From our experience,avoid this company
1/5

Only now, when I was about to leave a review, I noticed that several reviews were from locals with a single review, and several others complained about the same experience we had.
Furthermore, the photos weren't actually taken, but were taken online.

In summary, we had a terrible experience and I would advise everyone against using this agency. I've also reported them to the Italian consulate for their utter dishonesty.

I contacted them for a quote, and they responded very kindly and offered me a solution.
I asked if it was possible to make some changes since it was a private tour.

Everything was accepted.
The initial tour includes 8 days and 7 nights at a cost of $4,995:
- Airport transfers, accommodation and meals only
- Tarangire National Park, accommodation and meals
- Serengeti National Park, accommodation and meals
- Central Serengeti National Park, accommodation and meals
- Ngorongoro Crater, accommodation and meals
- Lake Manyara National Park, accommodation and meals
- Materuni Waterfall, accommodation and meals
- Airport transfer

I decide to modify the itinerary based on my needs by booking the initial and final accommodations and two intermediate ones myself, after asking them for confirmation. The program is modified so that I can do a one-day light trek on Kilimanjaro and have more time for the Serengeti: therefore, 6 days and 2 nights are at their expense.
The final program will be as follows:
- Mount Kilimanjaro Trek
- Tarangire National Park, accommodations and meals
- Serengeti National Park, meals
- Central Serengeti National Park, meals
- Serengeti National Park, accommodations and meals
- Ngorongoro Crater, meals

You'd think the total would decrease, right?
But no, because I'm told the initial offer remains the same (so they're already making money on the four nights I won't be using) and all additional expenses are my own.
New total requested $5,870, as you can see from the attached images.
Almost $1,000 for the changes.
The program still mentions full days spent in the various parks.
Initially, I try to negotiate, but given the limited availability, I decide to let it go and insist that everything go smoothly because it's the vacation of a lifetime...
Everything was fine on the first day, but already on the second day, the surprises began:
- rooms in the second day's accommodation had mold-covered walls and unbreathable air (and we thought it was a mix-up that led to our amicable termination)
- they didn't pay the accommodation fees, causing us to be in trouble because they had to pay them at the park entrance, but we never went to the register (read what's listed as included in their offer, and in any case, they specifically asked me for the money to pay them)
- they said, despite it being stated in the contract, that for the days we had the accommodations, no meals were included, despite it being stated in the contract and no one having notified us.
- to earn about $400 more, they forced us to get up between 5 and 6 for two consecutive days, because by compressing our hours, they saved themselves from paying for a day of access to the Serengeti.

Let's just say we spent the third day pissed off, having found the manager to be a total pain.
On our last day in the Serengeti, in particular, we spent three hours at the park gate arguing about the fact that we had paid for an extra day to stay there (about $1,000), and at 9:45 they were taking us out.
Truly embarrassing.
The only positive note was the truly exceptional guides, especially Samwel!

What more can I say? Avoid them completely.

The tour operator know what they are doing and are highly reliable. My guide was the best!
5/5

Moria Safari were very good with providing me several alternatives for the safari. I did a 6 day wildebeest migration safari with 3 days in Serengeti, 1 day in Ngorongoro Crater, 1 day in Tarangire and 1 day in Lake Manyara. Jessica from Moria Safari coordinated my tour and she was very quick to response. My guide Elly was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, witty, humorous and funny. He was extremely reliable with driving and sighting animals. We were fortunate enough to see the wildebeest migration, lion guarding his kill, lion mating, leopard, cheetah, elephants, hyenas, ostriches, several types of eagles, hippos, hyenas just to name a few. In terms of wildlife sighting its not just the animals you see, you actually get to observe the whole story or dynamics of the situation. For instance, several hundreds of thousands of Wildebeests thinking whether to cross the river, and then a brave one crosses the river and the whole herd follows - herd mentality. And then you see how the crocodiles spring into action! Also, this safari was great for me as a solo traveller and my other 6 team mates were also avid wildlife enthusiasts helping us align well on our goals.

Despite all the positives, there are always things to improve or to be aware of and following are those:
- my window glass was jammed, it opened very little. Despite putting oil it didn’t improve a lot. But good thing is you can always stand up and view from the top if you are inside the Park. If outside the park or your teammates are unwilling to open the roof, you are stuck with the tiny opening in your window
- for the camping which was 3 nights, only cold water is available
- for food, there was only one vegetarian option for lunches. dinners were better with more vegetarian options. breakfast for me was usually crepes
- the refrigerator in the car was not working
- the roads between national parks (even outside of the park) are rough and very bumpy, our guide would call it african massage, be prepared to get some free African massage in these long drives!
- It also gets very dusty and there is no AC inside which means you will end up cracking open the window, better get face masks
- The vehicle typically will get flat at least once in your 6 day safari because of how rough the road is.

Overall, the people of Tanzania are very warm and hospitable, hakuna matata!!

Great Safari experience with Moria
5/5

The safar with Moria was so great. Since the begining they adapted to my preferences in visiting different national parks. Driver and guide was very good, spotted the big five, accomodation, food, all was perfect. Also they helped me in get accommodation for the last night when they were not supposed to. Thanks a lot to Joshua for keeping constantly in touch and taking care of all.

Safari in Seregenti and Ngorongoro
5/5

The safari was absolutely spectacular! From start to finish, Steven took care of us in every single moment and made sure we experienced everything to the fullest. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make the journey unforgettable. Thanks to him, we felt safe, comfortable, and truly immersed in the adventure.
David, the chef, was also amazing—he treated us with so much kindness and prepared delicious meals that made the whole experience even more special. Having such warm and professional people around us really elevated the trip.
We couldn’t have asked for a better safari, and we 100% recommend doing it with them. It’s an experience we will treasure forever!

Amazing and comfortable tour, nice and better guide
5/5

The guide Steven was so nice and kind, he make feel us like princess and he was very attentive in everything, both in the water, showing us everything we wanted to see, giving us the time we needed to look around or take photos, explaining and informing us about everything we saw. I can’t imagine a better guide than the one we had, and we are grateful for all his effort and patience in helping us make the most of our time. In the end, we saw all the animals we wanted to see, even the difficult ones to find, since David never gave up.

I would also like to thank and acknowledge the great work of David, the chef — the food was amazing and he was always very attentive and kind.

We had a great time with both of them and I highly recommend it.

A Perfectly Planned and Unforgettable Safari Experience
5/5

Our safari with Moria Safaris was an unforgettable experience. The itinerary was perfectly planned, starting gently and building up day by day, culminating in the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. By the time we reached the crater, if you were lucky, you had already spotted all the animals, which allowed the last day to be enjoyed simply for the incredible beauty of the landscapes—a truly fitting way to end the journey.

For such a short safari, including a visit to the northern Serengeti was a remarkable highlight. Very few tours, even longer ones, include this area, and it was an absolute success to reach it and witness the Great Migration—a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle.

Another point worth mentioning is how much the operator cares for their guests, going out of their way to help solve any issues that may arise during the trip, even those not directly related to the safari itself. This level of dedication is rare and deeply appreciated.

Finally, I must highlight the cook, who prepared delicious and abundant meals every day despite the challenging conditions of the journey.

Overall, it was an extraordinary and wonderfully organized adventure that I will never forget.
