A great operator, well organized and very attentive to every detail.
An amazing tour! We spent 4 days on safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and we absolutely loved it. We experienced some incredible moments and stayed in mid-range lodges, which we found to be very good value for money. The food was also delicious every day, and the drivers did an incredible job.

We had an absolutely amazing safari experience and would highly recommend booking with them!
From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized by Kalvin. Communication was always friendly, helpful, and reliable, and we felt very well taken care of throughout the whole experience. Everything went smoothly, from the planning beforehand to the actual safari, which made the whole trip completely stress-free for us.
A very special thank you goes to our safari guide, Elias. He was simply fantastic! He was incredibly friendly, patient, professional, and knowledgeable. He explained so much about the animals, nature, and the different areas we visited, and you could really tell how passionate he is about his work. He always made sure that we were comfortable and had the best possible safari experience.
We saw so many incredible animals and had unforgettable moments that we will remember for a very long time. Elias always knew where to look and gave us enough time to enjoy the animals, take photos, and simply appreciate the experience without ever feeling rushed.
The combination of the excellent organization by Kalvin and having Elias as our guide made our safari truly special. We felt safe, comfortable, and very well looked after the entire time.
We would book with them again anytime without hesitation and would especially be very happy to have Elias as our guide again. Thank you so much for making our safari such an unforgettable part of our trip and honeymoon. It was definitely one of the highlights of our time in Tanzania!

Wow! Such a great experience with Shenga from start to finish!!
There are thousands of safari company in Tanzania but as I was looking around, I felt the most comfortable with Shenga. Communication was great along with the cost. Kelvin and I kept in communication for a year and he helped me organized a seamless safari experience for my group. The accomodations were top notch and the guides were very knowledgeable. We lucked out with seeing the big 5s, all thanks to the guides. We were also spoiled with hot meals whilst other groups had box lunches. All around wonderful experience!

We had the most incredible experience on our safari in Tanzania, and a huge part of that was because of our amazing guide, Brighton! 🦁🐘🦒
We were celebrating our 10-year anniversary, and this trip was already so special to us, but Brighton truly made it unforgettable. He was incredibly friendly, kind, patient, and made us feel comfortable and safe throughout the entire safari. His knowledge was unbelievable—no matter what we asked, he always had an answer and took the time to explain everything to us.
We were so lucky to see every animal we hoped for and more, and Brighton knew exactly where to go and when to be there. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does and takes pride in giving his guests the best experience possible.
We are so grateful for all the memories we made and will be talking about this safari for years to come. If you are planning a safari in Tanzania, I highly recommend requesting Brighton as your guide! We will absolutely recommend him to all of our family and friends. ❤️🇹🇿

Knowledgeable and chatty
From the get go Kelvin was extremely helpful and responsive. My mum and I booked with Kelvin about 8 months in advance, from booking the safari, to accommodation and extra tours in Arusha, to our overnight bus to Dar Es Salaam, Kelvin was there all the way to help us. Answered every question I had, whether it be best advice for money, or what to pack, Kelvin emailed back and no question was too hard. The safari itself was phenomenal, we had one minor hiccup having to change specific days, so we had to change our accommodation one night, but one phone call to Kelvin and it was all rectified. We had a young lad Josh pick us up from the airport and because we had a couple days in Arusha before safari, Josh gave us a good city tour - we had another team member George drop us to the bus stop at Arusha to get on the bus to Dar Es Salaam, and everyone person we dealt with where without a doubt incredible. Our tour guide Pita was so knowledgeable, he knew where to go, and what to see, answered every question we had about the animals. I will note one thing - you are on Africa time, so sometimes may be a little late! But no fear Hakuna Matata!
Extremely patient, detail-oriented and friendly.
We just finished an incredible 7-day trip through the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater with Shenga Safaris, and the entire experience was outstanding. From the very start, our operator, Kelvin, was incredibly friendly and super responsive, making the booking and planning completely seamless. Our guide, William, was fantastic—he kept us laughing with his great sense of humor and had an amazing eye for spotting the big animals. Overall, it was a flawless experience and we highly recommend them!

Great people, great accommodations, great food, and most importantly fantastic wildlife sightings!
We went on a safari with Shenga early this may. We were greeted at the airport by kelvin (one of the owners) and Eli (the tour guide. Everything from start to finish on this safari was perfect. From the jeep to the lodges, to the animals we got to see. Eli, our guide, really made our trip. He was so funny and so knowledgeable and really made this an unforgettable expirence. I highly recommend requesting Eli. We saw just about everything we wanted to see. 30 plus lions, some of them just 5 feet away. 5 cheetahs also just a few feet away and so much more. What an experience!
Best Experience I could have dreamed of!
After looking around at various companies, I chose Shanga tours and had an incredible experience. They answer questions quickly, were very organized and professional, and provided the most amount of Safari days (5days) at the lowest price compared to other companies, which only offered 4 days of safari at the same price or higher. They even upgraded us to a nicer lodge at no extra charge. Ellie, our tour guide, was exceptional! He was charismatic, knowledgeable, flexible, and so fun. He genuinely cared that we enjoyed our experience and managed to get us only a few feet away from lionesses, hippos, elephants and their babies, male lions, cheetahs, zebras, wildabeests, etc, etc. you HAVE to choose Shanga tours you won’t be disappointed!!! Thank you Kelvin and Ellie for everything!

Shenga tours is a great tour service especially when it comes to price. It was very affordable and the experiences had during the tours are ones that I will not forget. I highly recommend anybody to book a tour through Shenga no matter the budget size. Kelvin (one of the owners ) is a very kind and caring person along with our guide Elli. Elli made sure we had fun no matter what we were doing and by the end of the trip became more of a friend than a guide.

Exceptional
I contacted a range of different tour operators for my safari to the Serengeti and to the Ngorongoro Crater. Shenga Tours immediately stood out from the others in the way that they responded quickly and comprehensively and always went the extra mile to respond fully to questions and to provide valuable advice.
Nothing was too much trouble and I was made to feel like I was Shenga's special customer with the degree of attention that was provided. All of the accommodation that we discussed and agreed on lived up to - and exceeded my expectations and the safari itself was an wonderful experience with an excellent driver / guide, who was a great source of information and was expert in tracking down a huge range of animals - including the 'big five'.
Special mention goes to Kelvin who was meticulous in every detail and supported me all the way in my safari plans. He was a total pleasure to deal with and I cannot thank him enough for all his hard work and care. He met me on arrival and escorted me when I left for the airport at the end. He was fundamental in making my safari the huge success that it was. With the current travel problems caused by the situation in the Middle East, Kelvin helped resolve any issues and concerns that arose due to events outside his control. I had to stay an additional night in Tanzania due to flight disruptions and Kelvin immediately stepped in and made hotel arrangements for me accordingly.
I honestly would recommend Shenga Tours and Safaris to anyone who wants a safari organised with peace of mind. It was excellent value for money and I enjoyed every minute.
