Really really good Tour with Amos
We had a wonderful safari, especially because we were lucky to have Amos as our guide. He kept to all agreements, was always on time, is a safe driver, and accommodates every request. He also has extensive knowledge of the animal world and was able to share a great deal with us, so we not only learned about every imaginable animal but also a lot about the animals surrounding them. It was a fantastic time, and we'll do the next safari with Amos again. Highly recommended. Thank you very much.

Richard is a rockstar!
This review is only for Richard’s awesomeness. Before we came for the safari, little did we know how it all works. The experience of a tourist on a safari will be completely dependent on who your driver+guide is and we got the best of the lot, Richard. He is a Masai and knows the area at the back of his hand. He has answers to everything and solutions to every problem. He never rushes when the view is good and always chases the animal routes to get you the best photograph. He is always on time and makes sure you are on time too so that you enjoy your trip to the fullest. We are so happy that our first time in East Africa was made memorable by Richard’s presence. He is great and I cannot recommend him enough!!!

Unforgettable Safari Experience with Richard!
Our journey through Kenya wouldn’t have been the same without Richard. With over 8 years of experience in the safari world, he is not just a guide—he’s a storyteller, wildlife expert, and cultural ambassador.
From the breathtaking plains of Masai Mara, where we witnessed incredible wildlife moments (including a leopard’s failed hunt), to the stunning landscapes of Amboseli with elephants framed against Mt. Kilimanjaro, and the vibrant birdlife of Lake Nakuru, Richard made every stop extraordinary.
What sets him apart is his deep knowledge—not only about the Big Five and countless bird species we saw—but also about the Masai culture and lifestyle. He shared fascinating stories and “secrets” of the Masai way of life, giving us a richer appreciation of the land and its people.
On top of his expertise, Richard’s humor, warmth, and energy kept our group engaged and smiling throughout the trip. He has that rare ability to make every drive and sighting exciting while also making you feel completely safe and cared for.

Professional and accommodating
We went on a 7 day safari, visiting all major parks across the country. I cant say enough good things about the operator, guide and all the camp team at all the locations. They were very hospitable, professional and accommodating. Our guide Kevin took all the headache and made sure that we just focused on enjoying our trip. He was very knowledgeable and managed the time and all aspects of the trip perfectly. Highly highly recommend.

A fantastic experience
Our Maasai Mara your has been a fantastic experience. It was all well organised by Axis and our guide Richard knew the park very well, so he brought us to many secret spots to make the most of the tour.

Excellence
From start to finish, everything super well organised. The vehicle was top notch, water is given to ensure everyone is well hydrated for the exciting adventure. The lodge was all the amenities that are needed in an adventure like this and the food is also perfect.
A huge shout out to Kevin, our driver. Masai Mara has all the animals that everyone dreams to see, but finding some is no easy job, unless you’re Kevin. Always close to best animals and he also managed to place the vehicle in the best place to spot lions, leopards, buffalo’s, etc.
10/10, would repeat again!

The most amazing, unforgettable safari with the best guide Amos
We had the most incredible 8 days on safari and it was an experience we will truly never forget.
First, a huge thank you to Rita, who helped organise everything so seamlessly. From the very beginning she was helpful, patient, and made the whole process smooth and easy. We asked for lodges where we could enjoy views of wildlife right from where we stayed, and she absolutely delivered. Even when we changed our minds a few times (including last minute). She remained so accommodating and always provided great customer service. Most importantly, she paired us with the most amazing safari guide who was the true highlight of our trip.
That brings me to Amos, our safari guide, who we cannot thank enough. From the very first day we felt comfortable with him, like we could ask or talk about absolutely anything. He was not only a safe and reliable driver, but he also went above and beyond to personalise our trip. He even picked up on our love for coffee and would stop at the best little coffee spots on our long drives!
Spending a whole week together could have felt long, but instead the days flew by because of the endless laughter, stories, and conversations we shared. Amos taught us so much about Kenyan culture, history, and wildlife, turning every drive into something special. His knowledge and experience as a guide really shone through and he always seemed to know where to be and what to look for, making sure we never missed out on incredible sightings. One unforgettable moment was when he led us to two male lions in the Masai Mara, and we had them all to ourselves for the first 15 minutes before any other vehicles arrived. Experiences like that were thanks to his skill, patience, and dedication.
By the end of the week, it honestly felt like we had gained a lifelong friend. I know for certain I will never have a better guide than Amos, and I’m already dreaming of planning my next trip with him. He truly made our safari an unforgettable adventure filled with memories we’ll treasure forever.
Over the week, we explored Masai Mara, Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, and Tsavo East. Each destination offering its own magic. From the food to the accommodation, everything exceeded our expectations and ran so smoothly thanks to Rita’s planning and Amos’ care.
To say this trip was special is an understatement it was the perfect mix of adventure and comfort. Thank you, Rita and Amos, for making this safari the trip of a lifetime.

Memorable Kenya Safaris with Excellent Guide but Room Coordination Needs Improvement
We had a wonderful safari experience with Axis Africa Expeditions & Safaris. The communication during booking was smooth and their driver-guide, Livingston, was simply outstanding—very knowledgeable about wildlife and birds, and made our game drives in Masai Mara, Nakuru, and Amboseli truly memorable. The value for money and service during the safari were excellent.
However, we faced an issue with the hotel room in Amboseli. Despite confirming a Mt. Kilimanjaro view room in advance, we were initially given a different room and had to put in extra effort to get what was promised. After a long 8–9 hour road journey, this was quite inconvenient.
Overall, the safari itself was exceptional and I would highly recommend Livingston and Axis Africa for game drives, but better coordination on hotel arrangements would make the experience completely hassle-free.
