Fantastic, helpful, professional company who supplied a fabulous experience. Cannot fault them
5/5

I found it quite difficult to decide whether to book a safari before we travelled to Zanzibar or while we were there. I honestly didn't know how to tell what was genuine as I was getting so many people contacting me via WhatsApp.
Finally we booked one just a couple of days before doing it. I went through safari bookings.com and I received my three quotes very quickly.
We chose to go with Telly Safaris as all communication felt professional, genuine and was always prompt and answered all our questions honestly. Telly were not the cheapest company but they were worth every single penny.
We were picked up on time, at 4.30am for our 1 day safari. Our drivers were fabulous, nothing was a problem even after setting off and my husband thought he had left his phone in the hotel ....we were driven all the way back for it(it was eventually found in his pocket, he's no good at early mornings).
We were escorted in to the check in area of airport and introduced to the staff member dealing with our flight then sat with us while we waited and had a coffee.
The tiny 12 seater plane was just out of this world and not what we had expected.....the flight alone was worth what we paid. It was Great.
On arrival we instantly met Raphael and his super capable driver.
We set of at 8am , had two stops, one for coffee and a bun and a toilet break behind a tree if needed and then again for the most delicious hot food, fresh fruit and ice cold soft drinks and water. Proper toilets are available here.
We safaried until about 10 mins until our flight was due and were still seeing animals around the runway.
We saw elephants, lions, giraffes, zebra, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, warthogs, wildebeest, vultures eating a buffalo carcass, sea fish eagles and many many other types of birds. Also so many different antelopes etc.
Flight back and pick up from airport was equally as well arranged and enjoyed as it was on the way.
We feel so lucky to have been able to get to enjoy such a magnificent, magical day which was further enhanced by the 4 other guests in the safari jeep.
The jeep sat 6 and had no sides, or back so visibility was fantastic.

Highest service, honnesty, fast turnaround
5/5

The most satisfying aspect was the fast turnaround and the ability to clarify the multiple aspects of the logistics.

Secondly our guide/driver was 90% fluent in our native language (French), same for the English (I am bilingual). French was used the most and sometime, english filled the gap. In other words, communication was quick, easy and highly efficient.

IMO the value for money is on par and most likely higher than the other safaris. Note that many safaris start by a day at the hotel...therfore a 5 days is in fact a 4 days safari...smart scam IMAO.

THe only (slightly negative) aspect was about the driving..just wondering. The car was worn and required some attention. The positive side is that it provided us with the opportunity to be closer and interact with people. Last, we wonder if the driving/route can be optimized. Our GPS app provided the actual path we used, seems it can be improved.

All things considered, I would have no hesitation to go on another safari with Telly.

Telly Africa offers personalized, seamless, and unforgettable safari experiences - Recommend to all!
5/5

I cannot recommend Telly Africa highly enough. They are exceptionally professional, competitively priced, and go out of their way to make the entire experience truly special. Our main contact, William, was outstanding—an excellent communicator who was always available to respond to any queries before, during, and even after the trip. From the outset, we felt like valued clients, with every idea, suggestion, and question met with thoughtful consideration.

William and his business partner made a point to greet us personally at our hotel upon arrival and returned again at the end of our journey to check in. This level of personal attention was deeply appreciated and truly set the tone for the entire experience.

This trip held particular significance for me—I wanted to recreate the travel experience I had as a child in Tanzania 28 years ago, now sharing it with my own family. William helped tailor the journey from beginning to end, combining tours in Arusha, unforgettable game drives through several national parks, and a relaxing finale in Zanzibar. Not only did I get to relive one of the most cherished memories of my life, I also created a new, equally special one with my children and husband—something I will treasure forever.

The organization was flawless. The accommodations exceeded our expectations, and the itinerary was perfectly planned—thoughtfully balancing activity with relaxation, and tailored to both adults and children. We had looked into several tour companies before discovering Telly Africa, but none matched their level of commitment, personal service, or affordability. I shared my budget with William, and he curated an outstanding itinerary that delivered everything I had hoped for—all within budget. The other companies couldn’t even come close.

