Africa Big Cat Safaris: Great people
An amazing wildlife sighting experience, very well looked after by our guides Obedi and Thomas. We covered about 1000 km, and we never felt threatened by their driving. The only hickups were the very poor bar selection at some of the lodges, and one has to bear the odd cold shower. The food was acceptable to very nice at times. This must be taken in the context that the trip offers incredible value for money. The booking process was very well handled with good pre-tour information. Tanzania offers an incredible wildlife experience, and the people of Tanzania are just so friendly and respectful.

A 2-Day Last-Minute Decision That Led to an Unforgettable Calving Season Trip in Tanzania!
Booked with Big Cat Safaris in just 2 days. Salesman William Frank was incredibly helpful and responsive. Guide Omega made the trip perfect. He drove very steadily on bumpy roads for 6 days, showing us the calving season in Serengeti and black rhinos in Ngorongoro. When the vehicle broke down on the last day, he fixed it quickly. Highly recommend! Asante Sana!

A special combination of animals and culture
We chose African Big Cats because of the special combination of animals and culture, and they didn’t let us down! The safaris were wonderful and, as it says on the can, we saw lions, leopards and cheetahs, the latter in front of us trying to drag their reedbuck kill up a bank. But the day at Eyasi was just as great, going hunting with the Hadzabe tribe and visiting their local blacksmith to see an arrowhead made from a nail. Likewise our stay with the Maasai, joining in their dances. But what made our time really successful was our guide, Elias, who was a fount of knowledge, particularly the birds I was fascinated by. One last thing - that as a vegetarian I was well catered for. We came back exhausted and exhilarated, exactly as hoped for.

All camps that were booked through African big cats were excellent and comfortable with great food. We saw all the big game we wanted and more. I really can’t say enough about what a great experience it was.

High praise for African Big Cats Safaris
Sitting at home during a blizzard in Massachusetts today cozy with the wonderful memories of our safari in late January 2026. I was so excited for the trip but the reality exceeded my dreams and expectations. A small company for big expectations!
They were very prompt to respond, and they gave us good advice regarding the sleeping arrangements. The hotel selection was very appropriate to our needs. We felt in good hands from the pick up to the drop off! We had one suitcase missing in the airport, and they helped us retrieve it just in time for the beginning of our safari. We asked for a french speaking guide so our kids ( 8 and 10) would understand all the informations given by our excellent guide, Levoy, who helped us see the big 5!!! I was worried about the long hours spent in a car with two young boys, but the fact that there is soooo much to see, and that they can move and stand up helped a lot. I would very much recommend this company!
