Our 3-day safari with Savannah Explorers was absolutely unforgettable — and that’s all thanks to the one and only Jackson, our guide. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a better person to lead us through the wild beauty of Tanzania.
From the moment we met Jackson, he made us feel completely taken care of. He was constantly checking in to make sure we were okay, comfortable, and enjoying every moment. His knowledge of the wildlife, landscapes, and culture is unmatched — it felt like we had a walking encyclopedia and a close friend in the same person.
Jackson made it his mission to make sure we saw every animal on our list — and somehow, we did! Lions, elephants, rhino… you name it, we saw it. His experience and instincts are just on another level. He always knew where to go, when to wait, and how to get us the best views without ever disturbing the animals.
Beyond his knowledge and skill, Jackson is simply an incredible human being. He’s kind, funny, selfless, and always calm. He’s also a phenomenal driver — we always felt completely safe, even on the bumpiest terrain. There was never a moment we didn’t feel secure or cared for.
The vehicle was also super nice. Lots of room even for a lot of people. Plenty of places to look out and see the animals.
This was the best trip of our lives, and a huge part of that is because of Jackson. If you’re booking with Savannah Explorers (which you absolutely should), request Jackson. You will be SO glad you did. We wouldn’t do another safari without him!

The Safari or dreams
We went on safari with Savannah in July and it was an incredible experience, all thanks mainly to our guide Emanuel.
From the moment we arrived at the airport until our departure, he followed us step by step, fulfilling all our requests, giving us thorough explanations and answering all our questions, all this using excellent Italian.
Emanuel is kind, knowledgeable, helpful and very nice, he was definitely an added value on this trip. He also always took good care of the jeep, cleaning it every evening after the day spent on Safari.
We visited three parks: the Ngorongoro crater, the Tarangire and the serengeti. The last two personally are the ones we enjoyed the most. The evening before we decided with Emanuel on the departure time, and in this respect too he was extremely flexible.
In the parks he tried to show us as many animals as possible, so much so that we even managed to see a leopard. Furthermore, my daughter wanted to have a face-to-face with a giraffe and Emanuel managed to please her thanks to a giraffe that was eating by the roadside.
In addition, during the safari days he always took care of the packed lunch, drinks and everything else that was needed.
The lodges were very nice and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and in this respect too we were extremely satisfied.
On the way back from the airport we wanted to do some shopping and eat red bananas and Emanuel accommodated us in this too.
Having said that, we would like to say a huge thank you to Emanuel for making this a unique experience, and we would recommend him to anyone planning to go on safari in Tanzania.

Samwel was our driver and he was absolutely fantastic
We came across Savannah Explorers on Safaribooking.com. We wanted to do a trip that combined both a safari and a few days in Zanzibar. Savannah Explorers were able to accommodate both. Both our booking contact and driver (both Samwel) were absolutely super. Nothing was ever too much hassle. Our accommodation was a mix of lodges and tented camps whilst on safari and both were perfect. Samwel brought us around to see lions, rhinos, giraffes, elephants, the wildebeast migration - the works! His knowledge of all of the wildlife, plants local culture and history was fantastic. We had an unforgettable 3-day Safari experience. The parks we visited are truly unique, and the places where we stayed are immersed in nature, offering a deep sense of peace. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Our guide, Tarta, was always there for us—he made sure we never lacked anything and greatly enriched our experience. He told us not only in detail about the animals we encountered but also about the lives of the local people living in the villages.
