Prepared a wonderful itinerary, highly organised, with extremely knowledgeable and engaging guides
Our Camptrek Safari through Kenya and Tanzania provided so many wonderful sights and experiences that will stay with us forever. From elephants mating and Kilimanjaro at Amboseli NP, to close up rhino's at Lake Nakuru, to the lions and feasting hyena's in the Masai Mara, to witnessing the extraordinary wildebeest great migration in the Serengeti, along to the spectacular Ngorongoro crater, and then finally to Zanzibar and the magical Stone Town. What a trip!!
Our guides Pilipili (Kenya) and Eliud (Tanzania) were not only really knowledgeable but also very engaging and great company.
The optional hot air balloon ride in the Serengeti was great although we were hoping the balloon would have gone to higher elevations. The walking tour in Stone Town was fascinating and although the spice plantation tour in Zanzibar was interesting the constant pressure to put your hand in your pocket got tiresome. The lodge accommodation throughout the safari was brilliant.
We highly recommend Camptrek Safaris - enjoy your adventure!

simply "MAL D'AFRICA" ("longing for Africa")
Title express completely our feeling (myself and my son) after this experience.
We felt (and we're still feeling) a deep emotional connection and desire to experience (back) the continent of Africa, its culture, and its landscapes.
It think it's linked to a variety of factors: personal experiences, cultural heritage, romanticized view of Africa.
An intense and profound nostalgia felt during and after our jurney and wish to return.
it's an emotional and spiritual feeling, difficult to explain clearly:
- a strong desire to return to the places visited, to relive the emotions felt and to immerse oneself again in African culture.
- a sense of inadequacy and impatience in resuming our daily routine after having lived the African experience
- images, colours, sounds and smells of Africa suddenly resurface, creating a sense of nostalgia and desire.
ALL the above is absolutely linked, inextricablyis to our Camptrek Safari team, our "guardian angels", Augustine and Last.
They were just perfect in every respect, professional, empathy, knowledge of the populations, animals, history and parks: I really do not know how many questions, experiences... and also jokes we've shared with them.
I will never forget the moments of great emotion that I saw my son experience, on his faces, his eyes, his tears: all of this will remain with us forever, in our memories (or better... until next adventures with them! :-))
We would like to thank Petite Margaret as well: she's been simply perfect in guide us at the time of drawing the jurney (10 days: Mombasa - Tsavo East - Amboseli - Tsavo West - Taita Hills - Diani Beach - Mombasa) and supporting us for any kind of info/doubts/also fears we faced during the booking.
CAMPTREK GUYS: THANKS FOR ALL and... AFRICA IS A FEELING, YES!

Professional operator with excellent guides
We are a group of 4 adults with a relatively complicated itinerary - 11 days to travel from Kenya to Tanzania and back to Kenya again. Before our first trip to East Africa, we reached out to 5-6 highly rated operators on Safaribooking.com - Camptrek Safaris stood out with its prompt responses, attention to our needs and clear itinerary with visualization (some operators only provided us with a table in an email).
Rose, our customer rep, is very responsive/efficient and helped us to finalize all the details within a few days while some operators only reply to our message once a day. She managed to secure all of our hotels with all booking vouchers in place soon after the deposit was made. She made sure that our whole trip was smooth from the start to the end given we need to change guides / cars when travelling from Kenya to Tanzania and back to Kenya.
The trip wouldn't be the same without our amazing guides who are very professional and experienced:
Ben (Kenya): his eagle eyes spotted so many animals from far distance - rhinos, cheetahs, lions etc. We saw more than 5 rhinos on our first day with one of the rhinos being super close - he made seeing rhinos seem so easy when it is one of the hardest to see. He is easygoing and passionate about giving us the best experience
Richard (Tanzania): Richard managed to help us capture so many magical moments / close encounters with cheetahs, leopards and lions. He is very knowledgeable and patient, explaining the animal behaviors, background about the national parks and taking care of us through our adventure in Tanzania
Eric (Kenya): it's not easy being the guide for the last part of our trip given we have seen all of the Big 5. Eric communicated effectively and understood our needs - with his magic, we managed to have a clear view of Mt Kilimanjaro for 2hrs and saw some hunting attempts by the lions in Amboseli
I'd definitely recommend Camptrek Safaris - the trip went smoothly and exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to more adventures with Camptrek!

Excellent choice - Thank you Camptrek Safaris
Me and my 2 sons did the '8 Days Mt Kilimanjaro Meets Masai Mara' Private Safari with Camptrek last January. Everything went so well and itenary was perfect. Very happy with the accommodations and service we received. Eric is the perfect driver-guide with full of knowledge and driving skills.
We came back home with unforgettable memories and so many epic photos.
John and Margaret are already getting an itenary ready for next February. This time it will be for me, wife and grandson.

