Everything was organised perfectly, starting from airport pick up to airport drop off. The itinerary was followed exactly as promised during booking the tour. The accommodation in the Bush camps were of high standards.
In short, a fantastic trip with very good value for money.

The safari tour was an unforgettable experience. Our guide was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and considerate, providing detailed explanations about every animal we saw. Thanks to him, we spotted a wide range of wildlife and learned so much.

The accommodations were comfortable and well-located, and the itinerary was smooth and well-organized. Everything was planned with care, making the trip both relaxing and exciting. Highly recommended!

Had a great experience with Meru slopes. Everything worked smoothly from start to finish. We were well taken care of by our guide Francis who made us feel safe throughout!
Communication, food, and overnight stays were all excellent. We learned and saw a lot. Value for money is good and the tour lived up to our high expectations. Thank you Jerome, Francis and team - you made us feel at home in Tanzania!

Best Tanzania Safari Tour and Guide way beyond and above expectation at reasonable price
5/5

We had a 10 day safari in Tanzania in July 2025 with Meru Slope and their best guide Nuru. It was for the Great Migration in Serengeti NP and also Ngorongoro NP, Manyara, Tarangeri NP. We had a most wonderful time and the trip was way beyond our expectation in everyway - sighting of animals, accomodation, food, transport and especially our guide Nuru who took such great care of us. He also knew the parks so well especially Serengeti that he could chase down the great migration and put our jeep right in between. He also able to get the best positions for us to take copius photos of lions, lepords, cheetas, elephants, giraffe, hippos, etc, etc. Nuru also took care of our every needs even washing the Jeep everyday, covering up our luggage with cloth, stuffing with cold drinks, finding toilets when we need them etc. Top it all, Nuru knows and love animals so he can find them and educate us.
We are two elderly couples from Singapore and Africa Safari is a dream trip. we however do not want to join a tour from Singapore which will costs us triple yet not see as much. we want to make sure we the great migration. We did alot of online research and Safaribookings.com is very helpful. We got a few quotes from a few operators. Meru Slope responded immediately and was able to work with us to change the itinerary to meet our dates and requirements. Meru Slope price was surprising very reasonable compared to other quotes. We were worried about their quality but they get top reviews so we decided to go with them. They only asked for 25% deposit and the balance only collect when we arrive and meet up in tanzania. They picked us up on first day at Arusha airport and sent us back to airport on final day. no hassle for us at all. while we booked a midrange Migration Tour, our accomodations were superb with lodges outside serengeti and delux camp (Clamping) in Serengeti. Food was great and we had hot lunch everyday. We met a Norwegian family in Meru Slop Jeeps while having pinic lunch in the Serengeti, we asked them why they chose Meru Slope. They said they read their good reviews but also their children have Tanzania friends and they recommended Meru Slope which is a local Company. We learn that Meru Slope name as the founder owner is from the tribe living on the slope of Mount Meru. Other Safari Operator has much more attractive and fancy names but we highly recommend Meru Slope.

AMAZING TRIP! 10/10
5/5

We just finished our 6-day safari with Meru Slopes and we’re honestly so sad it’s over. It was truly a once in a lifetime experiance and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing guide, Florian and Gift.

We booked the safari through Gift Tembo, and everything was incredibly smooth and friendly from the very beginning. All of our special requests were taken care of with such thoughtfulness – including a surprise birthday celebration that turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of the whole trip.

The airport transfers were perfectly organized and on time.

Every accommodation recommended to us was absolutely beautiful, clean, safe, and full of warm, welcoming people.

And then there’s Florian – our amazing guide. He made sure we felt comfortable at all times and went above and beyond to fulfill every wish we had. He found the best photo spots while always keeping everyone’s safety in mind – both ours and that of other travelers.

All in all, it was a 10/10 experience. We felt supported and cared for every step of the way.

We’ve already recommended Meru Slopes to friends and family – and we absolutely can’t wait for our next safari with them!

Asante sana! 🧡

Great safari tour!
5/5

We had an amazing safari with Meru Slopes! Everything was perfectly arranged by Shadrack, including the market, the walks, and the coffee roasting, which was a nice change of pace! Julius, our guide, was always cheerful and had a wealth of knowledge about the flora and fauna. Herman also told us a lot about life in Tanzania. We have great respect for your dedication. But Nathan and Dennis also made it an unforgettable vacation for us! Julius arranged Wi-Fi and Herman arranged boots for us. We were one big family! Thank you very much and God's love and blessings to you all! The Boonstra family from the Netherlands

Excellent Professional organisation
5/5

We have just returned from a wonderful safari in Tanzania with this company. I cannot recommend them highly enough. The communication is excellent and Gift organised an amazing tour. Our guide was Nuru. He was a great guide and travel companion and he has so
Much knowledge about the animals and bird life in the area. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. We opted for the mid range safari and the bush camps were fantastic. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The food was excellent. There is plenty of choice. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Meru Slopes. Book a safari with this local travel company and ask for Nuru!

Thank you for the very special trip!
5/5

Me and my two friends travelled to Tanzania in July 2025 and decided to do a Safari. After internet research we booked our 7 days group-camping safari with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris. The organisation before the start of the safari was super easy and our sales man Jerome was very kind.

We enjoyed our safari so much and it was a unforgetable trip. We went to different national parks (Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Serengeti) and it was stunning.

At the beginning we had a few teething problems because our luggage got lost at the airport. As our trip started with the safari, it was very inconvenient that we had no luggage as we didn't have all our essentials with us. Meru Slopes helped us a lot and arranged for us to be picked up at the airport. Our luggage was even taken to the Serengeti National Park, for which we were very grateful.

We always felt safe and in good hands with our driver Lobulo. He not only drove us through the various national parks, but also always gave us good background information about the animals/the parks and answered all our questions.

During our safari we were always very well provided with food and drink. Our cook Buga was the best! We had a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Drinks were always sufficiently available and could be taken independently.

All in all, we were very satisfied with our safari, the organization and the process. We can highly recommend Meru Slopes.

A big thank you to Meru Slopes and especially to Lobulo and Buga. You made our trip to Tanzania something very special!

Unforgettable Trip
5/5

The safari trip was an absolutely unforgettable tour. We’ve seen everything that we could ask for. Even the great migration and a rhino. I’d totally recommend booking 7 days in order to get so see all the animals that you want. Our driver, Lobulo, and our chef, Buga, were just the funniest and we had the time of our lives laughing with them. We also got heaps of information about the parks and the animals and learned a lot. All the people in the camp really try to make you feel at home and help you out any time. Personally, we loved the camp sites in the wilderness as it was a very authentic and extraordinary way of connecting with the park and nature.
We even lost our luggage a few days before we made the safari and they flew it into Serengeti National Park and drove it to our campsite eventhough it was quite remote.
According to my research thats the best value for your money if your looking for a budget safari and are only interested in the animals and not so much in staying in fancy lodges.
The communication was always very easy and reliable.
Thanks so much for having us Meru Slopes. Until next time x
