Porcupine Expeditions were the best company we could have chosen for our safari experience. It was very much a family feel, with Anna and Juliana giving us the most attention and care to ensure we were ok.

When I started to research for booking safari at Serengeti, I found out Porcupine Expeditions and right from my first email inquiry to Anna until we departed from Arusha the experience has been so amazing. Was so easy to deal with Anna and her family who treated us like their family members and fed some tasty food. Aside that the booking on safari and whole experience to deal with the team has been awesome. Would love to visit again and highly recommended to book Porcupine Expeditions for your next Tanzania adventure. Special thanks to wonderful daughters of Anna who were so welcoming and hospitable towards us.

We had a great safari! Everything ran smoothly, our guide was very experienced and knowledgeable, plus the food made by the chef was wonderful. Anna and her daughter Juliana went above and beyond to welcome us to Tanzania in the days before and after the tour. Would highly recommend!

Incredibly amazing Tour, guide, and experience. Juliana 🫶
We did a 3 days tour into the Safari, Juliane Maxmillian was waiting for us, helped us to get sim cards and got us out of trouble when we were trying to buy out things. She was constantly checking on us and made real my desires of getting braids on and sent me to the correct markets to buy my souvenirs. She was working together to her siblings Nancy and Phillip, the coolest teens in Tanzania. my friends thanks for everything I will miss you! Hakuna Matata

Amazing 5 day Serengeti Safari!
Mamma Anna and Julianna provided the best service always accommodating all of our needs and driving us around Arusha when we needed. The safari was amazing value for money as camping in the Serengeti added a very cool aspect to the experience. Not only were they great our Safari guide Arwar was amazing. With 28+ years of experience (some of that guiding for National Geographic and Animal Planet) he made sure to always put us in the best position and provided valuable information about the animals. 10/10 would recommend!

Porcupine Expeditions provided phenomenal experience for my safari in the Seregheti. Mama Ana and her daughter were available whenever I needed anything, and provided all sorts of restaurant and tour recommendations while in Arusha. The safari itself was amazing, with guide Anwar putting us in the best position possible everyday. The wildlife encounters were amazing (including seeing the big 5). Overall, I suggest that everyone should book with Porcupine for all their Safari needs.

We praice our luck for booking with MamaAnna Mmbaga and Porcupine Expeditions! The price was good, the service exellent, and every little obstacles were taken care of. Every tanzanien involved in the safari took good care of us, and were most friendly. The driver on the safari was knowledged and told us a lot about what we saw, hos animals live, and the whole ecology in Tangerine, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We thank them all for making this an experience of our life! For me as a women of soon 70, I am most grateful for all help.

Perfect and professional support
We just wrapped up our 5-day safari, and honestly, everything was amazing. Ana and her daughters planned it all with such care, professionalism, and a super high level of service — right from the moment we landed at the airport until the moment we left. Every single lodge and tented camp lived up to (and even went beyond) our high expectations.
The nights we spent in a tent in the Serengeti were something else — a totally immersive, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
And we can’t forget our guide — he was incredible! Super knowledgeable, answered every single question we had and always added extra info about the animals, the ecosystem, and the local tribes.
We had a small issue with the payment at the beginning, but they trusted us and let us start the trip anyway while we sorted it out on the go — that really says a lot about the kind of people they are.
They welcomed us and truly made us feel like part of Mama Ana’s family. We 100% recommend this amazing agency to anyone thinking of going on safari!

The owner is a beautiful and kind-hearted lady.
I went on a safari in Tanzania and booked with this travel agency. When our flight arrived that night, it was already 2 a.m., but the agency’s owner personally came to the airport to pick us up. He was extremely warm and welcoming—helping us with our luggage and introducing us to the local culture and customs. We immediately felt at ease.
The next day, after breakfast, we set off on our safari. Though the journey was a bit tiring, it was incredibly enjoyable. The agency’s driver was very responsible, making sure we saw as many animals as possible. After the safari, we returned to Arusha. We were about to book a hotel, but the owner kindly offered us free accommodation, dinner, and breakfast the next morning. The following day, he even took us to a local African art gallery to experience the culture, accompanying us the entire time until he dropped us off at the airport.
This is an excellent travel agency with an incredibly kind owner. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend them!"

They are very serious, friendly, responsible and professional. Choosing them is my proudest decision. We arrived at the airport at 2 am, and they were waiting for us in two cars. They are also very patient. 2. The five-day safair trip was very reasonable, and the driver was very friendly and professional, which allowed us to find many animals. And will carry our luggage, protect our safety, try our best to help us find animals, and be patient. 3. The boss pays great attention to our experience: he will ask me how I played every day. Tell them all the problems and they will help us solve them. Of course, the most touching thing is that after the trip, they also provided extra hotel accommodation and provided breakfast and lunch. On the last day, the boss took us to the art gallery and the market for free. Take us to the airport. We play and sing happily. The boss is very friendly and kind.
