Professional, informative and reliable
We had a 3 day trip including a full day safari and a trip to a Masai camp . Our guide was Michael who was amazing . He looked after us the whole time and gave us the most fantastic experience . Thank you so much Michael for a wonderful experience and giving us amazing memories to treasure .

Kihindo Tours and Safaris was exceptional from the very beginning. I requested quotes from three different companies. Kihindo provided the most thorough information, including a pre-departure information. We ended up completing 2 separate tours through them - a 1-day Safari to Mikumi National Park and a 1-day tour of Dar Es Salaam. Both were exceptional and provided great value for the money sent.
I highly recommend them and if I have the opportunity to return to Tanzania, I will reach out to them again!
On the Safari, there was train travel required, and the team ensured that we go on the correct train and picked us up at the destination and got us to Mikumi park. Our guide, Saloniki, was great in pointing out animals and identifying them including the exotic birds.
On the City Tour, they accommodated the fact that we wanted more time at the National Museum and Village Museum. They also assisted us in finding a reputable jeweler so that we could pick up a Tanzanite piece to commemorate our visit. The extended the return time, so that we were able to have the most complete experience possible.

great experience
what a lovely trip we had. Nuhu was amazing guide and very knowlegleable. we spent day and a half in game drives and he showed us everything from really close.

Amazing personal experience
It was an amazing private tour. Our safari guide Nuhu really knew the places to go and always went extra mile so we would see and feel the real safari. From antilopes to zebras, elephants and even lions (plural)!!
That was a lifetime experience!

We are so happy with this experience! It was magnificent, perfectly organized, with exceptional guides and a fantastic driver. We spent the night at Camp Lilac, which is a wonderful place! We received a very warm welcome. The waterfalls at Chizua were magical, and the hike was extraordinary! Thank you all, we will cherish these wonderful memories.

Astonishing experience
They arranged for me a three-day trip to Gombe Park and a few days later to a safari in Mikumi Park and another day of birdwatching.
It's a completely trustworthy tour operator, they are very flexible in planning trips. The advance payment for both trips and the final payment was made through the instant payment gateway. Kihindo almost real-time confirmed the payment. This ensures that they are trustworthy.
The trip to Gombe was perfectly organized. Everything was taken care of by the guide Peter, who took care of food for the cook who came with us from Kigoma. Portions of lunch and dinner were gigantic and very tasty
The accommodation was in a spacious glamping just off Lake Tanganyika.
The chimpanzees in Gombe Park are easily accessible after a short, undemanding trekking.
The visit to Gombe and the number of successful observations of chimpanzees exceeded my expectations.
A few days later, I went to Mikumi Park where, along with Nuhu and Michael, we had a day-long game drive. The number of animals encountered there in a short time was staggering. Both guides made sure that I observed as many birds and large mammals as possible in the park.
The night took place in the very original and luxurious Camp Lilac. The next day, from the very day, I had a birdwatching on foot in the surrounding bush.
I am truly thrilled with what I experienced with Kihindo Tours and Safaris along with the support of Peter, Michael and Nuhu. Thank you all.

Very professional and competent
Everything was organized down to the smallest detail. We were looked after from start to finish. The guides were all very knowledgeable and friendly, and the taxis were all punctual and reliable. We only had a small issue with the last taxi, but by contacting the agency on WhatsApp, they immediately resolved the issue and arranged for another taxi in no time. I highly recommend them; I will definitely use Kihindo in the future.

The company itself is already an inspiration. They all are very helpfull, they think ahead and they always make sure you are getting the experience you want. Beforehand, our friends booked this stay and we read a lot of promising reviews about this company. Well, everything was true. They plan everything for you so you don’t have to think about anything from being picked up at your stay in zanzibar, to taking the ferry, to being picked up with a nameboard and taking the train (or in our case, going with the car) to arriving at mikumi and the stays they arrange are amazing. For us dutchies (from the Netherlands) that already is a big plus. But, i have to say, there is only one person who have made our safari and the whole journey in Tanzania as perfect and wonderful as it could be. Our tourguide named Michael is one of the most special persons we have every met. He is kind, has a good and pure heart and he knows a lot about the animals. Everywhere we go, he had a story to tell, information to give and questions he could answer. He brought his book with him and have all the information about the animals that there was. Now, in the Netherlands, we have a lot to tell to our friends and family other than showing them the pictures. He is kind hearted and has love for the animals and the wild life, something that makes the experience for us a thousand times better. Without him, our experience would be good but now, because of Michael, it was perfect. He knows all the good spots of where the animals hide, we even got to see hyena’s and lions (more than once!!!!!).
Michael, thank you for everything! If we ever go back to Tanzania, we will come again to Mikumi to meet you. Every friend or family who is interested in going to safari in Tanzania, we will recommend your company and tell them to ask for Michael as their tour guide.

AMAZING Shout out to tour guide Michael!
My wife and I had an absolutely amazing time on this safari. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The adventure itself was beautiful, and seeing the wildlife in their natural habitat was an unforgettable experience.
What made this trip truly special was our tour guide Michael. He was fantastic in every way. His English was excellent, he explained everything clearly and in great detail, and he always took his time to make sure we had the best possible experience. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and passionate about his work. Honestly, I cannot stop complimenting him – he made this safari so much more enjoyable.
This was without a doubt the best adventure I have ever had, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tanzania. If you’re thinking about booking this safari, do it – you won’t regret it!
