Paul was the absolute BEST!!
5/5

My husband Brian and I went on a Call of Africa Safari tour today, led by our driver, Paul. It was AMAZING and I cannot recommend this company + Paul enough! We started with a short safari at Nairobi National Park where we saw 3 of the Big 5 plus my favorite animal, the giraffe. Paul was patient with us and went the extra mile to ensure we got all the pictures and video we wanted before moving on. He was also extremely knowledgeable and somehow knew where and when to find the animals. We then went to the elephant orphanage where we watched baby elephants get fed, which was really fun. Then Paul took us to a local restaurant to get food and visit a nearby market. My husband and I spent wayyyyy too much time at the market but Paul never complained or seemed inconvenienced, which we really appreciated. Lastly, we went to the Giraffe Manor where Paul showed us the best way to trick the giraffes into giving us great pictures. He was even our photographer so we could get pictures together!

I can’t say enough good things about Paul and how wonderful he made this experience. We booked another excursion with Call of Africa for tomorrow (a city tour), and we REALLY hope Paul can be our guide again. We just loved him!!

Exceeded all expectations
5/5

Although my expectations for the 2-week tour in Zimbabwe were pretty high, Call Of Africa exceeded them all- beginning with close contact with Africa's most beautiful animals with our deeply experienced guides, who had wikipedic knowledge of the wildlife and plantlife, as well as geological and historic knowledge, to name a few realms. Our sharp-eyed guide spotted an amazing column of small ants all crossing the dirt road like soldiers on their way to battle - spotted them from the Land Cruiser at night! This as well as gorgeous sightings of elephant, lions, giraffes, hippos, impala, any number of festive looking birds, etc- the list goes on.
We could get as involved as we wanted to with flexible options, and no crowded touristy viewing here! Some days we never saw other human being until we repaired back to our lodge.
Speaking of lodges, you can get as fancy or rustic as you want; we went seamlessly from one to the other. From chartered planes to incredible 5-star lodges in the middle of the bush where animals can greet you at your back door, or to a rustic hut with the same. The food was spectacular, and lodges staffed by people local to the areas- which was a huge plus- as the lodging companies (Imelvo, etc) all had staked interests in the surrounding communities whether it be assisting schools and villages, and of course for wildlife conservation.
The attention to detail is painstaking, and the company even covered the penalty for a change of flight plans which had to happen.
Meanwhile while there is priority paid at all times to the safety of the clients. I don't know what more a person could ask.
