We couldn’t have wished for a better tour operator
We went on a wonderful trip, put together by Tailor Made Safaris based on our wishes. Both in the Netherlands and in South Africa, we had very pleasant contact with Geert and his team — always easy to reach, thoughtful, flexible, and incredibly knowledgeable.
Everything was arranged down to the last detail, and when it turned out we had forgotten to bring something important from the Netherlands, they helped us incredibly quickly and creatively.
We hope to return to beautiful South Africa someday, and when we do, we will without any doubt turn to Tailor Made Safaris again 🤩

Perfect combination of adventure and care free travel
The trip we took was the perfect combination of adventure and carefree travel. Safaris, canoeing, snorkelling, and hiking — this holiday had everything we wanted and was tailored exactly to our wishes.
In our personal travel guide, each day was clearly outlined: what time we needed to leave, what we would be doing, and which parts of the route required extra attention from us.

Helpful, good communication and pro-active
In July 2025, our family of four had an amazing holiday in South Africa. We truly saw everything we had hoped for beforehand.
After our first contact at a travel fair, Tailor Made Safaris helped us tremendously with suggestions, as well as planning and booking the different parts of our trip. Even during the journey, you can easily get in touch if needed, and they respond quickly whenever a small issue comes up in the activity planning.

Very helpfull and listens to the wishes of the clients
Together with the family we booked an amazing 2.5-week trip with Tailor Made Safaris. After speaking with the owner at the Vakantiebeurs, we immediately knew this was the organisation we wanted to book with. Very personal, they really listen to all your wishes, and then they put together a beautiful trip. We could adjust and tweak the itinerary as much as we wanted until everything was perfect.
Even during the trip they were incredibly helpful. When things didn’t go as planned (for example, cancelled flights), they were genuinely caring, thought along with us, and helped wherever they could.
The trip was truly fantastic, and we would book with Tailor Made Safaris again in a heartbeat.

Amazing vacation thanks to Tailor Made Safaris!
In January, we visited the holiday fair at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. We were looking for a safari in South Africa. The presentation at the Safari op Maat stand was the deciding factor for us. A tailor-made safari (with lots of input from us) in South Africa's Elephant Coast. Tailor Made Safaris put together a fantastic self-drive tour for us.
Everything is well organized, they listen carefully to your wishes, no effort is too much, and answers to your questions are never long in coming (thanks to our personal contact Angela). We received a beautiful travel book in advance with all the addresses, information about the country, customs, and where to find the best restaurants. The personal contact during the trip is also great.
We traveled through South Africa for 24 days—from Cape Town to the Drakensberg Mountains, Kosi Bay, Tembe Elephant Park, St. Lucia, Pongola Game Reserve, etc. to Makongo Hills. Here we experienced an unplanned trip, attaching a tracker to an elephant. In a word, it was a great vacation!

A fantastic experience.
A fantastic experience. Great organisation. Very personal. All questions were answered and every issue was resolved. The only thing we underestimated was the driving time — in reality it took longer because of the many potholes. Tailor Made Safaris truly lives up to its name! Highly recommended!

Great tour operators
Waiting for our flight back to Amsterdam after an amazing trip perfectly organized by Tailor Made Safaris.
From game drives to kayaking and snorkeling, walking safaris and bush braais — sleeping in beautiful tents and ending in a super-luxurious lodge. What an absolute treat!

Just returned from an amazing trip with Tailor Made Safaris to Cape Town and the Elephant Coast — our second journey with them. This time, Candace arranged everything perfectly for us.
Beforehand, communication via email was quick and clear, and of course, we received the beautiful photo book containing all the information we needed for the trip. The itinerary was thoughtfully structured, saving the best for last. We didn’t spend too much time driving and got to see and do so many wonderful things — all at a very reasonable price!