Special credit is also due to some remarkable individuals who made this trip even more memorable. Aron, our game drive guide, accompanied us through Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and the Serengeti. His extensive knowledge of the wildlife and environment was invaluable—he not only knew exactly where to go for the best sightings, but also enriched our understanding of everything we were seeing. He was patient, kind, and absolutely wonderful with my children.

We were also lucky to meet Joel, our driver and guide on the first and last days of the trip. His bright, warm personality made us feel instantly at ease—like reconnecting with an old friend. He introduced us to lovely local spots, and my boys especially formed a real bond with him.

We are deeply grateful to William, Aron, and Joel for the moments of wonder, laughter, and connection we shared. These are memories we will always hold dear.

I’ve been fortunate to travel often, but this experience stands out as one of the best—if not the best—I’ve had with any tour company. Telly Africa may be a small operation for now, but that’s exactly what allows them to provide such unmatched personal service. I’m excited to see how they grow, and we will absolutely use their services again as they expand into new regions.

Thank you, William and the entire team at Telly Africa, for giving us not just a holiday, but a journey full of unforgettable moments and lifelong memories.

The most organized, professional tour operators in recent past.
5/5

I was extremely excited for this trip as this was my first time going on a safari. My wife planned the whole trip and after a lot of research she came across Telly Africa. We felt it could have been a gamble as when you approach a smaller company one always hopes for the more personalized approach and not where you could be treated just as a number. How right we were! We cannot recommend Telly Africa highly enough. They ended up being exceptionally professional, extremely well priced, and always gave us that extra attention to make the entire experience truly special. William our main go to guy, was outstanding—well versed who was always available to respond to any queries. He made us feel very welcome, part of it all and we felt that our opinions mattered.

William and his business partner made a point to greet us personally at our hotel upon arrival and subsequently at the end of our journey. The level of personal attention was second to none and this made all the experience that extra special.

This trip was probably a once in a lifetime experience and the fact I could share it with my wife and children made it that extra special. William helped tailor the journey from beginning to end, combining tours in Arusha, unforgettable game drives through several national parks, and a relaxing finale in Zanzibar.

The organization was flawless. The accommodations exceeded our expectations, and the itinerary was perfectly planned—thoughtfully balancing activity with relaxation, and tailored to both adults and children. Discovering Telly Africa was a true blessing as the others did not match their level of commitment, personal service, or affordability. The other companies couldn’t even come close even at email level when we were still planning the whole idea.

Last but not least there were some super individuals that stood out in this trip. A special thanks goes to Aron, our game drive guide, who accompanied us through Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and the Serengeti. His extensive knowledge of the wildlife and environment was second to none, a true veteran, not only knew exactly where to go for the best sightings, but also taught us and explained meticoulously everything we were seeing. Also he was great with our boys aged 12 and 10, he made the journey so pleasant.

Joel, our driver and guide on the first and last days of the trip. His bright, warm personality made us feel instantly at ease in a foreign country. He felt like the friendly neighbour next door. He showed us lovely local spots and he too was excellent with kids.

These gentlemen engraved memories that will last for life.

I am a seasoned traveller but rarely do you come across a team that performs so well from beginning to end, and although I am not the one to usually jump at the first option of a travel agent, wow, were we so lucky to have found Telly Africa!

Thank you, William and the entire team at Telly Africa, from the bottom of our hearts! Memories for Life!

Very professional
5/5

We had an excellent experience with the tour operator. From the beginning, the service was extremely professional. William assisted us from the moment we purchased the package, always available and very attentive, which made a big difference in our trip planning.

During the tour, our guide Godbless was simply outstanding. In addition to being very knowledgeable, he was dedicated and friendly, which truly made the experience unforgettable.

Tanzania is a destination with breathtaking natural beauty and incredibly warm, kind, and joyful people. Although it is a relatively expensive country for tourism, with high prices for park entry fees and tours, plus a strong tipping culture, the trip is absolutely worth it.

Highly recommended for anyone seeking nature, adventure, and top-quality service.

4-day-Camping-Safari - great experience!
5/5

We booked a 4-day-budget-camping-safari with telly and Steve was our freelance guide. He did a really good job. Since it was our second time on safari, we had a strong wish to focus on the predators. Steve made everything possible: we saw the Big Five and more. He was a calm, pleasant person, and we could ask him anything – he always had an open ear for us. Steve was also an excellent driver, and we felt safe at all times.

