Excellent
I had a great time at the Mara and Lake Nakuru
James was an excellent driver and guide. The Hotels were good, food was probably the weakest point but everything else, service, location were very good.
I really enjoyed interacting with Rachael, the travel agent. I appreciated the clarity around the plan and speed of response.
Iād definitely book through Splendid again š

Professional and high quality
We had an amazing trip from start to finish with Splendid Vacations. This was our first safari and the tour we were provided with encompassed all of the animals we wanted to see and we had a great experience. Our driver, Willie, was an expert on all of the wildlife and even the plants that we came across. He was great at getting us into prime viewing positions and clearly had plenty of experience.
The hotels selected were great and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was buffet style and really delicious each day. Our rooms were all clean and were often in really cool places- with animals roaming in or nearby the grounds, or with great panoramic views.
The additional tours were also really good. The boat tour we took to see the various aquatic creatures and hippos was excellent, as well as the walking safari that followed. We visted a Maasai village which was also great.
Our trip finished with a fantastic stay in Diani Beach. The Baobab Beach resort, that the Splendid Vacations had suggested, continued to demonstrate the great service and quality that we had experienced prior in Kenya.
Our organiser, Rachael, helped us with everything- from planning our trip and what to expect, to providing reassurance and advice for any concerns we had. She quickly resolved any issues that we had and demonstrated great professionalism and service. She also helped us customise parts of our trip to fit what we wanted.

Great Well Organised Safari
Splendid Vacations did a great job organising our safari. They listened to our requirements and budget and suggested great options for us. Despite visiting Kenya and Lake Naivasha before' the Crescent Island visit suggested by Splendid was a real highlight. Our vehicle was well driven with a knowledgeable driver and we had great animal sightings. Splendid vacations communicated well and quickly. We have done lots of safaris and we would thoroughly recommend them and use them again.

An Unforgettable 5-Day Safari: Professional, Expert Guide, and Perfect Logistics!
We went on a 5-day safari (Naivasha, Nakuru, and Masai Mara) with Splendid Vacations. From the start, Maryann was super kind, helpful, and thorough. Once we arrived, we met our driver/guide, Rono, whom we can only thank and recommend to anyone who wants to book with them. Rono answered all our questions expertly and is an excellent driver. He managed to show us all the animals we wanted to see, letting us take all the photos we wanted.

Legendary!
"JJC In The Wild"
We had a turbulent start with our flight cancelled into Nairobi...but Splendid were with us every step of the way.
Their communication and organsation throughout the whole experience was top notch! Alice was quick and efficient with helping us make alternative arrangements. Nothing was too much to ask...
Then, meeting James, our legendary tour guide/driver was when the real experience began. The whole programme was magical and unforgettable and this was down to James' expertise, knowledge and kindness. The safari car itself was driven with professionalism and comfort- James is a confident, world class driver- this is needed to keep your tour on track as Kenyan traffic can be formidable.
The roof popped and sides rolled up made for uninterrupted views and memories of elephants, giraffes, rhinos, wildebeest, zebras, cheetahs, lions, leopards, pumbas....the list was endless!
The accommodation at each location was fantastic- tents, bungalows and lodges- all wonderful! Food was delicious at every stop!
The village visit was a humbling experience that we will never forget!
Thank you to this wonderful company for allowing us to create memories to last for an eternity!!!

A caring, experienced team who go above and beyond to create an exceptional safari experience.
We had an incredible safari experience in January with Safari Vacations and couldnāt recommend them highly enough.
Our driver and guide, Tim, was outstanding. With 25 years of experience, his knowledge of the parks was exceptional ā from choosing the best routes to knowing exactly when and where we had the best chance of seeing wildlife. His instincts, patience and deep understanding of animal behaviour made every game drive feel thoughtful and rewarding. We always felt safe, well looked after, and confident we were getting the most out of each day.
The accommodation staff at every location were also wonderful ā consistently friendly, welcoming and accommodating, which really added to the overall experience.
In the lead-up to the safari, Sammy was incredibly helpful and responsive, providing all the information we needed and making the planning process smooth and stress-free.
We also felt the safari offered excellent value for money ā very reasonably priced for the level of care, experience and quality throughout the trip. It was such a pleasure meeting both Sammy and Tim in person, and weāre truly grateful for Timās care and dedication in making sure we had the best possible experience. We would absolutely recommend Safari Vacations and would happily travel with them again.

Incredible Experience in Kenya!
I chose Splendid Vacations because of the well presented quote and excellent communication provided by Sammy. Sammy was always available in the lead up to the tour with any questions we had and I was extremely happy we were able to meet briefly before the tour. Our driver Tim was also excellent, I appreciate his patience on our long drives.
The tour itself was excellent and everything I wished for from our first safari experience. The lodges were all very nice with friendly helpful staff. We were even upgraded to a different lodge during our time in the Maasai Mara to a more premium option. During our game drives Tim always made sure we had a good viewing point of the animals!
Overall I would highly recommend Splendid Vacations for reliable and friendly service. I was sad that our tour had to come to an end and I look forward to my next visit to the amazing country of Kenya.

Safari amboseli masai mara nakuru
We had a blast doing amboseli nakuru and masai mara safari.
Our guide/driver mwololo was very professional and knowledgable.
We were able to see the big 5 and then some.
On a single day in masai mara we saw a leopard, cheetah and a pride of lions. Which isnt a very common thing.
The tour company replied to our request very fast. We contacted them maybe 3 days before the safari. They sent us a detailed itinerary with lodges, what we will be doing and price list.
