, Anitha and Gaspar, for making our dream safari a reality!
