Well organised and fun!
Axis were extremely communicative before and during the safari trip. Rita responded very quickly and was able to accommodate a last minute request to change the itinerary.
All transfers were well-organised and the accommodation was comfortable throughout our trip, particularly Enkorok camp.
For the tour itself we had two guides, Leonard really stood out to us as he was very knowledgable and able to find all the animals for us to see. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and even drove us for 11 hours on a full day game drive in Masai Mara.

Amos is the BEST- with his knowledge of the animals, Kenya history and geography, and personality!!
We had the best time on our safari with Axis Africa!! we had a huge group of 27, all family, and Axis accommodated us all perfectly! We called our tour guides, the Big Five! Amos was our personal tour guide and driver. We all fell in love with them. He was SO knowledgeable about Kenya - its history and current political/economical/societal state, the geography, and all things about the animals there. We absolutely fell in love with Amos! His positive and fun personality was contagious, and we will miss being around him. Amos made all of our needs were met, answered all of our questions, and got to know each one of our names and things about us.
We visited the Masai Mara , Lake Navaisha, and Amboseli. We spent a lot of time driving, and Amos made it so enjoyable. Amos wasn’t just our tour guide - he became our good friend. (Long live our War Bus crew!)
We loved working with the other guides, and their positivity, camaraderie and kindness is something that we will also be taking away from our experience in Kenya.

Axis Safaris Turned Our Dream Safari into Reality
From our very first interaction with Axis Safaris everything was effortless. We worked with Tabitha, and she was an absolute star! :) She was incredibly responsive, patient, and happy to customize the itinerary exactly the way we wanted, including booking specific hotels of our choice. Planning a safari can feel overwhelming, but she made the entire process smooth and stress-free. We couldn't have asked for a better trip planner.
Our hotel pickup was seamless, and the 4x4 safari vehicle was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for the long drives.
We were lucky enough to have Charles (fondly known as "Sir Charles") as our guide, and honestly, he deserves a review of his own! Haha! With over 16 years of experience, his knowledge of wildlife, animal behavior, and the parks was simply incredible. He was funny, patient, accommodating, and somehow always knew exactly where to be and when.
Whether it was the Black Rock Pride in the Mara, Rhinos at Lake Nakuru, or the magnificent elephants of Amboseli, Sir Charles was constantly in touch with other guides and expertly positioned us for the best sightings. We never had a dull moment :)
One of my favorite memories was in Amboseli. We spotted a herd of elephants far in the distance and were hoping they'd come closer. Instead of chasing them, Sir Charles smiled and said, "Just be patient, they'll come to us." Sure enough, that entire herd walked right in front of our vehicle!!!! We had our Elephant Crossing moment :) it was pure magic and a perfect example of how experience beats luck every time.
He made sure our photographs were perfect, positioning the vehicle at the perfect angles, giving us plenty of time at sightings, and sharing fascinating animal facts throughout the journey. Even the nearly 8-hour drive from Nakuru to Amboseli (via Nairobi) somehow felt comfortable thanks to his smooth driving and well-planned breaks. We felt safe every single minute.
People often say, "A guide can make or break your safari." I used to think that was an exaggeration... until this trip. Now I completely believe it. If we ever return to Kenya, we'll be asking for Sir Charles without a second thought :)

Exceptional guides, nice trucks, so fun.
Went on safari with my family and their families, 27 people in total, ages 6-74. Our guides Khalifa and Kevin were exceptional. The most important part of the trip is the guide and Axis did great. Thank you so much!

very professionel, helpful and good organised
We went on a 3-day safari to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, and it was an unforgettable experience! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish.
We stayed at Wild Nest Mara, and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. The tents were very clean, comfortable, and equipped with a private shower and hot water. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The food was also excellent.
A special thank you to our guide, Wycliffe, who made this trip truly unforgettable. He showed us the incredible beauty of the Maasai Mara, shared fascinating knowledge about the wildlife and the reserve, and made sure we had the best possible safari experience. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help.
We absolutely loved every moment of our time in the Maasai Mara and can highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kenya. We would definitely do it again!

Excellent
We are a family and have just finished a 3-day safari in the Masai Mara with Wycliffe. It was an amazing experience! Our guide was very kind and helpful; he knows the park perfectly and often took us off the beaten path to look for animals or get a closer view. We saw top predators from just a meter away and an incredible number of animals of every species in huge herds. We highly recommend Axis Africa!!!

Amazing
It was an incredible experience. These days in the Maasai Mara will be unforgettable. Our guide, Wycliffe, was fantastic...always kind, helpful, and very thoughtful. We saw an incredible number of animals and, with the exception of the rhino, all the Big Five. We couldn't have asked for a better experience than the one we had with Wycliffe.

First class safari.
The service provided by Axis was outstanding. The communications with Rita Wagura were as good as any I had had in many years of travelling: very fast, responsive to my requests, and patient when I asked for changes, all with a personal friendly touch. The icing on the cake was that the quote was quite competitive. The execution of the safari was flawless and our guide/driver Jumbe was very good and knowledgeable and very friendly. Through a combination of luck and his skills we viewed more animals and animal activities than in any of my 3 previous safaris.

Friendly, reliable, and great at tracking – we felt so safe and happy.
Our safari driver and guide Raymond was wonderfully friendly, highly reliable, and so skilled at tracking that we saw an incredible range of animals—from elephants to lions，leopards and cheetahs—yet what truly stood out was his genuine warmth and patience, which made me feel completely at ease and deeply appreciative, as if we were exploring with a trusted friend rather than a hired professional, and for that I can honestly say he turned a great game drive into an unforgettable adventure I would recommend without hesitation.

Marcus made us feel safe, cared for and gave our family a safari we will never forget.
Our African safari was a bucket list trip for our family and something we had been so excited about and planning for over a year. From the moment we met Marcus from Axis Africa Safaris, we genuinely felt so well taken care of.
Marcus was our driver and guide, and we always felt incredibly safe with him. He is a very cautious and experienced driver, and we felt protected and completely comfortable throughout our entire trip.
His knowledge of Kenya, the culture, the game parks and especially the animals was amazing. We learnt so much from him along the way. He was also a fantastic listener and really took the time to understand what we wanted from our safari and accommodate our requests.
And when it came to the actual safari Marcus gave us front row seats to the animal action! We had some absolutely incredible close encounters and experiences that we will never forget.
We absolutely loved our safari and cannot recommend Marcus and Axis Africa Safaris highly enough. This trip has given our family memories that will genuinely last a lifetime, and Marcus played such a big part in making it so special.