Everything was just as wonderful as the reviews said.
We chose Camptrek Safaris at first because it was recommended by a friend, and it also had great reviews online. While discussing our itinerary, Rose, the coordinator, was very willing to help us make adjustments. Everything we wanted to do was perfectly arranged by her.
Once we arrived in Kenya, the team at the agency took care of everything, allowing us to start our journey smoothly and comfortably. Throughout the trip, our driver Ben took excellent care of us. Although the drives were long, he always made sure we had enough time to rest and provided plenty of water. The vehicle was new and clean, and even with six of us in one car, it was still very comfortable. We especially appreciated that Ben cleaned the car every day — we really liked that detail.
During the trip, Rose continued to check in on us regularly, so we never had to worry about anything and could simply enjoy the safari experience.
We are truly grateful to Camptrek Safaris for their thoughtful arrangements in helping us fulfill our dream trip to Kenya. Highly recommended!

Completely professional and made us feel like family!
I contacted many different Safari companies for quotes and Camptrek with Margaret was the most quick, professional, and thorough in their responses from the very beginning while also being extremely reasonably priced. Margaret worked with me throughout and arranged a safari with the exact dates I wanted and time in each place, minimizing travel since I was traveling with my older parents.
Every lodge and activity that Camptrek arranged for us was absolutely superb.
The lodges were all world class, with animals free roaming on the grounds and delicious food throughout.
My father was sick for a few days in between and the lodges were so accommodating about making him food that was easier on his stomach, delivering it to our rooms, and letting us leave later in the day, and being more than willing to have a physician come in to see him if we had wanted.
Our guide and driver Eric met us as the airport and dropped us back when our safari finished. He treated us better than family. When my mom had difficulty getting in and out of the high Jeep he went searching the small town outside our lodge to get a step stool for her to get in and out of the jeep. When my father got sick he took me from pharmacy to pharmacy searching for all the meds I had wanted. His eagle eye for spotting animals and his patience made our safari outing a joy where we saw every animal in the big 5 multiple times over.
Eric was funny, engaged, and full of facts about all the animals. He was willing to accommodate our every request and went out of his way to make us comfortable throughout.
I could not recommend Camptrek enough! They were true professionals and made sure we were looked after every moment of our time in Kenya.

They are the best.
I had a 12 day individual safari with Camptrek to Kenya and Tanzania including Zanzibar. It exceeded my expectations. Lucy is an excellent planner, and my drivers were also excellent: Benson, Goodluck, and Sahel. I saw elephants, lions, rhinos, buffaloes, girafes, zebras, baboons, monkeys, cheetahs, hippos, a leopard, and much more. I highly recommend this company.

A high-quality and professional safari tour operator known for its friendly service and punctuality
We booked a one-day trip to Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha, and it was a truly memorable experience. Our tour guide, Mr. John, was incredibly friendly, punctual, and professional—especially during the game drive. Thanks to his excellent communication with fellow guides, he was able to take us to see almost all the animals in Nakuru, including giraffes, zebras, buffalos, lions, flamingos, various birds, warthogs, and baboons. We were especially lucky to encounter a group of lions up close. At Lake Naivasha, he connected us with a local tour operator who was equally professional and knowledgeable. We learned so much throughout the day and even had the unforgettable experience of walking just 2–3 meters away from giraffes and zebras. Highly recommended!

Good job and amazing results
We had 2-day safari experience with CampTrek Safaris in May 2025. Initially I found them on safaribookings.com. Our guide was Robert, the program, starting and finishing in Nairobi, included 2 game drives in Lake Nakuru NP (with 1 night in the lodge) and boat trip/walking safari at Lake Naivasha. All CampTrek Safaris team involved were quite professional, accurate and attentive. As a result of their efforts and high competence we have got well-arranged fantastic joarney and had fabulous sights of Big-5 (except for elephants, unavailable in Nakuru) and much more! Thus it is definitely perfect choice in quality/value and can strongly recommend CampTrek Safaris and guide Robert personally for your safari in Kenya.

They are professional, respond quickly, are smart and flexible, and can get good hotel discounts.
First of all, the service response of this company is very prompt. Any demands or questions will be replied to quickly.
Secondly, booking hotels through this company offers a good negotiated price, which is much more cost - effective than booking directly by oneself.
Thirdly, the guides arranged for us have good eyesight and rich experience. Here, I would like to give special praise to Mr Goodluck 【50 years old】in the Serengeti savannah. He not only has sharp eyesight and can easily spot lions and cheetahs more than a kilometer away, but also has extensive knowledge and can tell you about related animals, the environment, history, etc. If 5 stars is the rating for a perfect guide, I would give him 6 stars and highly recommend him!!!
When choosing Camptrek, we also contacted 4 other agencies. Camptrek and another one had the most favorable prices, but the response speed of the other one was relatively slow, so we chose Camptrek.
During the negotiation with Camptrek, we changed the hotel we wanted to stay in. Camptrek tried its best to quickly confirm with the hotel, promptly agreed to our requests and provided a quotation in real - time.
Overall, our 13 - day and 12 - night itinerary was relatively customized. Camptrek provided us with a very good service experience in terms of price, experience, and communication. If you plan to travel to Kenya [Masai Mara National Park], Tanzania [Serengeti savannah, Zanzibar Island] in the future, I suggest you consult Camptrek. I think they should be able to provide you with a satisfactory service.
