Licensed and Nairobi-based
Bookara Tours & Safaris is a Kenyan company (reg. PVT-KW192OWZ), licensed by the
Tourism Regulatory Authority as a Class C Tour & Safari Operator, licence
TRA1/47/C01/92463. We are based in Nairobi and run our own trips — we are not an
agent reselling someone else's departures.
What a quote includes
We hold direct contracted rates with the lodges we use, which means we can quote
you a single price that already covers accommodation, all park and conservancy
fees, and a private vehicle with your own driver-guide. Park fees in particular
are the line most often left out of a safari quote, and they are substantial.
Ours are in the price from the start.
Where we go
Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Samburu, Laikipia, Tsavo, and
the coast at Diani and Mombasa. Trips run from three days to two weeks, from
camping through to lodges. If none of our itineraries fits, tell us what you want
to see and we will build one around it — most of what we run is custom.
How we work
You deal with the people who actually operate your trip, not a call centre. Plan
by email or over WhatsApp, book online with secure checkout, and get written
confirmation for every stage. Our team replies 7am–10pm East Africa Time.
Conservation
One percent of every booking goes to ranger salaries through our conservation
partners: the Mara Conservancy, Lewa and Ol Pejeta.
