Being able to make the journey of our lives very independently with our family. We made our wishes and budget known and that resulted in a nice suitable trip. Everything neatly within budget and no nasty surprises during the trip. Everything is arranged down to the last detail. A beautiful travel book in advance and personal contact during the trip.
We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and there is nothing we thought about afterwards; if only they had arranged it differently. The accommodations were top notch, the activities great.
If we are ever allowed to go again, we will definitely go with Tailor Made Safaris.

First time to South Africa and went to sea with Safaris op maat. Liska arranged everything well. Everything is clearly described in the book that we received in advance. What a wonderful trip we had, organised by tailor-made safaris
We had an absolutely fantastic trip, expertly arranged by Safaris op Maat. The itinerary featured a wonderful mix of beautiful lodges and diverse landscapes. Communication throughout was excellent—via email, WhatsApp, and in person in St. Lucia. During the planning stage, we received a detailed online proposal with all the essential information, and one to two weeks before departure, a clear and comprehensive travel book with everything we needed for the trip.
We traveled with three adults in August 2025, visiting the Drakensberg, Ithala, St. Lucia, Kosi Bay, and other quiet, off-the-beaten-path locations. We loved the small-scale, varied lodges, which offered a truly unique experience. The game drives were especially enjoyable, with a maximum of three vehicles in the area, instead of 20 all racing to see the animals first.
What we appreciated most was the relaxed pace—less time spent traveling, more time experiencing the destinations. After all, we already spend plenty of time driving in our daily lives!

Our family adventure in South Africa and Mozambique was a perfectly organized trip all around. Just returned from an amazing trip with Tailor Made Safaris to Cape Town and the Elephant Coast — our second journey with them. This time, Candace arranged everything perfectly for us.
