Professional, well-organized safari from a local operator with excellent personal service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had an excellent safari experience with Akondo Adventures and would happily recommend them to others.
From our first inquiry until the end of the trip, communication was friendly, prompt, and professional. Tassiana was always available to answer our questions and proactively checked in during the safari to make sure everything was going well.
Our guide Richard was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, experienced, and clearly passionate about wildlife. Thanks to his expertise, we saw an incredible variety of animals, including all of the Big Five, and learned a lot about Tanzania’s national parks and ecosystems along the way. He was also flexible, patient, and made every day enjoyable.
The itinerary was well planned, with comfortable accommodation and unforgettable experiences throughout. One particularly memorable surprise was a beautifully arranged bush lunch as well as the walking Safari, which was a real highlight of the trip. We also appreciated the small personal touches and the care taken to ensure everything ran smoothly.
One point that could be communicated more clearly is the payment process. Credit card payments through their payment provider incur a processing fee, which reduced the amount received by the operator. Although this was mentioned in the booking terms and clearly highlighted via E-Mail, we would have preferred if the invoices had reflected the final amount due from the beginning to avoid any confusion.
Overall, however, this was a fantastic safari that exceeded our expectations. We felt well looked after from start to finish and returned home with unforgettable memories. Thank you to Tassiana, Richard, and the entire Akondo Adventures team for making our first safari such a special experience.

An Extraordinary Adventure with Akondo Adventures
Magnificent experience. We booked everything remotely from Italy with ease because Boris supported us throughout the entire booking process. From the moment we arrived in Tanzania, we always had someone available to assist us.
Our guide, David, was fantastic and took us to see some truly spectacular places. All the lodges where we stayed were beautiful, clean, and comfortable.

Your perfect choice for Tanzania Safari
We booked our entire safari from Italy, and the process was incredibly smooth thanks to Boris. He accommodated all of our requests and was always available to assist us. Given the uncertainty of the current global situation and potential flight disruptions, we especially appreciated his support and flexibility in case our flights were affected.
Upon arriving in Arusha, the Akondo team welcomed us and gave us a great introduction to the city. The real adventure began the following day, when David picked us up for an unforgettable 4-day safari through Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti National Parks.
David was an exceptional guide. His English was excellent, and his many years of safari experience allowed him to take us to the best wildlife viewing spots. We felt very fortunate to have him leading our journey.
Everything was perfectly organized by the Akondo team. The hotels were comfortable and well-maintained, while the lodges exceeded all expectations—an outstanding selection that made the experience even more special.
We highly recommend Akondo Adventures to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent service made this a truly unforgettable experience.

I am so glad I went with Akondo adventures. From the start to finish they were very nice and professional. Our tour guide Richard was excellent and very knowledgeable. He taught me so many things about the animals that I never knew. I felt safe the entire time and he made sure we saw all the animals we wanted to see. Amazing 4 days Safari with Julius
We just finished a 4 days / 5 nights private safari journey with Akondo Adventures and our amazing guide Julius. We did Serengeti (2), Tarangire (1) and Ngongoro crater (1) and got to see the big 5.
I was really able to disconnect and enjoy every moments of the safari, since Julius was taking care of everything. No worries (Hakuna Matata) with him which is exactly what I needed.
He was very knowledgeable, safe driving, caring and we couldn't have asked for a better guide for our first safari. He made sure to ask if everything was okay, at every accomodation, at every meal, every spots we visisted, to make our experience the best. We learned so much through Julius experience and passion and he made sure to stop at the very best spot every time for me to get the perfect pictures.
Our car was very comfortable, clean and perfect for animal sighting.
From the company, the journey was great, well-planed even though we were on a tight schedule and planned this trip last minute.
Every accomodations was amazing and every meal (breakfast,lunch and dinner) was excellent which is a big plus for me on a trip.
Also s/o to Ezequiel our driver to and from the airport, who made us feel much welcomed as soon as we stepped in Tanzania, which made our journey great.

Truly Unforgettable
My wife and I recently completed an incredible 11-day safari adventure in Tanzania with Akondo Adventures, and it exceeded all of our expectations.
From the very beginning, Philip was an outstanding travel agent. He was responsive, professional, and helped create an itinerary that made our anniversary trip truly unforgettable. His attention to detail and commitment to making sure everything went smoothly gave us confidence throughout the entire planning process.
Our safari guide, Richard, was absolutely exceptional. His passion for wildlife and love for his job were evident every single day. We were amazed by his knowledge of the animals we viewed throughout the trip. Most importantly, he was determined to help us achieve our bucket-list goal of seeing the Big Five, and thanks to his expertise and dedication, we successfully saw all of the big five! Richard’s experience gave up incredible viewing opportunities made the safari experience even more special.
We also experienced an unexpected challenge when our luggage was delayed and didn’t arrive until two days after we landed. Thankfully, our transfer driver Ezekiel was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. What could have been a stressful situation became much easier to manage because of his caring attitude and willingness to assist us every step of the way.

An Unforgettable Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar Adventure with Akondo Adventures
My husband and I recently completed an incredible Tanzania safari and Zanzibar beach vacation with Akondo Adventures in June 2026, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we started planning until the day we flew home, everything was seamless, professional, and unforgettable.
A huge thank you to Philip, our travel agent, who was incredibly responsive throughout the entire booking process. Despite the time difference between California and Tanzania, he always replied quickly, answered every question thoroughly, and even helped with last-minute packing questions just days before departure. His excellent communication gave us confidence that we had chosen the right company.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by our transfer driver, Ezekiel, who made us feel welcome immediately. He was friendly, punctual, and ensured every transfer was smooth and comfortable.
Our safari guide, Richard, was truly exceptional and played a huge role in making this trip so memorable. His knowledge of wildlife, ecosystems, local culture, and animal behavior was remarkable. He had an incredible ability to spot animals from great distances and always positioned the vehicle perfectly for viewing and photography. Thanks to Richard, we enjoyed unforgettable game drives and incredible wildlife encounters throughout our journey.
The itinerary itself was perfectly designed, combining some of Tanzania's most iconic safari destinations with a relaxing beach getaway in Zanzibar. We experienced the beauty of Tarangire National Park, the vast plains of the Serengeti, and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before ending our adventure on the stunning beaches of Zanzibar. It was the perfect balance of excitement, wildlife, scenery, and relaxation.
The accommodations throughout the trip were excellent, and every detail was thoughtfully planned. We never had to worry about logistics, allowing us to fully enjoy the experience and focus on creating lifelong memories.
What stood out most was Akondo Adventures' attention to detail and genuine commitment to providing exceptional service. Every aspect of the trip felt personalized, organized, and stress-free.