All the meals prepared by our cook, Mishack, were fantastic! He’s still very young, but with so much talent – he could easily open a restaurant in Germany, no joke.

The camping spots were beautiful; you were directly in nature, right next to the animals. But please don’t expect German-style cleanliness – remember, it’s Africa! If you’re fine with that, camping is definitely the best choice to truly feel the African vibe.

Unfortunately, the Senator Hotel in Arusha (before and after the tour) wasn't up to our expectations - no hot water, bad internet connection. Hopefully, Telly will change this hotel in the future.

Well organised adventure
5/5

In July, we had an incredible 5-day safari through Tanzania that was absolutely unforgettable. Each day brought us to a new and breathtaking location:
• Serengeti National Park
• Ngorongoro Crater
• Banana Plantation
• Lake Manyara
• Tarangire National Park

The safari provider William, organized everything perfectly from start to finish. He arranged transfers from our hotel in Zanzibar to the airport, took care of our flight tickets to Tanzania, and ensured our journey back was just as smooth.

The safari experience itself was stunning. Our driver Aaron, who also served as our guide, was incredibly experienced. He made us feel safe and shared so many fascinating facts about the wildlife, landscape and culture.

Accommodation for all four nights was comfortable and well-chosen. Every place we stayed at was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed to relax after a day of adventure.

Highly recommended if you want an authentic, well-organized safari experience in Tanzania.

Absolutely incredible honeymoon!!
5/5

We had the most incredible honeymoon safari experience! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organised by William, and our guide Aaron was truly exceptional.

Aaron’s ability to spot wildlife was unbelievable — thanks to him, we saw the Big 5 (and even the “Big 9” as they call it now!). He shared a wealth of knowledge about every animal, was warm and friendly, and nothing was ever too much trouble. He was always on time, and made every day feel special.

The moment we entered the first park, we saw lions and even watched them attempt to hunt zebras — sooo incredible!!! Over the trip, we visited four different parks and saw an incredible variety of wildlife - hippos, monkeys, (lots of!!!) elephants, cheetah (& cubs!), leopard, buffalo, warthog, rhinos, baboons - I could go on & on.

Accommodation was incredible at every stop. We stayed one night in each place, but honestly wished we could have stayed longer because every lodge was amazing. Breakfast and dinner was always lovely, also lunch which the hotels/ lodges packed up for us the morning before we left.

Our safari truck was super comfortable, with plenty of space, charging points, and a great selection of drinks — perfect for long drives through the parks.

On top of all that, it was fantastic value for money — the quality of the experience far exceeded our expectations. We would recommend this safari without hesitation, and we’re already planning our next trip!

A Honeymoon Safari Beyond Expectations!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were initially hesitant to book a safari for our honeymoon—but choosing Telly Africa Safaris turned out to be one of the best decisions we made for our trip!

From the very beginning, the team was responsive and helpful. They arranged everything seamlessly for our 2-night, 3-day safari from Serengeti to Arusha—including flights, hotel pick-up from Paje (Zanzibar), and drop-off back to our next destination in Nungwi. The logistics were smooth and stress-free, allowing us to simply enjoy the experience.

A huge shoutout to our amazing guide, Aaron, who truly elevated the entire trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable and had an unbelievable eye for spotting wildlife—often seeing animals from great distances before we even noticed them! Thanks to him, we managed to see *the Big Five* in just 1.5 days, including a visit to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater.

The food exceeded expectations too—especially the generous picnic lunches during the game drives (even I couldn’t finish mine!). The attention to detail and comfort was apparent throughout.

As for accommodations: **Signature Serengeti Luxury Tented Camp** and **The Retreat at Ngorongoro** were absolutely stunning. The photos online truly don’t do them justice. Both stays were luxurious, peaceful, and perfect for a romantic getaway.

There are many safari tour operators out there, but we are so glad we went with Telly Africa Safaris. Their service, planning, and execution were simply outstanding. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience Tanzania’s wildlife.
